Stats: 100 HP / 70 Atk / 70 Def / 65 SpA / 65 SpD / 45 Spe
Dunsparce is just one of those Pokemon that doesn't look too good on paper. While its base 100 HP is nice, its defenses are rather low and it lacks power or speed. However, Serene Grace gives Dunsparce a niche of its own. So what is Dunsparce? Nobody knows…oh wait, right. It's a paraflincher. With the combination of paralysis and a Serene Grace boost on the flinch ratio of its moves, Dunsparce can cause endless fun (for you) and torture (for your opponent) by shutting down its opponent's moves. It even got a new toy in Coil during the introduction of 5th Gen! Combine that with recovery in Roost and you have one annoying Pokemon.

Pretty much the standard on-site set, and the one set that Dunsparce should be running. The little snake…thing has plenty of methods of paralysis. Thunder Wave is the most basic and reliable method, while Glare allows Dusparce to paralyze Ground types, and the accuracy drop can be fixed by Coil. Body Slam is less reliable, only inflicting paralysis 60% of the time, but it does a little damage with each hit and is not shut down by Taunt. Rock Slide will give Dunsparce a 60% chance to flinch anything it hits, which can compile with paralysis to eliminate the opponent's chances of doing anything. Headbutt may do nothing to Ghosts, but it has a bit more power due to STAB. With Coil, Dunsparce can both dish out and take physical hits much more easily, and Roost keeps our little friend alive a lot longer. The EVs here are tailored to maximize power and even out defenses, although you could adjust them to maximize special bulk (after maximizing power) since your physical bulk is already boosted by Coil.
Dunsparce may not be the most fierce sweeper or the sturdiest wall, but its talents as a paraflincher do give it something to be proud of, an NU Jirachi/Togekiss of sorts.
