Dragonite @ Choice Band
Ability: Inner Focus
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Stomping Tantrum
- Iron Head / Aerial Ace
Dragonite flies into Doubles OU! Dragonite's main strength is Tera Normal Extreme Speed when paired with Chien-Pao, as it can OHKO almost anything that does not resist it. Outrage gives Dragonite an even stronger option, however it is inconsistent in which foe it targets and can leave Dragonite vulnerable while it cannot switch. Stomping Tantrum gives Dragonite an way to threaten the Steel- and Rock-types that resist Extreme Speed, such as Gholdengo and Glimmora. Iron Head is used almost entirely to OHKO Diancie, an extremely threatening Pokemon into the physically offensive teams that Dragonite fits well onto, while Aerial Ace can OHKO the Ogerpon formes and Amoonguss. Because of Dragonite's high damage output, it wants to be paired with Pokemon that will either allow it to take even more KOs, such as Glimmora and Gouging Fire, or other offensive Pokemon that can spread damage in the early game for Dragonite to clean up or clean up after Dragonite has done its damage, such as Gholdengo and Landorus.
