SS OU Electric terrain hawlucha

Hello there, I just created this account so I could post my SS OU team here, forgive me for my bad English in advance.

Lyca.jpg

Okay, so Everything started with the simplest question of all times: Who will I choose to set up my stealth rock. Nowadays the correct awnser would be landorous T Since its a "fast" bulky pokemon with great typing and an outstanding ability, but it had a critical flaw: It is pretty slow, you can clearly see that there are a lot of pokemon that are easily outspeed by Landorous T, but some others faster pokemon like garchomp, mews and even other landorous if you have a fully defensive landorous and they happen to have more speed investiment, for those pokemon you ussualy would allow them to either taunt or stealth rock you, but then I remenbered that in a popular ROM hack called pokemon radical red, the elite four menber Lance uses a sash aerodactyil with taunt and stealth rock, due its sheer speed it would pratically always land a taunt or a stealth rock, thinking about doing the same I got Aerodactyil for the first team version, after playing a lot I realised that I needed a 100% stab rock move, so I decided to filter the pokemons by if they could learn both taunt and stealth rock, and then I saw Lycanroc, with its amazing speed stat and an impressive rock priority move that is boosted by its ability (still worse than intimidate). and then I finally decided that I would be using Lycanroc as my suicide lead since I can easily taunt other rockers and set my owns while I either safely switch it or just straight up sacrifice it.

koko.jpg

Tapu Koko was kind of an odd choice for me at the start since I wanted to use a rilaboom to set the grassy terrain so I could recover some of my health back and activate the grassy seed, but after losing multiple times due to rilaboom's lack of versatily I decided that I needed another terrain user, Tapu Fini wasnt an option because with it on the field I couldnt toxic with Klefable wich is a small part of my general strategy and Tapu lele wasnt an option either because it would make Lycanroc have no attacking moves in certains moments in case I want to bring it up right after her faints or leaves, so the next step is to check koko, it have an amazing speed stat and "decent" bulk with a great typing, chosing support moves was fairly easy since I could run it with light clay and also add a defog in case of me running into a hazard heavy team, Koko was eved so he could survive earthquackes from most pokemons after setting up a reflect, my opponent will ussualy think: Ok, it did a decent chunk I will hit earthquake again so I can kill it once it sets the light screen. and since they expect a light screen I will ussualy switch with U turn to hawlucha, wich has a massive investment in deffense and will even get a def boost from the electric seed and a defense boost from the reflect making it hard to get rid with a physical attacker.

lucha.jpg

Hawlucha is by far one of my most important pkmns, being eved to have physical bulk makes a perfect synergy with reflect tapu koko, but since I only eved it enough so he could outspeed a full speed reigieleki it is pretty slow and useless without an electric terrain, its also impossible to take out another unburden hawlucha with mine since most people will just use the reccomended spread wich has maximun speed. It has great stab moves wich are: acrobactics and close combat, due my high physical defense I can easily set up with swords dance in front of other physical attackers. Iron head was a tough choice since I could also use poison jab to combat fairy typesm but I decided to stick with iron head due its flinch chance.

kyure.jpg

Scarf Kyurem is a great option for most teams wich need a fast special attacker, It was also a good pick for this format because of the extreme popularity of pokemons that are 4X weak to freeze dry such as: Garchomps, pelippers, landorous, dragonites and etc. It also provides a massive damage output with its draco meteor, but since he is locked into a scarf I will most likely switch it out if I survive or K.O the opponent, I choose flash cannon as one of my moves because its very common to run into klefables and ussualy they try to predcit a draco meteor so they can have a free switch in, but I oftenly predct the switch and use flash cannon so I can keep my pressure and tempo, Earth power is a fantastic choice to counter some especific pokemons like heatran, wich gives a lot of troubles to my team in general.

klef.jpg

Klefable was a tough choice to make since I was also considering Quagsire and Toxapex to serve a deffensive/stall role on this team, but after considering that I might run into a pokemon that managed to set up or a blacephalon with multiple beast boosts I decided to stay with klefable since it has a great typing wich gives me another imunity so i can have a safe switch in, and due its unnawere ability It would ignore stat changes, some special attackers that resist fairy might try to grind Klefable to its death, but with a combination of protect, leftovers and soft boiled I can keep myself healthy while I keep constant damage with toxic and moonblast.

zera.jpg

Zeraora is a brand new adition to the team, I used to run a life orb zapdos in its place but after realising that Zeraora would give me another imunity, a fire type move wich I need to hit scizors, ferrothorns and Corviknights and as well be able to take adventage of koko's electric terrain, with a choice band it surely fulfils its role on the team as a fast and agressive secondary physical pokemom, but due its limitations as a band user I also decided to give it volt switch so I could easily pivot to another menber.

Here is the pokepasta, I hope you can help me improve my skills as a competitive pokemon player.

Hello there, while I'm not that good at teambuilding personally, I did notice a few issues with your team, firstly being that your lack of setup sweepers leaves screens koko wasting a valuable team slot. Next up, although I do like putting a bulkier mon on my ho teams, clef is a bit to weak and passive for me, and finally, aside from lucha, your team is very weak to eq from the likes of lando. In this review I will try to fix these problems.

So first off Koko's set
Tapu Koko @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Dazzling Gleam
- grass knot
- U-turn
This set is used to keep powerful electric and fairy stab on the team. Grass knot replaces defog as you dont want to get rid of your own hazards, especially since you have a suicide lead. Heavy duty boots are used to keep koko from taking hazard damage and letting act as a pivot more effectively.

Next off is kyurem, who I changed for scarf lando
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Explosion
I made this change to give you an immunity to both electric and ground in one. U-turn for pivoting, eq for stab, stone edge for coverage, and explosion for one super powerful anti defog weapon.

So, next up I changed clef to an offensive av melmetal
Melmetal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 104 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Ice Punch
- Superpower
- Earthquake
I personally use the melmetal on my ho team alot, while bisharp can help in deterring opponents from defoging away your precious hazards, this man can take quite a pounding before going down, and rarely does so without returning the pain on to your opponent. DIB for power stab, ice punch for grounds like Lando and chomp, super power for fellow steels, and eq for magnezone and other electrics. Thunder punch could replace either eq or ice punch to hit water types like pelipper for good damage if you want.

Finally, since we replaced your ice type with an electric immunity, zera is kinda pointless rn, so I went with the premier physical ice type attacker, weavile.
Weavile @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Triple Axel
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
I made this change so you could have both dark and ice type stab moves, ice shard for priority, triple axel for the stab over crash to beat suicide leads, knock off for both stab and utility, and sd to boost weavile to destructive levels. Heavy duty boots are used to help with weavile weakness to stealth rocks.

A more minor change I made was endeavor over toxic on lycanroc as you'll probably be at 1 up when after setting rocks, so why not get you opponent down there too.
Lycanroc-Dusk @ Focus Sash
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Accelerock
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Endeavor
