Dragonite @ Choice Band
Ability: Inner Focus
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Stomping Tantrum
- Iron Head / Aerial Ace
Dragonite flies into Doubles OU! Dragonite's main strength is Tera Normal Extreme Speed paired with Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin, as it can OHKO almost anything that does not resist it. Chien-Pao is Dragonite's main partner, as it can threaten Farigiraf with Throat Chop and remove Psychic Terrain set up by Indeedee while using Chien-Pao's high Speed in tandem with Extreme Speed's priority to attack before almost all of the tier. Outrage is an even stronger option; however, it is inconsistent in which foe it targets and can leave Dragonite vulnerable because it cannot switch. Iron Head is used almost exclusively to OHKO Diancie, an extremely threatening Pokemon against the physically offensive teams that Dragonite fits well onto. Because of Dragonite's high damage output, it wants to be paired with Pokemon that will either allow it to get even more KOs, such as Glimmora and Gouging Fire through entry hazards or Howl, or other offensive Pokemon that can spread damage early-game for Dragonite to clean up or clean up themselves after Dragonite, such as Gholdengo and Landorus.
