Eat Lightning

Hello all. Since the Smogon Server is down and the beta server's meta is confusing as all get out, I figured I would try good ole Ubers.

First, I needed a theme of sorts. I decided to go with weather. Seeing as water has always been my thing, I decided to go with rain.

The original rain maker himself, Kyogre.

Next I needed something to set up hazards. Looking through the Uber topic, I noticed someone liked one of my new favorite pokemon. Its DW ability combined with Rain makes it fun.

Tentacruel makes for a good person to set up and spin away hazards.

Next I wanted a hard hitting Pokemon that could deal with some special hits. Again I looked towards the Uber topic and found this guy.

Scizor hits hard with Technician and with a boost or two, it hurts even more.

I then wanted something that could possibly be a physical sweeper. I knew I wanted a dragon and something that could take advantage of rain. Kingdra was bleh and so I discovered this little gem.

Zekrom baby. The mascot for White, can take care of business.

I wanted a mixed attacker to even things out. So I looked for another dragon. I wanted something that could take the glaring ground weakness I had with Scizor, Cruel and Zekrom.

Giratina-O. Levitate and a nice typing makes it a go to mon.

Lastly, I wanted something that could force a switch and spread status if I needed it to.

Darkrai is here and with its blistering speed, it will make people pay.

SETS

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Kyogre @ Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
- Surf

SpecsOgre is one of the most feared Pokemon in Ubers because of its power. Blissey better not switch into a full HP or it gets screwed. 2HKOing the best special wall in the game? Yes please!!!

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Tentacruel (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Confuse Ray
- Rapid Spin

This is what I call a pseudo StallRein. A utility Pokemon with a bad case of OH YEAH!!! The normal set.

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost

SDRooster. This thing if you notice is specially defensive which is nice. SD once or twice and then attack.

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Zekrom @ Choice Band
Trait: Teravolt
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 52 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Bolt Strike
- Stone Edge
- Crunch

Choice Band Zekrom. Bolt Strike goes through anything minus Ground Types, Outrage hurts, Stone Edge is for coverage and Crunch is for any Psychics.

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Giratina-O @ Griseous Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Sneak
- Outrage
- Thunder

Remember those ground types? Giratina can get the free switch and attack at will. Shadow Sneak and Outrage are for STAB, Aura Sphere is for any Ice Type looking to get a free switch and Thunder is to take advantage of rain.

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Darkrai @ Leftovers
Trait: Bad Dreams
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Will-O-Wisp

An odd set I know. This thing is all about getting either sleep or burn in and Dark Pulse is for STAB and Ice Beam is just there.

2 things. One you should add more text and fix your formatting and you should change bulky darkrai for bulky mewtwo. It may not be able to make things sleep or Bruno them, but is faster, bulkyer can set up screens and taut the opponent. I not saying that original sets are bad, but darkrai is to frail in ubers to use a set like that.

Crunch on Zekrom is probably not worth it. You only hit Psychics for 160 damage, much less than a STAB Bolt Strike or Outrage. Poor Zekrom's coverage is so bad, another Dragon move is the thing to do here. Dragon Tail scouts switch-ins, while Dragon Claw can be used to avoid being locked on Outrage.

What does Stone Edge do? Reshiram is hit harder by [Dragon Move] while Lugia and other flyers are handled with Bolt Strike. Fusion Bolt or Volt Switch are a couple suggestions for accuracy or scouting/sub-breaking.

I will change the Crunch to Dragon Claw and Stone Edge to Volt Switch. Game Freak had a nice mon on their hands except when they gave it poor coverage.

Your Darkrai shouldn't have that moveset. For a start, it looks rubbish. Try this: Darkrai @ Leftovers Trait: Bad Dreams EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Dark Void - Dark Pulse - Dream Eater - Nasty Plot Your Kyogre is quite slow. You should invest some EV's into it's speed. It doesn't want to be beaten by major threats like Zekrom or Latias (Grass Knot). Otherwise your team takes advantage of the rain pretty well and well, it is quite good.

Don't listen to Clintonrandomnumbers. Dream Eater is a horrible, horrible move. Don't use it. Ever. Your Darkrai set is unorthodox but it actually seems like it works just fine and doesn't need to be changed, save for the EVs. Switch to 0/0/4/252/0/252 Timid. Darkrai does not have the stats to be a specially defensive tank.

At present this team is beaten down by Extremekiller Arceus pretty easily, so I suggest Giratina > Giratina-O.
The set:

Giratina @ Leftovers
Pressure
Impish 252/0/252/0/4/0
- Dragon Tail
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Also replace Crunch and Stone Edge on Zekrom with 2 of the 3; Fusion Bolt, Dragon Claw, Volt Switch. Both of your targets for Crunch and Stone Edge, Mewtwo and Ho-oh, are hit harder by Bolt Strike (Stone Edge is marginally more powerful than Bolt Strike against Ho-oh, but that's just arguing semantics since Ho-oh dies anyway).

Good luck.

Also add a bit to your descriptions.

Tentacruel and scizor get wonderful synergy and can become a fearsome defensive core but i feel as if that isnt being abused to the limit. Why not try making scizor physically defensive instead of specially defensive so that it can take attacks aimed at tentacruel's horrible 80/60 physical base defense side? Besides tentacruel swallows draco meteors pretty easily lol. Also even though Tentacruel gets confuse ray why not try protect over it? It tends to be much more reliable then hitting yourself and you can scout the moves of choiced pokemon. Other then that it is a great team :D. Good luck with it.
