Dual Core, Dual Jaws

Hey all. This is a Team I've come up with, and its been testing alright, but needs some improvements to move it from alright, to great, which I know it can be. It combines the Volt-Turn core with the Mega-Mawile-Dragonite core. Like I said, it works pretty well, but one of my biggest threats I've found has to be Rotom-W. Pretty much completely stalls my team. So, if you have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this team and bring it to greatest, well I'm all ears.

The Team:

The Volt-Turn Core:

Jolteon Life Orb

Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 Def
Nature: Timid

Attacks:
Volt Switch
Thunderbolt
Signal Beam
Hidden Power Ice

Overview:
The Volt Switcher of the Team, Jolteon is one of the best for its blistering speed and Special Attack. Life Orb may seem like a weird choice for a Volt Switcher, but this ensures that Jolteon can still hit hard while not being locked into a single attack, should I have the need for him to do anything but switch out. Jolteon's moveset takes full advantage of his speed and power, Thunderbolt being his hard-hitting STAB move, while Signal Beam provides nice coverage against Dark and Psychic types. HA Ice is to take down threats such as Landorus, Thundorus, and Garchomp.

Scizor Choice Band

Ability: Technician
Evs: 252 Atk/248 Hp/8SpD
Nature: Adament

Attacks:
U-Turn
Bullet Punch
Superpower
Defog

Overview:
The U-Tuner of the core. Now, some of you may say that Scizor is a inferior U-Turner to Genesect. And you'd probably be right. However, I don't like using Legendaries for two reasons: 1, they are too hard to obtain with usuable IVs and Natures. 2: I can't help but feel proud whenever a team of mine takes down another Team that has like three legendaries while I use none. Just my thing. Now, back to Scizor. I am kind of iffy about Scizor as my U-Turner. While providing a nice STAB U-Turn, I just find he is too slow to successfully pull this off without getting crippled by Will-O-Wisp, or left with almost no health thanks to a faster Pokemon. However, Scizor is not without his pluses. STAB Technician Bullet Punch is always nice, especially with Fairy Pokemon abundant in the Meta, Superpower is a great physical attack that provides nice coverage, and with the buff to Defog this gen, if gives Scizor another useful edge he didn't have before.

The Steel/Dragon Core:

Dragonite_Normal_Version_by_Xous54.png

Dragonite WeaKness Policy

Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 Hp/252 Atk/252 Spe
Nature: Jolly

Attacks:
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Fire Punch
Extreme Speed

Overview:
This gen, Dragonite got a new toy to play with in the form of Weakness Policy, which raises its Atk and SpA when it gets hit by a super effective move. In other words, with a Dragon Dance set up, you won't want to face this thing. A great switch in for Mega Mawile, Dragonite is immune to the Earthquakes that terrify it, and resist everything else, and Vice Versa. In other words, Dragonite's job is to take care of everything that could threaten Mega Mawile. Dragon Claw is the STAB move here, hitting really hard once you get set up, while Fire Punch incinerates (Get it?) Steel types that would prove a problem for Mawile. Extreme Speed is for that priority hit to finish something off. I run Jolly over Adamant because you want to get that Dragon Dance off as soon as possible, and with it up, plus a possible Weakness Policy boost, there is no need to have Adamant.

Mawile @Mawilite

Ability: Intimidate ---> Huge Power
EVs: 252 Hp/252 Atk/4 SpD
Nature: Adamant

Attacks:
Sucker Punch
Play Rough
Iron Head
Fire Fang

Overview:
Ah Mawile. Such a horrible Pokemon you used to be. Put with Gen 6 came two good things for you: A part Fairy Typing, AND a Mega Evolution. And what a Mega Evolution. With access to Huge Power, Mawile's attack are ridiculously powerful. Priority with Sucker Punch decimates most Pokemon that don't resist it, Play Rough for Massive STAB, Iron Head for opposing Fairy Types, and of course, a powerful Fire Fang for coverage against other Steel types, as well as much more. The Drawback for M-Mawile however, is its speed. This thing is slow. Really slow. So it is very important that I am packing Sucker Punch, and that Dragonite takes out anything that may be a threat to it.

Other Support:

Goodra @Assault Vest

Ability: Gooey
EVs: 252 Hp/252 Spa/4 SpD
Nature: Calm

Attacks:
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Sludge Bomb
Thunderbolt

Overview:
Every team I create now pretty much has Goodra on it. Why? Goodra is a massive Special Tank. Assault Vest combined with its already high Special Bulk, Goodra can switch into any Special threat, soak up a hit, and hit back just as hard with any of its many coverage attacks. Fire Blast fries Genesect and Ferrothorn in a single hit, Sludge Bomb laughs at most Fairys in the face, Thunderbolt makes fish fries out of most water types, and Draco Meteor is the power STAB. And if anyone faces off against Goodra physically, such as Mega-Lucario or the sort, they get their speed lowered by Gooey. In my past experiences, Goodra is a reliable wall that will always have a spot on my teams.

Sableye Leftovers

Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Hp/4 Def/252 SpD
Nature: Careful

Moves:
Taunt
Will-O-Wisp
Recover
Knock Off

Overview:
One of the best Pranksters out there, Sableye came into my life after some experimenting. And boy did I underestimate this guy. Surprisingly bulky, I have had people quit just because of this guy alone. Priority Taunt hurts a lot of of setters, followed up a crippling Will-O-Wisp, a Recover if needed, and then knock off whatever item they have. It can trollish and annoying and I love it. He can also helps when it comes to switching into M-Mawile, since its biggest threat is an opponent's Will-O-Wisp.
