ORAS OU Dusty Mega Altaria Hyper Offense

Hello there frens, this is Wond3rbread with some mega altaria hyper offense. I was using this to get reqs for a good portion of time, then switched to mega venu semistall(maybe I'll RMT that at a different time lol) I basically thought wynaut pair sand and mega alt because it sounded good in my head.

bisharp was looking like a threat since it could potentially just spam sucker as well as being another ferro check and a reliable heatran check

tyranitar.gif

Bill Cosby (Tyranitar) @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 40 Atk / 216 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam

I decided to put Tyranitar on this team because it could lure ferrothorn and landorus-therian and blow them back with fire blast and ice beam respectively. I originally had sash on this ttar, but I ended up going with smooth rock to preserve sand stream. Max Speed allows me to speedcreep defensive Landorus-therian, adamant scizor, and adamant bisharp respectively. Crunch is a stab move that can get good chip damage on pokemon like slowbro, Raikou, and mega manectric. Stealth Rocks are nice to have to wear down pokemon like thundurus, talonflame, and mega pinsir.

excadrill.gif

Bernie Mac (Excadrill) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Excadrill is my sand abuser. Under sand, it is able to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame, making it handy to breaking offense. Earthquake is excadrill's strongest ground stab, 2hkoing pokemon like keldeo, azumarill, as well as outright OHKOing pokemon like charizard-x, heatran, and magnezone. Rock Slide lets me hit flying types who are immune to earthquake for super-effective damage, as well as getting off nuetral damage vs most levitators. Iron Head is steel stab, allowing me to break faries such as clefable with ease. Rapid Spin gives me hazard control for thundurus and altaria. Air Balloon allows me to check other sand rush excadrills and come in vs lando-t's earthquake. Adamant gives exca as much attack as possible while not losing any defenses.

altaria-mega.gif

Richard Priar (Altaria) @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure
Happiness: 0
EVs: 64 HP / 192 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Roost

Altaria in my opinion has the best typing in the game, having good synergy well with Excadrill and Tyranitar. It gives this team a grass resist, a water resist, a fighting resist, a dragon immunity, as well as a secondary sweeper along with excadrill. Dragon Dance allows me to boost my attack and speed. Frustration is the obligatory fairy stab, as well as not giving ditto much power(though to be fair ditto is rare as hell). Earthquake lets me hit fire, steel, and poison types, all who resist fairy. Roost allows my altaria to recover and keep it decently healthy. Jolly Altaria outspeeds Lopunny at +1, which is a threat to this team.

thundurus.gif

Chris Rock (Thundurus) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave

Thundurus is a strong special attacker, which this team was lacking severely. It allows me to actually do something vs mega slowbro with thunderbolt, a strong and consistent electric stab. Focus Blast allows me to hit Heatran, Ferrothorn, Magnezone, and Tyranitar for super effective damage. Hidden Power Ice hits Garchomp, Latios/Latias, Gliscor, and Landorus-i/Landorus-Therian for super effective damage. Thunder Wave allows me to cripple sweepers such as charizard x, mega altaria, and mega gyarados. Timid allows you to outspeed all base 110s(bar choice scarf users).

keldeo-resolute.gif

Dave Chapelle @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Hydro Pump

Keldeo gives me a decent bisharp check, mega gyara check, as well as an overall hard hitting mon. Since I didn't see the need to run substitute calm mind or scarf, I just said specs, which allows keldeo to hit like a truck. Secret Sword is keldeo's best special stab move, doing good damage to ferrothorn(OHKOing most variants). Scald is spammable because of 30% burn chance, and Hydro Pump provides the extra power that scald can't always provide. Hidden Power electric lures in Azumarill and 2hko's it(bar assvest, but no1 runs that anymore). Timid gives keldeo as much speed as possible.

gothitelle.gif

Kevin Hart (Gothitelle) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Trick
- Calm Mind
- Rest

Gothitelle. Hate to face it, but love to use it. STAG is incredibly useful at trapping and crippling pokemon like clefable, chansey, and slowbro. Rest allows me to PP Stall out the pokemon I trap and get rid of status. Calm Mind is useful vs slower teams, were goth can set up on a pokemon and then proceed to outright sweep the rest of the team. Trick allows me to cripple the pokemon and lock then into 1 move. Psyshock lets me break chansey easier. Gothitelle also traps and weakens mega venusaur. 80HP Ev's allow me to live 3 seismic tosses from chansey, so I can successfully pp stall it. 252Spa allows me to do as much damage to venusuar as possible. 176 Speed Ev's allows me to outspeed 110s such as Latios and Gengar.

THREAT LIST
azumarill.gif

This mon clicks play rough and gets a kill vs my team. I normally have to sack something and then revenge too kill this savage

breloom.gif

Breloom is annoying since it either KOs or spores my team. Once its sash is broken its not too bad but with a sash its just hell

venusaur-mega.gif

iff goth is gone this just hardwallls my team lol
Shoutout to Invok3r for convincing me to do an RMT

Mah nigga wonder postin a team. Let me rate this chill team. The best change that I kind find to help with your threats, is to run either amoonguss over thundy. Amoonguss just shits on your 2 biggest threats azumarill and breloom. as it just fits better for the team, but changes the team to a more offense team, instead of hyper offense. However it will make your team a whole lot better. Amoonguss also has spore which is nice to force switches and just be annoying. The best thing about amoonguss on this team, is that you actually have a decent fairy switch in. Looking at your team, your only fairy switch in excadrill, but most fairy types carry some way to hit steels anyway. That is why amoonguss is very nice. Your team also lacks a keldeo switch in besides alt, but because you do not run heal bell you don't want to get burn by scald. Amoonguss offers you a nice switch in, that doesnt care unless keld goes for cm. Ttar looks nice on this team, but I recommend running more of a support spread. Your team is pretty weak to tflame without thundy, and latios is also a threat. A support set can take hits easier, and take hits from latios easier. I also recommend running pursuit over ice beam, because your team really lacks a good latios switch in. The spread on mega alt is 2hkod by psyshock, and you can't trap it with ttar without pursuit. Pursuit offers a lot more utility, and I really don't see how ice beam helps you accept against lando-t. However it is pretty risky to try and predict the u-turn or rocks. I also think you should run stone edge over fire blast, because spdef tflame is a huge threat to your team. It can set up on ttar and mega alt (if it has wisp or taunts you).

248.gif

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Pursuit / Ice Beam
- Stone Edge

591.gif

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Foul Play
- Clear Smog

I hope I helped fren :]
