ORAS OU Easy Life Team

Team Summary and Designing Concept:
  • My Team's first goal is to counter 'everygame-pokes' (Rotom-W, Heatran etc.). My second goal is to deal with stuffs i find annoying. However, the two goals ended up compromising each other to an extent.
  • The team consist of purely special attackers to negate the effect of Will-O-Wisp to a certain degree, and uses SacredSword and Psyshock for attacking in the other spectrum. It has no StealthRock weakness and kinda do ok under StickyWeb. All moves have good accuracy, giving realiability in battle. The team works well against enemies' weather team.

Mega Sceptile, cuz I hate Rotom-W

Sceptile can't do banana against Heatran, so Landorus comes in.

Both Sceptile and Landorus insta-death against Ice, so Keldeo comes to solve that. My attacker-trio are now complete. Time to find a supporting crew

Time to find an efficient fat poke for a switch in. Regenerator Slowbro it is then

Now, I need a revenge guy for when none of the others can take a hit

254.png

Sceptile @ Sceptilite
Ability: Lightning Rod
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leech Seed

My mega. Sceptile makes life easier against Volt Switchers, especially those with choice items. Despite being so frail, it quad-resist Belly-Drummed Aqua Jet. Running Modest is for maximizing LeafStorm nuking power (just because). There is a lot of pokes that can resist and OHKO back though, so tossing leech seeds is quite useful early on instead of doing 5% damage.

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Psychic
- Rock Tomb

My sweeper. Landorus is a very solid Special attacker to cover Sceptile's fairy weakness. It eats fairies for dinner with SludgeWave. Although its offensive power is ground breaking..(._o), the Ground-Poison-Psychic tri moves sometimes cannot reliably hit as they have 0x effectiveness against common typings that can switch into (flying/ levitate/ steel/ dark). Rock Tomb is just for debuffing enemies in those risky situations where wrong its not worth risking.

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Icy Wind
- Sacred Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]

My chipper. Keldeo can take ice hit for Sceptile and Landorus and those two can take grass and electric moves respectively. It cant really kill stuffs but can scare off many. Its job is basically throw out Scald to chip off enemies health or icy wind for support.

Slowbro @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Psyshock

My sponge. This moveset catches a lot of people offguard. Bulky enough for a physical hit switch in, and resist most fighting sweeper who packs fight-ice coverage, and even knock-offs. AssaultVest guarantees Slowbro to see another day when receiving special hit. Oh btw, it beats Latios 1v1.

302.png

Sableeye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Confuse Ray
- Recover
- Knock Off

My main support. Prankster Will-O-Wisp helps a lot against physical sweeper and prankster confuse ray helps with fire-types, power boosters, or to be used as a guaranteed status move. Running maximum SpD and Calm Nature makes Sableeye quite specially defensive, while Will-O-Wisp takes care of its poor defense in this build, making it tough enough to win by WoW-Recover stalling. Knock Off is useful for those taunters and is a decent move in general.

Alakazam @ Focus Sash Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball

My anti-wiping. Alakazam gaurantees to have its sash on tight, and thus its role is to counter kill things that are getting out of hand, stopping the team from being wiped out. It is reserved purely for this situation since it is forced to run Timid (otherwise defeating it kinda sucks), making it not strong enough to OHKO anything (which i doubt Modest will), and will never take more than two hits.

Weakness:
  • LatiAs/ Mega-LatiAs: resist both PsyShock and SacredSword, too bulky for special hits, cannot be OHKO killed by MegaSceptile's DragonPulse, can OHKO MegaSceptile with Draco even at -2
  • High speed Electric Type with HPIce: no reliable switchin and have the potential to wipe half the team
Notes:
Feel free to comment whatever you want, I accept all thank you :)
My Rating is only around 12xx-13xx (never reach beyond that)

Hey friend, im going to get straight to the point, considering I am under the notation that you will hold to your word on "Feel free to comment whatever you want, I accept all thank you". As someone who likes to frequently rate teams I find it near impossible to provide a structured format or form of help that can work for a team that holds no structure, viability and lack of character. Unfortunately your team falls under this category and would need to be provided with unreasonable attention to the point of recreating the team from scratch using only the base core. This is not just unbelievable amounts of work and writing, but also pointless as RMT's are designed for posters to take ideas from others and implement them in their own way, not have someone completely redesign your team for you, as you might as well steal a team off the forums. Im not however just going to tell you this and not recommend any help, cause that would also be redundant! Firstly, im going to suggest you look at other successful teams that have reached high points on the ladder or have done successful in respected tournament matches and analyse not just the Pokemon and the move sets but the synergy of the team as a whole. Secondly, Im going to provide you with a link that will have a description followed by more links that will help you not just with team building but for understanding the meta. Finally, I suggest instead of giving up on the team that you take the information I have provide and work on the team. Once you believe you have reached a satisfactory level with it, update and edit this post with the changes and use your one bump to allow it to be seen. I hope this didn't come off as hurtful, but in order for you to grow as a builder you need to learn through you mistakes and become better! I wish you the best of luck with the team and look forward to rating your post(s) again!
