Due to its boosting options in Acid Armor and Calm Mind, its ability Magic Guard, and access to Recover, Duosion is a great defensive sweeper. These attributes make Toxic users and non-setup attackers like Clefairy, Piloswine, and Raboot unable to break boosted Duosion, while it breaks walls like Galarian Corsola, Klang, and Ferroseed after enough setup to make Stored Power a nuke. Unfortunately, Duosion's only coverage here is Psychic-typed, meaning any Dark-type like Vullaby and Galarian Linoone completely walls it. Psyshock over Stored Power is an option to threaten certain targets like Mareanie and Piloswine with less setup required, and also beats opposing Duosion that lack it, but has notably less potential power-wise.

As a win condition, Duosion should only be sent out to set up late-game when its checks are eliminated. Dark-types like Galarian Linoone, Vullaby, and Morgrem pose as counters due to their Psychic-type immunity, and should be dispatched by offensive attackers like Raboot and Thwackey. Alternatively, Duosion stalls out weaker Dark-types with the support of Toxic and Toxic Spikes teammates like Mareanie and Roselia. Wallbreakers and offensive setup sweepers such as Lampent, Pikachu, and Thwackey have en edge by breaking or out-boosting Duosion. Support from defensive teammates such as Piloswine, Palpitoad, and Tangela is appreciated for checking these threats, and they appreciate Duosion dealing with Koffing and Gloom. Duosion’s setup attempts are stopped by faster Taunt and Encore users such as Galarian Linoone, Vullaby, and Kadabra; use these occurrences as an opportunity to safely bring in offensive teammates like Machoke, Pikachu, and Lampent.

Duosion is the NFE metagame's premier defensive win condition try to avoid absolutes - meta can change quickly and saying something is "the premier" or "the best" is a real pain to cms edit later. that aside, it's not even true really, mons like klang and thwackey tend to be more reliable even if you restrict yourself to set-up sweepers. saying it's a great win condition is enough here. due to its boosting options in Acid Armor and Calm Mind, its ability Magic Guard, and access to Recover. These attributes make Toxic users and non-setup attackers like Clefairy, Piloswine, and Machoke unable to break boosted Duosion, while it breaks walls like Galarian Corsola and Ferroseed after enough setup to make Stored Power a nuke. This is of course at the downside that Duosion's only coverage is Psychic-typed, meaning any Dark-type like Vullaby and Galarian Linoone completely walls it. Psyshock over Stored Power offers coverage it's not coverage, it's just an alternative STAB option to threaten specially defensive walls like Roselia and Mareanie immediately without setup you're right about not needing set-up, but psyshock is better than psychic because you need less boosts to take out piloswine, klang etc., mons like roselia are irrelevant, but has notably less potential power wise.

Alternatively, Duosion stalls out weaker Dark-types from *with the support of Toxic and Toxic Spikes teammates like Mareanie and Roselia. Wallbreakers and offensive setup sweepers like Pikachu, Lampent, and Wartortle wartortle can't really do this. thwackey? have en edge by breaking or out-boosting Duosion. Support from defensive teammates such as Piloswine and Palpitoad if you go with thwackey, tangela probably fits better here (swap pika & lamp though) is appreciated for checking these threats, and they appreciate Duosion dealing with Koffing and Gloom. The opponent might be forced to bring out the likes of Encore Kadabra and Machoke i know you don't want to repeat mentions, but these aren't the most relevant forms of duosion counterplay. i'd circle back to dark-types here and point out how you can use machoke/klang/pika to take advantage of linoone/vullaby switchins as a means to punish Duosion's setup attempts; use this as an opportunity to bring in offensive teammates like Pikachu and Lampent safely.

Due to its boosting options in Acid Armor and Calm Mind, its ability Magic Guard, and access to Recover, Duosion is a great defensive sweeper. These attributes make Toxic users and non-setup attackers like Clefairy, Piloswine, and Machoke (encore has been a popular method in stopping duosions so i'd replace this with another wallbreaker like Raboot) unable to break boosted Duosion, while it breaks walls like Galarian Corsola, Klang and Ferroseed after enough setup to make Stored Power a nuke. This is of course at the downside that Duosion's only coverage is Psychic-typed, meaning any Dark-type like Vullaby and Galarian Linoone completely walls it. Psyshock over Stored Power is an option to threaten some targets like Klang (would change klang here since if you're psyshock u don't actually take more damage than w stored power which can result in a shift gear crit war, Mareanie would be a better example as well) and Piloswine with less setup required, but has notably less potential power wise. (would make a note that it also helps against other duosions)

Wallbreakers and offensive setup sweepers likw like Lampent, Pikachu, and Thwackey have en edge by breaking or out-boosting Duosion.
