Dudunsparce sweep strat! (DOU)
Pokepaste for this team (explanations below)
Team!
Dudunsparce @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Rattled
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Def / 232 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Stored Power
- Boomburst
This is gonna be one of the first pokemon you send out, alongside Maushold. You'll want to tera psychic turn 1 and expanding force whatever pokemon seems more threatening. I'll get more into why when i get to Maushold, but you'll want to use Beat Up on Maushold targetting Dudunsparce to activate its Weakness Policy, and its ability Rattled. Then just use Boomburst or Stored Power. If Dudunsparce is about to die, you can always baton pass so another pokemon like Gholdengo to pass along the stat buffs.
Maushold @ Quick Claw
Ability: Friend Guard
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Beat Up
- Follow Me
- Protect
-Fake Tears
This is the second pokemon you'll send out on turn 1 alongside Dudunsparce. Maushold's main purpose is to boost Dudunsparce while also supporting with Fake Tears and Follow Me. On turn 1 you'll wanna use Beat Up on Tera Psychic Dudunsparce so it can get all of the stat boosts it needs to be really strong. After you give Dudunsparce the stat boosts from Weakness Policy and Rattled, you'll just wanna keep using Follow Me to protect whatever attacker is on the field with Maushold and Fake Tears to lower opposing pokemon's stats.
Gholdengo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Trick
In this strategy, Gholdengo is mostly a special attacker. With Dazzling Gleam it can hit both opponents with good damage, Shadow Ball is good special STAB damage and Make It Rain is a really strong move at the cost of lowering your SpA. Trick is mostly there for if the opponent has a life orb or a potential good item that gholdengo wants you can swap Choice Specs with them but it is situational. You can switch trick for something else.
Flamigo @ Life Orb
Ability: Costar
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- Roost
- Liquidation
Flamigo is mostly a pokemon for switching in for Maushold after it has boosted Dudunsparce. Because of its ability costar it will copy the stat changes of the ally pokemon which in this case is Dudunsparce. With Brave Bird and Roost it can easy do a ton of damage and heal from the recoil. Because of the copied stat changes from Dudunsparce you can also use Close Combat a few times for a ton of damage. Liquidation is also there if you want a high damaging attack with no drawbacks like Close Combat's Defense/Special Defense lowering or Brave Bird's recoil.
Amoonguss @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clear Smog
- Spore
- Rage Powder
- Pollen Puff
Amoonguss is all support with Clear Smog resetting stat changes (only use on teammate if resist poison) Spore for making opposing pokemon fall asleep, Rage Powder if there is an offensive pokemon with Amoonguss and you need to keep them alive, and Pollen Puff for healing teammates. Overall just heals itself a lot and inflicts a lot of status conditions.
Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 126 Atk / 130 Def
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Knock Off
- Fire Punch
- Protect
Tyranitar is a heavy offensive pokemon, you wanna save it as long as possible unless you need an offensive pokemon. Rock Slide
for multi-hit STAB, Knock Off for STAB plus item removal, Fire Punch for coverage against it and Protect for stalling. Tyranitar
can hit really hard with rock slide and Knock Off because of STAB, the EVs and its a pseudo legendary.
Thank you for reading! This was one of my first teams i made so i dont expect it to be too good, but i would love to hear some feedback in the comments!
