Hey guys, I'm TheMegaStoner. I used to play online back in DPPt and decided to play again in ORAS. I really like Ubers cuz I feel the centralized metagame makes it easier to get into and play.
Anyway, here's my team:
I got to 1620ish with these pokes :)
MegaSmeargle (Darkrai) @ Life Orb
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Void
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Thunderbolt
Not actually my lead. Thus Life Orb. I put Darkrai in the first position to discourage Groudon leads. It puts lots of pressure using Dark Void, especially against defoggers trying to get rid of Klefki's screens. Also resists Foul Play/Dark Pulse and finds set up opportunities switching in to
While I might miss KOs with Tbolt, Thunder only hits twice in a row 49% of the time which is pretty scary.. Aside from that, this beast's pretty standard.
MegaUnown (Klefki) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Foul Play
Klefki makes almost anything a set up fodder using Reflect and Light Screen. Twave + Foul Play also gives it a fighting chance against set up sweepers, notably putting Double Dance Groudon in priority range. Other targets include Gengar, Mewtwo-Y, Kangaskan, and even some Arceus. Klefki is sadly my only draco meteor switch in, flying resist, rock resist, etc. I kinda need some suggestions to solve that, especially since it's sometimes necessary to sac Klefki for a sweep.
MegaAltaria-Z (Salamence-Mega) @ Salamencite
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 80 Def / 176 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Refresh
- Return
- Fire Blast
Intimidate pivot, wallbreaker, and possible wincon. After a Groudon KOs Klefki, I usually send out Mence to deal some damage or set up if i'm sure it's not a phazing Groudon. This thing can take stone edges assuming the screens are up. Fire Blast because none of my other pokemon has fire moves for Skarmory or something. Refresh helps out with T-wave, and I thought it might be more useful than roost because of the screens. What do you guys think?
PrimalCamerupt (Groudon) @ Red Orb
Ability: Drought
EVs: 168 HP / 206 Atk / 44 SpD / 90 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Precipice Blades
- Dragon Claw
- Rock Tomb
Mence can't handle Zekrom, Ttar, Xerneas before DDing, and a bunch of other pokes so Groudon's here to the rescue. I don't have another SR setter so Groudon is doing that. I would really appreciate room for some other move though. Rock Tomb + Dragon Claw nails a bunch of dragon switch ins. Groudon is also my answer for Kyogre and Ho-oh that switch into Darkrai or Klefki. I hope to outspeed Kyogre all the time to get some damage in with the speed EVs.
OriginWurmple (Giratina-Origin) @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 242 Def / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Defog
- Shadow Sneak
- Shadow Force
- Dragon Tail
Eases Salamence's duty as a pivot. Also my main switch in to normal/fighting moves. This thing's certainly the weakest link in the team but it has some utility and offensive presence. Shadow Sneak snipes weakened things. Shadow Force hits hard once its resists are gone. Not much else to say about this thing. Maybe I should replace it with some steel pokemon to help against Xerneas and Salamance? I need some suggestions. I used to experiment with pairings like Aegislash + Yveltal and Xerneas + Bronzong instead of Giratina and Darkrai, but Darkrai proved to be a great fit to deal with defog.
MegaLinoone (Arceus) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 196 HP / 252 Atk / 60 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Shadow Claw
- Magic Coat!!!!!
My lead along with Klefki :) It's a homemade set. Magic Coat lets it beat unsuspeciting lugia. Also bounces taunt, whirlwind, dark void, will-o-wisp, toxic. Lum berry buys Arceus more time setting up after bouncing a status move. The bulky spread, aside from helping out with Lugia and such, also works well with the screens up. Arceus and Salamence weaken each others checks and grinds out wins when I get to set up and gain initiative.
Here's my team once again:
