XY UU Empolass ( The Deosharp of the UU )

Hi everyone. This is my first RMT on Smogon that I hope will be original, so don't hesitate to tell me what to change and your review. I based on Deosharp to imagine this team. So I use Froslass to place spikes and Empoleon is the Pokémon that I send on Defog then make big holes on the opposing team. Let's go for the explanations !

Froslass (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Destiny Bond
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Ice Beam
Classic. Froslass is here to place the spikes and sent his opponent to the mat with destiny bond. Taunt is for wanting Pokémon to place their sr like Swampert for example.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse

The scarf of the team. It is used to put some pressure on the team with U-turn in particular. U-turn on Blissey, ( this is just an example) is practical because I can send Infernape on the switch. Draco Meteor and Dark Pulse are its classic stab and Fire Blast is for Steel types, especially M-Aggron which is annoying for my team.

Infernape is a great value in UU with a very high speed (108) and a good attack (104) with a double kind interesting since it can not burn and take only 12% with the fighting type,fighting type is very significant with all the Dark pokemon in UU and a very nice talent not to mention access to Mach Punch boosted by Iron fist. I did not suffer damage from the life orb, this is why I decided to put her fist Plate which increases the attack power of fighting. U-turn is useful if I want to change face a pokemon that Infernape can not pass and then send Hydreigon (both putting pressure on offenvie very important opponent) and Flare Blitz is his best physical fire attack.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Serious Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Yawn
- Scald

The problem with this is that Froslass doesn't pose sr and it is there that occurs Swampert. It lays the SR but also has access to yawn, which forces the opponent to switch if he does not see his pokemon asleep. Yawn has its limits since Pokemon like Roserade / Celebi / Blissey for example do not care. Scald is there to burn 30% of Power and earth is his most powerful special stab and hurt M-Aggron. Moreover, even burned, Swampert can always make correct damage to the opponent. Contrairment other Swampert that are most often played with an investment in defense, mine is specially defensive and it is very good.Il can take shots of Hydreigon (Hydreigon Draco Meteor SpA 252 vs 252 HP / 252 SpD + Swampert. 160-189 (39.6 - 46.7%) of M-Ampharos (252 + SpA Mold Breaker Mega Ampharos Dragon Pulse vs 252 HP / 252 SpD + Swampert. : 141-166 (34.9 - 41%) - 65.5% chance to 3HKO Effective Leftovers recovery or Blastoise Mega (252 + SpA Mega Mega Launcher Water Pulse Blastoise vs 252 HP / 252 SpD + Swampert: 129-153 (31.9 -. 37.8%) -. 0.2% chance to 3HKO Effective Leftovers recovery) But he can not do ca throughout the game because the lack of care move him sorely lacking and the team has no wisher, and it not enough dégats.Il has its limits.

I think Empoleon is the best Pokemon in UU with Defiant. At the beginning I used Tornadus I quickly abandoned because it did not benefit from the sticky web and was quickly kill by Crobat, which is not the case Empoleon has a very interesting type double defensively. Empoleon and the attack is not exceptional, 86 but explotable. Sword Dance is there to place when we could not have the "defog boost" and have some firepower or to increase it after a "defog boost" with defiant even though I tend to use Agility which allows Empoleon to reach 480 after a boost and exceed all of the scarf with a base stat less than or equal to 95. Knock Off is essentially Mew who do not like it (+2 252 Atk Empoleon knock Off (BP 97.5) vs 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 320-378 (79.2 - 93.5%) - guaranteed 2HKO Effective Leftovers recovery).. Waterfall is the most powerful physical stab. Empoleon This version is unique and very surprising but it also has its limits. Physical walls as M-Aggron (again) or Alomomola counteract perfectly Empoleon. The Lum berry is here to prevent an eventual burn.

I needed such a ghost type to prevent my opponent to spin but it had to ghost type who doesn't take * 2 on the dark pulse of M-Blastoise which was a concern. And Spiritomb is the ideal Pokemon for my team because it perfectly fulfills this requirement with good défenses.The goal of Spiritomb is to come on the rapid spin of M-Blastoise and then place Snarl will automatically lower the special attack Blastoise of which we can not 2HKO (on the first Water Pulse: ( 252 + SpA Mega Mega Launcher Water Pulse Blastoise vs 252 HP / 136 SpD Spiritomb. 138-163 (45.3 - 53.6%) - 1.2% Effective opportunity to 2HKO Leftovers recovery ) and afeter Snarl ( -1 SpA 252 + Mega Mega Launcher Water Pulse Blastoise vs 252 HP / 136 SpD Spiritomb: 93-109 (30.5 - 35.8%) - guaranteed 4HKO Effective Leftovers recovery) which is perfect because you can Rest and Sleep peacefully use talk without Mega Blastoise can we knock and Spiritomb wins the duel. Same for Starmie. But it is not only the rapid spinners, there Donphan it can burn after an earthquake (252 + Atk . My team was really hard to manage what gets too hard on the Physical ( Hello V-create Victini Band, or Pokémon choice band in general) types fairy in general and finally Pokémon like Suicune are threats to my team. Sorry for my English, it's not my Maternal language.
