Vs. top leads

  • Kabuto: You can OHKO with Thunderbolt, and then outspeed to finish them off with Quick Attack. They can still get rocks up, but your sash will remain intact.
  • Gligar: Elecrike OHKOs with HP ice, but Gligar can either get rocks up or U-turn, breaking Electrike's sash.
  • Meowth: Can block Fake Out with Protect, and Thunderbolt does 72.73% - 95.45% and Quick Attack does 18.18% - 22.73%. However, they can either U-turn breaking your sash, or hypnosis.
  • Gastly: Thunderbolt deals 80.00% - 105.00% so you have a slim chance oh OHKOing and Gastly can either Shadow Ball you to beat you as they outspeed, or they can just hypnosis you. Not a good match-up.
  • Houndour: You deal 71.43% - 85.71% with Thunderbolt to the standard leadour and then 23.81% - 28.57% with Quick Attack, and you outspeed so they can't Sucker Punch you on the QA.
  • Bronzor: Flamethrower deals around 80%, so it's a clean 2HKO so they have to choose between leaving you at 1 HP with no rocks or rocks and you sash is still intact.
  • Aipom: Even with Protect, you can't hit Aipom hard enough to KO with T-bolt + QA, and they outspeed, so you can only get one hit.
  • Chimchar: Tricky prediction here. If you protect they can set up rocks if they don't Fake Out, but you can KO with T-bolt + QA.
  • Hippopotas: Loss
  • Phanpy: Loss

This lead looks decent on paper, but it really doesn't cut it when you consider:

  • Elekid - it outclasses this set by 150%. It beats the many Pokemon you list that Electrike cannot beat due to Speed. Eg: Gligar, Aipom, Gastly.
  • It needs to sacrifice coverage on many leads to beat Fake Out leads
  • It guarantees to start you off with a "small" advantage or a big disadvantage. Not a good risk:reward ratio.

I completely agree with Heysup. Electrike itself is almost completely outclassed by Elekid; the only thing it has over Elekid is Switcheroo and, to an extant, Flamethrower (although Elekid has Cross Chop and Fire Punch to make up for that.) I don't support this current set, but if you can make it so it isn't outclassed by Elekid, I'll give you my support.

I think you have to break this set down and then you realize it's just not that good. Even with Protect, all I see is Electrike not breaking away any Fake Out leads, and losing coverage against Gligar or Bronzor, depending on the move. Even the Fake Out lead you can beat (Meowth) has a chance of surviving TBOLT + QA, and as you said U-Turn or Hypnosis.

The fact is, Electrike can't do anything once it fights the opponent's lead (assuming it gets out alive) - it simply doesn't have the defenses to. And since you aren't getting SR up, you are basically a very weak Elekid.

There could be some merit with a Choice Scarf/Trickeroo set, but right now, I would also have to say no.
