[OVERVIEW]

Eelektross's base 115 Attack and base 105 Special Attack, as well as its large movepool, make it a very versatile Pokemon. Its decent bulk also lets it act as an offensive pivot, tanking hits from foes such as Bronzong and Meloetta whilst dealing significant damage in return. Furthermore, it has virtually no weaknesses thanks to Levitate, which also grants it an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. However, it is extremely slow, making it difficult to use, as it gets outsped by most Pokemon, such as Jellicent and Alomomola, which can easily inflict status on it; furthermore, Pokemon such as Emboar and Tyrantrum are easily able to KO it. Eelektross is also weak to status ailments, which hinder its performance in the long run, especially from status inducers, such as Alomomola, Jellicent, and Mega Steelix.

Moves
===================

Volt Switch makes Eelektross a great pivot, allowing it to deal damage while taking advantage of entry hazard support to wear down its checks, such as Aromatisse, Druddigon, and Mega Audino, while retaining momentum. Flamethrower lets it hit Grass- and Steel-types, such as Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Virizion, Mega Steelix, Durant, and Escavalier, super effectively. Giga Drain deals with Ground-types, such as Rhyperior and Seismitoad, which are immune to Volt Switch, and it also allows Eelektross to recover HP. Hidden Power Ice can beused to hit Dragon-types super effectively, such as Tyrantrum and Flygon, which otherwise wall Eelektross. Knock Off has strong utility, removing Leftovers and Eviolite from the likes of Aromatisse, Alomomola, Amoonguss, and Togetic, making it easier to pressure various defensive Pokemon. Also, Knock Off breaks the Substitute of Substitute + Calm Mind Meloetta, which otherwise uses Eelektross as setup bait. Alternatively, Thunderbolt can be used in the last slot as a more powerful STAB move that OHKOes Clawitzer and Braviary and 2HKOes Spiritomb and Hitmonlee after Stealth Rock damage.

Set Details
=================

Eelektross needs maximum HP and Special Attack to be and effective pivot. A Quiet nature boosts Eelektross's Special Attack. Assault Vest boosts Eelektross's Special Defense, letting it tank hits from Meloetta, Rotom-C, and special Virizion. Alternatively, Expert Belt can be used to increase Eelektross' damage output. If Knock Off is not used, the 4 Attack EVs can be moved into Special Defense, and a Modest nature should be used instead of a Quiet nature.

Usage Tips
=================

Eelektross should be used as an offensive pivot, switching in and out throughout the match while applying pressure with Volt Switch and coverage moves. If Eelektross has been inflicted with status, it should Volt Switch to a cleric, such as Aromatisse and Togetic. To maintain offensive pressure, Volt Switch to a sweeper such as Hitmonlee, Durant, Flygon, Tyrantrum, Virizion, and Emboar. You should not risk letting Eelektross stay in on hard-hitting foes, such as Hitmonlee, Tyrantrum, and Emboar. Also, make sure that Eelektross doesn't get hit by Knock Off, which will reduce its longevity. If the opponent has a Ground-type Pokemon, you should try to correctly predict the opponent's actions and use the appropriate move.

Team Options
===============

As Eelektross is an offensive pivot, it should have a cleric as a partner in case it takes significant damage or is inflicted with a status ailment; examples include Aromatisse, which can provide both Wish and Heal Bell support, as well as Alomomola and Togetic, which can provide Wish and Heal Bell support, respectively. Entry hazard setters put a lot of pressure on the opposing team, as Eelektross forces many switches, racking up residual damage on its foes. Rhyperior, Bronzong, and Mega Steelix are great partners, as they can set up Stealth Rock. Qwilfish, Roselia, and Mega Glalie can stack Spikes, while the former two can stack Toxic Spikes as well. Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Tyrantrum, Life Orb Durant, Life Orb Sigilyph, Choice Specs Rotom-C, and Choice Specs Meloetta can be used, as they appreciate Eelektross' ability to give them a free switch with its slow Volt Switch. Flygon is a great partner as well, as it forms a great VoltTurn core with Eelektross and lures in Alomomola, allowing it to U-turn to Eelektross to gain momentum and pressure the foe.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
==============

Dragon Tail can be effectively used with Toxic and entry hazards, dealing large amounts of residual damage. Flash Cannon together with Acid Spray lets Eelektross deal with Aromatisse and Mega Audino, which otherwise wall it. Eelektross can use Discharge instead of Thunderbolt for the increased chance to paralyze the foe in exchange for power. Charge Beam can be used to gradually increase Eelektross' Special Attack, making it more threatening. Eelektross can use Coil to boost its Attack, Defense, and accuracy, allowing Eelektross to use powerful moves with shaky accuracy, such as Rock Slide and Zap Cannon. Drain Punch can also be used to regain some HP, while Aqua Tail can be used to deal with Ground-types, such as Rhyperior, Dugtrio and Mega Steelix, making Eelektross a great Coil sweeper. Eelektross can run Choice Specs or Choice Band to hit extremely hard; alternatively, a Life Orb can also be used to avoid being locked into a move at the cost of some of Eelektross's HP. It can also run Leftovers to recover damage, which helps a lot due to its limited recovery. Eelektross can also run a physically offensive Assault Vest set with an Adamant nature.This would have Thunder Punch as its main STAB move, U-turn in place of Volt Switch so that it doesn't get walled by Ground-types, Knock Off to take out item-reliant foes, and Drain Punch to recover HP. Aqua Tail can be used over Drain Punch to hit Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, Mega Camerupt, and Dugtrio. An Adamant nature maximizes such a set's damage output.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Aromatisse, Lickilicky, and Mega Audino can take both physical and special attacks from Eelektross. They can, in return, inflict status ailments on Eelektross while being able to recover health with Wish. Aromatisse and Mega Audino are also immune to Dragon Tail and resist Knock Off, and they can also stall Eelektross out with Toxic and pass Wishes to their teammates.

**Dragon-types**: Druddigon resists Electric-type attacks, has great bulk, and can easily dispose of Eelektross with Outrage thanks to its high Attack. Defensive Flygon can stall out Eelektross with Toxic while Roosting off the damage easily, whereas offensive Flygon can take up to three Giga Drains while threatening to KO with Outrage. Tyrantrum can outspeed and can KO Eelektross with its STAB moves, and is merely 3HKOed by Giga Drain. However, Flygon and Tyrantrum have to be wary of Hidden Power Ice.

**Mega Camerupt**: Mega Camerupt can easily beat Eelektross, as it take little damage from all of its moves apart from Aqua Tail. Mega Camerupt, can deal heavy damage to Eelektross in return while preventing it from gaining momentum thanks to its immunity to Volt Switch.

**Status Ailments**: Although Eelektross is immune to paralysis, Toxic and burns cripple Eelektross and reduces its longevity. Burns can render physical sets useless, while Toxic reduces puts a timer in Eelektross.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Emboar, Choice Band Flygon, and Choice Band Tyrantrum can easily KO or severely damage Eelektross.

Not QC but,

In overview, mention that due to its low speed (which you've mentioned) it can get worn down easily with status as some walls like Jellicent and Alomomola which is can outspeed it while surviving a hit. This is not great considering its role as a special tank. It is also outsped by some pertinent threats such as Tyrantrum and Emboar.

  • Volt Switch makes Eelektross a great pivot, which allows Eelektross to deal damage to any neutral target, in the meantime taking advantage of entry hazard support to wear down its checks, such as Registeel, Aromatisse, and Mega Camerupt.

Maybe you could move the mentions of the entry hazards wearing down the respective pokemons in Team Options as opposed to Moves but if you've already mentioned that fact in team options, then its up to you to remove it.

In Usage Tips, mention how it is strongly advised for players to keep Eel away from Knock Off as it can make it significantly less bulky without the AV and easier to wear down.

In team options, mention how some wallbreakers like Tyrantrum, Durant, or Meloetta appreciate Eelektross's ability to give them a safe switch with a slow Volt Switch and they can wear down the opposing team.

  • Rapid Spinners and Defoggers are useful since Eelektross will be constantly switching in and out. Hitmontop, Togetic, and Flygon are good partners, as Hitmontop has access to Intimidate and Flygon has good speed, and Togetic is bulky enough to withstand hits.

Entry hazards aren't that annoying for Eel since it is immune to all form of hazards and has a neutrality to Stealth Rock but I guess it Stealth Rocks can be somewhat annoying for it so its up to you to remove it.

In C&C, maybe you could expand Druddigon to Dragon-types. Defensive variants of Flygon can wall Eelektross completely and stall it out with Toxic and Roost off all the damage it takes. Offensive variants can take 3 Giga Drains and retaliate with Outrage. Tyrantrum can also outspeed Eelektross and 2HKO or OHKO with Head Smash depending on the set. Giga Drain is also only a 3HKO on Tyrantrum from full.

so this overview could stand for maybe a /bit/ of tweaking. not an uncommon thing or anything, but this comes off a lot as 'reading off the pokemon's attributes', which is cool, but it should reference a bit more what kinda stuff this actually results in within the context of the tier. like, you can highlight it's functions as pivot.mon b/c switching in on stuff like zonger, melo, and what have you can be super lame for offense at times, and this sorta does that (at least in the short-term) and keeps momentum, rather than drains it as can be seen in stuff like spiritomb. it can also be noted against it that a lot of stuff that it wants to come in on can very likely catch it w/nasty chip damage status (alomomola, amoonguss, etc), which really hinders its long-term performance v.fatter teams, in spite of the fact that it does get coverage options that would normally make it rather annoying to switch in on w/o a general fatmon w/recovery. spikes immunity is also a pretty nice feature to note specifically when talking about it, since it makes the 'mon far more 'self-sufficient' in terms of utility.

very minor, but i think the giga drain and flamethrower slots should be switched, just given that flamethrower more readily plays into what eelektross is bringing over other 'mons in his 'sphere', beating into grasses as proficiently as that being rather big. also, maybe just me, but i think i'd rather have the hp ice slash w/giga drain, probably in front ?_? i mean, a little recovery on the side is cool, and electric / fire / grass / ice coverage sounds nice in theory, but in doing so you drop both good staying power (forced to switch every time you wanna use your stab) and knock utility, which for me just isn't super worth beating every ground sans camel. i'd just go for volt / fthrower / (hp ice / drain) / (knock / tbolt) to keep it concise, since keeping pressure on toad / rhyperior by knocking to remove leftovers and then just having hazards + offhand attacks keep them low is much easier than whittling away at roosting flygons and hoping something comes of it. then just specify flygon + tyrantrum as hp ice targets (drudd generally is living two + popping off for significant dmg, and is /sorta/ hard to justify on teams at this time, though its definitely not bad), and make sure the big point for tbolt is that its a stab w/staying power, though damage output is also quite good. aqua tail can get a mention here for camel + coverage retention on rhyperior, since this is an ok switch for it if need be, and otherwise it's just sorta wasted.

not sure if you need to highlight mold breaker eq from sawk, given cb ohkoes w/cc regardless (needs sr to 100% ensure if jolly) -_- honestly, idt the hazard removal point is super needed, given this is one of the 'mons that can be p.much ok do as is it does with hazards up. what might be cool to mention are alt beaters that can play into those scalds / sludge bombs, just so that eel can make more of its balance match-up and not get ruined by that chip as mentioned prior. i've ran this w/stuff like specsgrowth and lo sigilyph to this end, and both are fairly effective at coming in on these status-based attacks and not forcing stuff like cleric support, so maybe those could get mentioned either individually or as a more concise bullet on the wallbreakers point, idk

then i'd just slot spdef fatmons (the aromatisse point, but add in stuff like [m-]audino, licki, etc., since they function in a very similar fashion here) -> dragons -> m-camerupt (loses to aqua tail outright, and sorta stalemates w/drain otherwise, but it stops momentum and can maybe 1v1, especially since it usually is running speed to outpace) -> status -> hard hitters in c&c, being the most wholly straightforward and consistent responses. just omit the parts about drudd halting set-up given we aren't main-setting a set-up eel, then not both flygon and tyrantrum are significantly punished by hp ice, and you're good

Aqua Tail can be used over Drain Punch to hit Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, and Dugtrio. Checks and Counters

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Aromatisse, Lickilicky, and Mega Audino can take both physical and special attacks offrom Eelektross, walling it. They can, in return, inflict status ailments on Eelektross andwhile being able to recover health with Wish. Aromatisse and Mega Audino are also immune to Dragon Tail and resist Knock Off. T, and they can also stall Eelektross out with Toxic and pass Wish to its teammates as well.

**Dragon-types**: Druddigon resists Electric-type attacks, has great Ddefenses, and therefore canllowing it to easily dispose of Eelektross with Outrage duethanks to its high Attack stat. Defensive Flygon can stall out Eelektross with Toxic andwhile Roosting off the damage easily, whileereas offensive Flygon can take up to three Giga Drain while threaten to damageing to KO Eelektross with Outrage. Tyrantrum can outspeed and can threaten to KO itKO Eelektross with its STAB moves, while only being 3HKO'ed by Giga Drain. However, Flygon and Tyrantrum fearhave to beware of Hidden Power Ice.

**Mega Camerupt**: Mega Camerupt can easily beat Eelektross, since none of Eelektross' attackas it take little damage from all of its moves apart from Aqua Tail beats it. Mega Camerupt, in return, can deal heavy damage ton Eelektross, as well as stop while preventing it from gaining momentum by switching inthanks to its immunity to Volt Switch.

**Status Ailments**: Although Eelektross is immune to paralysis, Toxicbad poison and burns cripples Eelektross and reduces its efficiency. Burn damages can rendestroy physical Eelektross, making setup pointless. Toxic can slowly KO useless, while bad poison reduces Eelektross, reducing it's longevity.

**Physically Hard-Hitters**: Emboar, Choice Band Flygon, Choice Band Tyrantrum can threaten to KO Eelektross or severeeasily KO or heavily damage itEelektross.

Other Options
==============

Dragon Tail can be effectively used with Toxic and entry hazards, dealing large amounts of residual damage. Flash Cannon together with Acid Spray lets Eelektross deal with Aromatisse and Mega Audino, which otherwise wall it. Eelektross can use Discharge instead of Thunderbolt for the increased chance to paralyze the foe in exchange of for power. Charge Beam can be used to gradually increase Eelektross' Special Attack, making it more threatening. Eelektross can use Coil to boost its Attack, Defense, and Accuracy accuracy, allowing Eelektross to use powerful moves with shaky Accuracy accuracy, such as Rock Slide and Zap Cannon. It can also run Leftovers to recover residual damage, which helps a lot due to its limited recovery. Eelektross can also run a physically offensive Assault Vest set with an Adamant nature.This would have Thunder Punch as its main STAB move, U-turn in place of Volt Switch so that it doesn't get walled by Ground-types, Knock Off to take out item-reliant foes, (AC) and Drain Punch to recover HP. Aqua Tail can be used over Drain Punch to hit Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, Mega Camerupt, and Dugtrio. An Adamant nature maximizes its such a set's damage output.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Aromatisse, Lickilicky, and Mega Audino can take both physical and special attacks from Eelektross, walling it (redundant). They can, in return, inflict status ailments on Eelektross while being able to recover health with Wish. Aromatisse and Mega Audino are also immune to Dragon Tail and resist Knock Off, and they can also stall Eelektross out with Toxic and pass Wishes to its their teammates.

**Dragon-types**: Druddigon resists Electric-type attacks, has great defenses, allowing it to bulk, and can easily dispose of Eelektross with Outrage thanks to its high Attack. Defensive Flygon can stall out Eelektross with Toxic while Roosting off the damage easily, whereas offensive Flygon can take up(space)to three Giga Drains while threatening to KO with Outrage. Tyrantrum can outspeed and can KO Eelektross with its STAB moves, while being 3HKO'd and is merely 3HKOed by Giga Drain. However, Flygon and Tyrantrum have to beware wary of Hidden Power Ice.

**Mega Camerupt**: Mega Camerupt can easily beat Eelektross, as it take little damage from all of its moves apart from Aqua Tail. Mega Camerupt, in return can deal heavy damage to Eelektross, (RC) in return while preventing it from gaining momentum thanks to its immunity to Volt Switch.

**Status Ailments**: Although Eelektross is immune to paralysis, bad Toxic poison and burns cripple Eelektross and reduces its efficiency longevity. Burns can render physical sets useless, while bad Toxic poison reduces Eelektross's longevity puts a timer on Eelektross (trying to avoid repetition).

**Strong Physical Hard-Hitters Attackers**: Emboar, Choice Band Flygon, and Choice Band Tyrantrum can easily KO or severely damage Eelektross.

Uploaded. I was surprised the overview didn't have anything to talk about its lack of recovery making it very easy to wear down. That's Eel's biggest flaw.
