ORAS OU Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X, Choice Scarf Excadrill, and Serperior Offensive Core

Hello! This is a team I made centered around the core of DD Mega Zard X, Scarfed Drill, and Sub Leech Seed Serperior.

First off the mega of the team- Mega Charizard X.

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance

This is the sweeper of the team. Flare Blitz is Charizard's strongest physical STAB Tough Claws boosted fire move. Earthquake is there for Heatran, as that is usually used as a check for Zard X. It can also kill most steel types without taking recoil from Flare Blitz. Dragon Claw for the Lati twins and a decently powerful STAB Tough Claws boosted dragon move. I chose Dragon Claw over Outrage so I can switch up moves and not get set up on by fairies. 252 Attack Adamant to hit as hard as possible, since after one DD you out speed all non-scarfers in OU. 252 Speed for to out speed after one DD.

Next the secondary sweeper and hazard remover- Excadrill.

Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Iron Head

This is the secondary sweeper of the team and hazard remover. This takes care of Rotom-W which walls Mega Zard X. Mold Breaker allows you to hit all levitaters with Earthquake, as it's Excadrill's strongest ground move. Rock Slide to hit all flying pokemon for super effective pokemon except Landorus-T or Gliscor. Rapid Spin to remove hazards which Zard hates especially before mega evolving. Iron Head as it's Excadrill's strongest STAB physical steel move. EV's are standard for Excadrill to maximize power and speed.

The last of the sweepers- Serperior.

Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Hidden Power [Fire]

This is the last of the sweepers. Serperior is mostly here to take care of Rotom-W and Quagsire and other Water types. Leaf Storm combined with Contrary is a terrifying combo and can sweep teams. Sub+Leech Seed combined with Serperior's high speed can wear down some pokemon so serp can finish them off with Leaf Storm or HP Fire, also it's there to increase Serperior's longevity. HP fire to hit Steel types such as Ferrothorn,Scizor,Magnezone, and others.

The suicide lead- Azelf.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Explosion
- Psychic
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock

This is the suicide lead, which isn't necessary on teams but is nice. Azelf's high speed allows it to out speed most stuff in OU like the lati twins and other 110 base speeds. Azelf's job is to come in and set up rocks. Psychic for Gengars as Azelf out speeds them. Fire Blast in case people think they can go into a Ferrothorn and eat up the Explosion then BOOM Fire Blast and that'a a dead Ferrothorn. Finally, my personal favorite move in the game, Explosion. With it's BLISTERING 250 base power and Azelf's 125 base attack, Explosion does a number to most opponents. 252 EVs in SpAtt because power. 4 EVs in Att for extra power. 252 EVs in Sp to maximize Azelf's speed/

The bird spam check- Rotom-W

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDef
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

In my opinion the best defensive pivot and bird spam check in the current OU ORAS Metagame. This thing has few checks with it's amazing typing and stats. It eats up hits and delivers damage decently hard. Hydro Pump because it's Rotom's strongest(and only) water move. Volt Switch to gain momentum. Will-O-Wisp to burn stuff and halve their attack. Pain Split as a non-reliable way of recovery.

The Wallbreaker- Dragonite

Dragonite @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Iron Tail
- Superpower
- Extreme Speed

This is the wallbreaker. In my opinion a very underrated pokemon. With Dragonite's amazing 134 base attack and with a choice band this thing's base attack goes through the roof. Outrage to destroy people's lives as few things can eat up an Outrage(besides fairies). Iron Tail to catch those fairies off guard. Superpower to catch those steel types off guard. Finally, Extreme Speed for the extra priority and clean up ability. With 252 EVs in attack to maximize attack. 176 EVs in speed to out speed Adamant Bisharp and Breloom, and the rest in HP for bulk.

Threatlist: Scarf Hoopa-U, Gengar, and Alakazam(both mega and not).

All these three wall breaking abilities and speed rips through my team, especially Gengar being immune to Extreme Speed. They are not that hard to kill with Excadrill but they still rip holes through my team.

Hey ElectricMonkey, the offensive core of CBNite + DDZardX seems like its very effective in overwhelming physical walls, especially with Serperior being capable to scaring out stuff like Slowbro and Hippowdon while preventing them from recovering. This is a pretty solid team, so I only have a few small suggestions to try to improve the overall performance and structure of it.

The biggest issue I see with your team is that you're pretty weak to the Latis, seeing as though only your Excadrill can stomach a hit, and only one Draco for that matter, while you have Rotom-W that they have an opportunity to come in against, as well as on unboosted Charizard-X, Dragonite, and Serperior on a double switch or after you get a kill with any of them. So, to help patch this up, as well as help with the weakness you stated you had against Gengar and Alakazam, and Hoopa-U to an extent, you should run Chople Berry Tyranitar > Azelf. With a Chople Berry, Tyranitar can eat a Focus Blast from either Gengar or Alakazam and be able to pick them off with Pursuit. The Pursuit support also helps in chipping away at Heatran and Tornadus-T to help Charizard-X and Serperior respectively fair better against them. This also allows you to pick off both of the Lati twins, as well as provide sand for Excadrill, turning it into a more dangerous revenge killer, and a more reliable spinner. So, with this being said, you should also run Sand Rush > Mold Breaker on Excadrill, and Air Balloon > Choice Scarf. With an Air Balloon, Excadrill can freely chip at Landorus-T with Iron Head for one turn to help put it in range of Flare Blitz from Charizard-X, as well as potentially wall Hippowdon if it doesn't carry Stone Edge or Rock Slide to allow it to break your balloon. Also, with Ice Beam on Tyranitar, it can act as a lure for Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Gliscor to give both your Excadrill and Charizard-X more leeway in breaking through teams.

Next, seeing how offensive your build is, I'm not too sure how useful a max HP SubSeed Serperior will be for you. A team like this seems better focused on putting out as much offensive pressure as possible to end games in a rather timely fashion to make up for its general lack of longevity, and this Serperior set and spread is a bit of a momentum killer, so you should run Dragon Pulse > Substitute, Taunt > Leech Seed, and max special attack on Serperior. Dragon Pulse grants you the ability to break through Dragon types such as the Latis and opposing Charizard-X when at +2, while Taunt allows you to prevent stuff like Unaware Clefable, SpDef Skarmory, and Chansey from recovering or using a status move on you to allow you to beat them 1v1 given the proper circumstances.

Lastly, you should run Jolly Nature > Adamant on Charizard-X since this allows you to outspeed and OHKO Choice Scarf Landorus-T with neutral Flare Blitz if Stealth Rock are up, as well as other Choice Scarf users like Excadrill and Kyurem-Black that outspeed you and can revenge kill you if you're running Adamant. The change in damage output in pretty negligible, while the speed can help guarantee sweeps, so it's a fair tradeoff.
