Drizzle team (~200 on PO)

Sup smogon, just came for some criticism on my drizzle team. I managed to peak at around 200 on the server, but I've hit a wall trying to go above that.

Politoed (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Toxic
- Protect
- Encore

He's here for drizzle. Aside from the lucky burn/encore, he hasn't been a huge asset to the team. The bulk is nice because he can switch in on other weather pokes pretty easily, but any suggestions on how I could make him more useful would be nice.

Toxicroak (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Ice Punch

I like this guy. Dry skin outheals life orb damage and tyranitar wouldn't dare switch into him. If I can get a sub up, focus punch + sucker punch is almost guaranteed to take something out.

Thundurus (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Standard thundurus rain abuse. Very strong - not really considering changing him unless it's to a nasty plot variant.

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Def / 200 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Protect

SR user and mixed wall. I want to turn him into a physical wall to take EQs better, but I need some sdef on him as it is my only electric resist. Gyro ball over power whip for better bp and coverage, leech seed + protect for heals and stall.

Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 176 SDef / 16 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Sludge Bomb

Rapid spinner and special wall. Considering getting rid of him because of how useless toxic spikes have proven to be, but I have 2 flying types so I still want to have a rapid spinner.

Gyarados (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce
- Taunt

Rain sweeper. After a DD there isn't much that can take a waterfall in the rain from this guy, and taunt prevents walls from doing anything funky.

As you might have been able to tell, I have an annoying electric weakness, and I need a ground type to fix it. I'm thinking swampert (phazing and rain boost), excadrill (because he also has rapid spin), or garchomp (it's garchomp). I'm not sure which one I want to use or who I want to replace though - any suggestions?

3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

Your descriptions are lacking, which means you are violating the above quoted RMT rule. If you wish to remedy this problem, explain your reasoning behind each Pokemon and why they work on your team more thoroughly. Try to aim for 3-4 sentences with your descriptions. I recommend lurking through the RMT Archive in order to see examples of what we're looking for in an RMT! If you fix this problem, private message indicating that you have done so. Once you've done that, I will unlock your thread.
