Boasting a high speed and good bulk, Zamazenta functions as the tiers premier Dual Screens setter. Roar allows Zamazenta to phase out setup sweepers such as Volcarona, Dragonite and Iron Defence + Body Press Zamazenta, all of who could otherwise use Zamazenta as setup fodder while also preventing hazard setters such as Garchomp from getting up multiple layers of Spikes. Body Press is the STAB move of choice in order to abuse Zamazentas high naturally defence without any drawbacks, although its power decreases considerably after Zamazenta switches out the first time. Light Clay is the item of choice to maximise the length of Reflect and Light Screen so Zamazenta needs to reset them less often.
Dual Screens Zamazenta fits exclusively on hyper offensive structures where its ability to reliably set screens enables a plethora of teammates to setup more easily. Setup sweepers such as Volcarona, Dragonite and Ogerpon Wellspring all appreciate Zamazentas Screens letting them setup a lot safer. Zamazenta also has no way of denying hazards from being set against foes such as Gliscor, Landorus-T and Garchomp, meaning Rapid Spin users such as Terapagos and Great Tusk are excellent partners, as well as Hatterene which can not only prevent hazards from being set, but also deny Defog from Corviknight, Moltres and Zapdos from removing Zamazentas Screens. All of the aforementioned Pokemon also double up as sweepers, all benefitting from the enhanced bulk Zamazenta's screens provide to let them set up more reliably in the face of threats such as Mega Diancie and Melmetal . Zamazenta finds itself vulnerable to foes such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Booster Speed Iron Valiant, meaning a Fairy- and Psychic-type resist such as Gholdengo is appreciated. Gholdengo also gives another way of preventing Defog in the form of its ability Good as Gold.
