Dragons and Ghosts and Tanks, Oh My!

Sorry about the name, I just used it so people would see this (hopefully). This team is heavily offensive and has two dragons, two ghosts, and two tanks. This team is really fun to use! (They are all female because of attract Jolteon)

So here is my team at a glance.

Salamence64 (Salamence) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk/252 Spd/26 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
---
As a lead, she does better. She can kill most leads and while doing so, set up. These are common leads that I encounter and how I kill 'em.

Green= Not a problem
Orange= Annoying....
Red= Major threat

Aerodactyl: I would've made this one green, but it's annoying when it taunts my DDance. Just Outrage it.
Ambipom: Switch to Mismagius (My back-up lead).
Azelf: Azelf is normally a SUICIDE LEAD, so its main purpose is to die with me with explosion. I just have to switch to Mismagius.
Crobat: Outrage.
Dragonite: Again, Outrage
Electrode: Dragon Dance set up! This lead it good, actually (unless it explodes)
Forretress: Obviously Fire Blast
Froslass: Ugh...it can fire off ice beam and break my focus sash, and it has destiny bond to finish me off. Spikes aren't very bad on my team, but they can still be annoying.
Hippowdon: This one is also good to set up on, I just need to watch out for the rare Stone Edge or Ice Fang.
Infernape: I just switch to Mismagius.
Machamp: Anti-Lead Machamp is my worst nightmare...I'd have to switch to Magnezone and pray that it's choiced (which it isn't). Mismagius is my best counter which Payback is deadly to.
Metagross: Dragon Dance once, then EQ. If it tries to skip SR and just kill Salamence, Slaking can finish the job.
Ninjask: Dragon Dance until they stop stalling and use Swords Dance, and while they do that scare them with Fire Blast.
Roserade: Switch to Magnezone for the sleep, go back to Salamence and kill their team after some DDances.
Salamence: Oh, god, I can only hope they don't use it. Whichever one dies first changes the whole battle.
Skarmory: Skarmory has never stayed in two turns with Salamence, so I can just DDance while they switch.
Smeargle: See Roserade
Swampert: Ice Beams....and it dosen't die from boosted EQ's....
Tyranitar: Earthquake, repeat.

Mismagius64 (Mismagius) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
---
This is my back-up lead. Strange? Well, it takes care of Fake-Out users and is also a great sweeper and cleaner. I've wiped out 3 Pokemon on someone's team in a row with this. With Nasty Plot, hardly anything survives two hits.

462Magnezone.png

Magnezone64 (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 HP/216 Spd/42 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
---
I hate steels, but using a steel is the only way to kill 'em. This is my first tank and works well. Scizor and Forretress are OHKO'd by Hidden Power and so are many other steels. Substitute on switches. Kill Gyarados with TBolt of course, and many other threats to this team are killed by Magnezone.

slaking.png

Slaking64 (Slaking) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Truant
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Pursuit
- Return
---
This one is VERY powerful. Anything I can't kill is taken care of by this. With the scarf, hardly anything can last long with this. Latias is gone by Pursuit, other dragons get Ice Punch, Return finishes everything else (other than steels which are killed by earthquake). A major problem is Weezing who can wall it and then burn it.

Gengar_devours_Pikachu____XD_by_Da_Phase_Meister.jpg

Gengar64 (Gengar) (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
---
"No Focus Blast?", yeah, no Focus Blast. 70% accuracy is terrible, so to get over that is use HP. Specs make this thing at 538 Sp.attack, something much stronger than Deoxys in attack form (or over 4 max Sp.A Shuckles). How can I not use it? There isn't much to say here, other than it's almost 50% of the time the MVP.

kingdra.jpg

Kingdra64 (Kingdra) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Rain Dance
- Surf
---
My last pokemon to even out my weakness/resistance chart (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/team_builder). I am very happy with the results of my resistances and few weaknesses. But Kingdra does great with rain dance teams outspeeding most swift swimmers. For sandstorm, hail, or sun, I can mess up their team with rain dance and support myself while doing so.

So that is my team, please don't try giving TOO many Pokemon suggestions. Those are annoying and usually I skip them. 0-3 is okay.

(P.S, I just got Heartgold today, is there a way to get Larvitar before the Elite Four?)

First of all, you only have 1 pokemon benefiting from Rain Dance and that's Kingdra. I suggest having Thunder on Gengar rather than Thunderbolt, assuming you go to Gengar AFTER you set up rain. Higher base power and 30% Paralyzing is to good to pass up with Rain Dance up.

Also, I suggest having a better "Steel-attractor" so you can trap with Magnezone more efficiently. Speaking of Magnezone, I suggest Charge Beam over Thunderbolt, the +Special Attack boost is going to be really helpful for Magnezone when he tears through steels. The plan, generally, is to Sub up on a Choiced pokemon and Charge Beam, hoping for the boost, and Subbing when needed.

As for Larvitar, yes you can. You can get him at the Safari Zone in Mountain territory at Morning and Day Time. Pre-Elite Four.
