Easy Team

My goal upon making this team is to create a team that can easily be recreated in game, as I am active in the Wi-Fi battling scene as well. Basically, I wanted to create a quality, competitve team of 6 Pokemon that is easy to breed and raise. That means no dragons(takes too long to breed/raise), legendaries(Resetting is boring) and to an extent, starters/Eeveeloutions(12.5% female chance makes breeding a chore, but I have succesfully breeded a Treecko and Eevee before but it was annoying) and no hidden power(who has time for that?).

It took me about 4 days of ShoddyBattle testing(and lots of losing) before I came up with this team that seems to be good enough

All 6 Pokemon I use are easy to breed and raise because the egg steps are low and no ridiculous amounts of experience is needed to level up to higher levels.

I have used this team on Shoddy Battle to test it out, but before I begin making the team in-game I want to make sure its worth it.

jimmy young (Weavile) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Night Slash
- Taunt

This is my lead, though I find myself really hesitant to use Taunt against Bronzong leads. People wish they wouldn't lead with Gengar or Azelf when I lead with this. In Wi-Fi where Azelf and Deoxys leads are almost non-existant, it makes an even better lead.

billy pizor (Gallade) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Night Slash
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch

Most people I battle don't expect Choice Scarf on Gallade for some reason. This is still a tricky Pokemon to use because of that, sometimes I predict right and wrong. Requires a lot of prediction to use, but is deadly in the right situations.

willie leiss (Milotic) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP/128 Def/128 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Toxic

Some might think its a special wall but its a mixed wall to me. Takes defensive hits better than you would think. Even though there are no Special Attack EVs, it still does the job when it needs to attack. I would say she is the lifeblood of the team, the cornerstone.

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/168 Def/88 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Roost

The one thing standing between the my team getting swept by a SD Lucario. I try to keep him alive because of that. This is why I use Gliscor instead of Dusknoir which I originally tried(Crunch hurts too hard), and I tried Hippowdon for a while for more offensive punch(didnt want to rely on Weavile/Gallade for physical hits only), but I decided to bring back Gliscor and add Swords Dance instead for late game scenarios where I need to hit harder as well as walling Lucario better.

john brown (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 122 HP/136 Def/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flash Cannon
- Magnet Rise
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute

Walled by Blissey/Snorlax, but Substitute and Magnet Rise is never fun to deal with. I have considered replacing Magnet Rise with Explosion, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

curtis clay (Roserade) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 100 HP/42 Def/252 Spd/16 SAtk/100 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Energy Ball

I use him to try and get Blisseys to switch and whoever comes in into a Sleep Powder. Leech Seed annoys Blissey, and Roserade is critical for Swamperts, especially the cursing variety. Surprisingly enough, I caught a Timid Shiny Budew in game with a 30 IV in Special Attack and 22 in Speed, but am unsure if I will use it because its other stats are bad.

That is my team. I occasionally have trouble with Calm Mind/Substitute Jirachis, especially if Weavile is out of the picture. But again, in the Wi-Fi Environment Jirachis are rare. SD Lucario is a pest if Gliscor is dead.

You should go with Explosion>Flash Cannon since steel doesn't hit a lot for SE. On Roserade you may want Grass Knot over Enegy Ball because a lot of OU walls are heavy or take at least nuetral damage. You may want to make Milotic a restalker and move a few of the Defense EVs to SpDef because of Marvel Scale. Plus you have nothing to absorb status or heal it. You may want Toxic Spikes over Leeck Seed on Roserade because it's a pain to Bliss. Other than that good team and good luck

Magnezone could have Metal Sound > Substitute. That would give it an edge against other Magnezone and Jirachi, as well as providing some alternative solutions against Cresselia CMers if you happen to see one.

Don't know how good Milotic is at taking hits from Mamoswine, Infernape, and Tyraniboah, but you want to be wary of them.

Also, I also agree with Toxic Spikes over Leech Seed, because it'll hurt just more than Blissey. Toxic on Milotic wouldn't be so necessary then, and it could be replaced for Confuse Ray, Light Screen, Mirror Coat, or HP Ele. Sleep Talk may be the best choice to absorb sleep without being disabled.

It's a pretty nice team, considering how you limited yourself to fast-growing monsters. It should be able to fend off common threats well.

The only thing that I think would be difficult to deal with are Zapdos, since your core-defensive pokemon really can't do much to it. The best choice would be your Magnezone or putting the bird to sleep with your Roselia. Stealth Rock on Gliscor can ease this problem a little, but then it'll lose its sweeping capabilities.

Another problematic pokemon is Breloom, since it's 394 Atk STAB Seed Bomb hurts Gliscor, and prevents it from Roosting.

I really haven't had much problem with Brelooms at all, but since you mention Zapdos I have had a bit of trouble with it.

I'll go ahead and make Milotic a Rest Talker so it can take a Hypnosis, and find something to replace Flash Cannon on Magnezone.

Rest Talk is good, but I prefer Sleep Talk and Recover; even when Milotic is put to sleep, it has a means of recovering its health. With Rest Talk, it provides a reliable mean to get rid of Toxic or Paralysis, but once it's asleep or is hit by Hypnosis / Spore, it has no means of recovery, with 33% chance of doing nothing. Your Roselia sucks up Toxic Spikes, so Toxic Psn shouldn't afflict Milotic as often.

I also don't see why you see the need to remove Flash Cannon. It's not the best coverage, but unless you're using Hidden Power, it does allow Magnezone to hit the majority of Grounds and all Grasses hard with its STAB move.

For the Roserade, you want to go with Substitute if you are using Leech Seed, I would say. I would also put Toxic Spikes on that thing.

I know it's in-game, but maybe Hypnosis over Toxic on Milotic? I find that to be really effective.

Pretty solid team though, especially for Wi-Fi. Not many weaknesses. Mind checking out the team in my sig?
