[SET COMMENTS]
Set Description
=========

Electrode's speed stat of base 140 enables it to move first at level 50 regardless of what level the opponent is at. Freeing up levels to be invested elsewhere on your team, and out-classing level 51 Jolteon as a lead.

* Thunderwave is used with 100% accuracy to cripple opposing leads like Jynx and Gengar to make them more manageable for pokemon like ace Lapras and Rhydon to manage later, in addition to ruining ace Tauros and ace Starmie, effectively preventing them from running through your team with a greater consistency than sleep leads.

* STAB Thunderbolt applies adequate pressure to non resists forcing them to act quickly with status or damage instead of setting up evasion.

* Rest is used to establish Nintendo Cup 1997 sleep clause to prevent other pokemon from getting slept after Electrode has used Thunderwave. In addition to giving Electrode defensive utility against other electric types in a pinch.

* Explosion enables Electrode to constantly pressure opponents with big damage and the threat of suddenly letting in a sweeper like Tauros while denying the opponent the chance to threaten status from sleep moves or Blizzard, and crucially denying ace Dugtrio or Rhydon from setting up a substitute or evasion.

Other Options
=============

* The threat of Double Team can sometimes be used to enable Electrode to run away with the match if the opponent lacks an Electric counter, and to punish the opponent for not dispatching Electrode immediately with status and Damage.

* Flash is sometimes used to further cripple paralyzed targets to better enable Electrode's team mates to set up evasion or attack without using evasion. However, the low accuracy of Flash and use of a move slot makes this strategy suseptible to switch stalling and inconsistency.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-resists**: Pokemon that resist Electrode's STAB Thunderbolt like Rhydon and Exeggutor will often switch in and force Electrode to blow up, or simply deny Electrode the chance to paralyze it's premier targets of Jynx and Gengar ultimately making it substantially more difficult for ace Lapras and Rhydon to handle those threats.

I assume that there's no need to mention why one would run double team over rest.
I would rephrase "and out-classing level 51 Jolteon as a lead" to "and out-speeding level 51 Jolteon as a lead".

Otherwise, I approve of this analysis.
