Draft Enamorus

[overview]
**Draft order**: Round 2 onwards

**Price range**: 16-17 points

**Overview**: Enamorus is a strong Fairy-type that hits foes with its powerful STAB Moonblast and has access to good coverage options, allowing it to beat some of its checks. It also has access to setup moves that allow it to pose a great threat to teams; it even has physical options with Superpower, which utilizes Contrary, and Play Rough. However, what holds it back is its base Speed, and while it's above average, it makes it susceptible to Choice Scarf users and Pokemon with higher Speed. It's also physically frail, it weak to common priority attacks, which can further be exacerbated with its weakness to Stealth Rock. While it can struggle to get good opportunities to switch in safely due to functionally serving as a glass cannon, it can be an overwhelming offensive presence with teams lacking good Fairy resistances and a potent sweeper that needs to be carefully prepared for in team building.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: When given an offensive damage-boosting item, such as Choice Specs or Life Orb, Enamorus can be a strong wallbreaker that few teams can handle effectively, though its drawbacks are that it is weak to Stealth Rock and easily revenge killed by Choice Scarf users and faster threats.

**Setup sweeper**: By utilizing set up moves, such as Calm Mind, Iron Defense, and Agility, it can become a potent sweeper that can end games right on the spot. While it's not weak by its own, it can lack some immediate power when its EVs are invested defensively and can be prone to anti-setup options such as Encore or Taunt.

**Contrary sweeper**: A strong physical set that is enabled by Contrary and Superpower can allow it to take advantage of its decent Attack and can surprise teams preparing for Enamorus's more common special sets, having the potential to snowball into a difficult-to-KO sweeper. The downsides to using Contrary + Superpower are its lack of good physical coverage options besides Play Rough and relying on Choice Scarf or Tailwind for any speed control due to Contrary preventing the use of Agility or Salac Berry.

*Late-game cleaner**: With Agility or Choice Scarf, Enamorus can clean up games, using its strong coverage and Speed to KO the remaining Pokemon on the opponent’s side. However, keep in mind priority move users that can stop it from cleaning up, as well as opposing Choice Scarf users that have a higher base Speed.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB moves**: Moonblast, Alluring Voice, Springtide Storm, Draining Kiss, Play Rough

**Setup moves**: Calm Mind, Iron Defense, Agility

**Utility moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Substitute

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Psychic, Grass Knot, Sludge Bomb, Focus Blast, Superpower, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head

Niche Moves
========
**Misty Explosion**: Misty Explosion is one of Enamorus's stronger STAB moves but with the effect of sacrificing itself after using the move. This could have merit in cases where it needs to secure a trade against a foe, and Enamorus is too weak to do anything else, or it could set up the next Pokemon to come in for free.

**Tailwind**: Tailwind helps support Enamorus when it can't use Agility or Salac Berry due to Contrary and can help its teammates with good speed control.

**Weather Ball**: When Enamorus is paired up with weather setters, or if sets it up by itself, Weather Ball can provide additional coverage it doesn't get access to normally, allowing it to hit certain Pokemon that usually wall its common coverage options, such as Moltres and Rotom-H.

**Endure**: Endure enables Enamorus to use items such as Custap Berry or Salac Berry, allowing it to activate them easier. It can also be used to activate Weakness Policy on super effective attacks that would normally KO it.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots gives Enamorus protection against Stealth Rock, enabling it to utilize its defensive qualities and have better opportunities to set up. It loses out on power and speed from the Choice items but makes up for it with being able to choose its moves freely, as well as the ability to switch in and out without taking entry hazard damage.

**Choice Scarf**: Choice Scarf lets Enamorus outspeed Pokemon that are usually faster than it and clean games with relative ease with its natural power. This does leave it prone to priority attacks and faster Choice Scarf users.

**Choice Specs**: Enamorus becomes a difficult Pokemon to switch into with lackluster Fairy resistances, allowing it to hit harder with its STAB moves or hone in on an opposing team’s weaknesses. It does mean it has to rely on its base Speed, making it easy to revenge kill by foes that use Choice Scarf, naturally faster threats, and priority move users.

Niche Items
========
**Expert Belt or Life Orb**: These items can be used to boost Enamorus's damage output while still retaining the ability to swap moves freely. However, without the protection of Heavy-Duty Boots, these sets will get worn down by Stealth Rock, so having entry hazard removal will be important.

**Choice Band**: Choice Band makes use of its decent Attack to surprise its usual specially defensive checks and hit them with physical STAB Play Rough or Contrary + Superpower. However, it lacks additional coverage needed in some matchups.

**Leftovers**: Leftovers gives better longevity to bulkier sets that use Calm Mind and Iron Defense to increase its durability, making it more difficult for the foe to KO. This does mean that it will lack damage output given its reliance on survivability.

**Weakness Policy**: Weakness Policy can be used in conjunction with its good defensive setup options to tank super effective attacks and maximize Enamorus's offensive output, enabling it to sweep effortlessly.

**Mental Herb**: Mental Herb helps Enamorus beat disruption moves, such as Encore and Taunt, that can stop it from setting up freely.

**Salac Berry**: Salac Berry can be used alongside Substitute or Endure to give Enamorus the Speed boost it needs to sweep teams.

**Custap Berry**: Custap Berry can be used to enable use of its utility moves, such as Healing Wish and Tailwind, or to catch faster threats by surprise.

Tera
========
Enamorus-I is usually Tera-banned. However, whenever it's allowed, Enamorus is a great Tera Captain because of the amount of Tera types it can use to fit any situation. Tera types like Tera Fairy and Flying are great to further boost damage for its STAB options, Tera Ground and Fire to give Enamorus good offensive and defensive typing to handle its checks, Tera Stellar to use the combination of Contrary + Tera Blast to keep boosting so that it can snowball into a powerful sweeper, and Tera Water and Steel to receive better defensive typing for setup variants.

Draft Strategy
========
Enamorus shines at being able to find opportunities to switch in freely on Pokemon that it can set up on or pressure with its STAB Moonblast and coverage. It works well with Pokemon that appreciate its strong special attacks and can help enable its other options.

**Physical wallbreakers**: Since Enamorus is primarily a special attacker, you want to have physical wallbreakers that can pressure the specially defensive walls that Enamorus can struggle to break. Pokemon such as Urshifu-S, Palafin, and Iron Hands provide strong physical options that have good offensive presence in most games.

**Speed control**: Though Enamorus is a good user of Choice Scarf with its base Speed, having better speed control is important when you’re not relying on Choice Scarf and need naturally faster Pokemon. Greninja, Meowscarada, and Sneasler are great options for having a fast Speed tier and the ability to pivot in Enamorus safely.

**Entry hazard removal**: Enamorus's weakness to Stealth Rock can be a detriment to sets not relying on Heavy-Duty Boots for protection, so having entry hazard removal is important in this regard. Rapid Spin options, such as Great Tusk and Terapagos, or alternatively Defog support from Corviknight and Talonflame, can alleviate the need to run Heavy-Duty Boots most games.

**Momentum**: Enamorus is a strong offensive presence that can struggle to switch in given its frailty, so having numerous options for pivoting is important. Pokemon that have access to U-turn, Volt Switch, or other forms of building or keeping momentum are good options so that Enamorus is able to get on the field safely.

Checks and Counters
========
**Special walls**: Pokemon with really good special bulk are able to switch into Enamorus's attacks, especially those with resistances to Fairy, which include Fire-, Steel-, and Poison-types. Enamorus is usually able to slot in Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Superpower for these types, but sometimes it will run into matchups where it can struggle to break them or have proper coverage.

**Faster threats**: Enamorus's Speed leaves it susceptible to getting revenge killed by faster Pokemon such as Latios, Sneasler, and Ogerpon-H. It can rely on Choice Scarf to better fix its Speed issue, but it can find itself still being outpaced by those same Pokemon when they're also using Choice Scarf.

**Priority moves**: Enamorus is a frail Pokemon, especially given its Stealth Rock weakness, so it can be prone to getting knocked out by strong priority attacks such as Jet Punch from Palafin-H, Extreme Speed from Dragonite, and Bullet Punch from Scizor.

**Draft order**: Round 1-3, usually depends on whether or not its allowed to Terastalize Just say "Round 2 onward" - can mention that it's a round 1 worthy pick with tera in the tera section but it's terabanned in winter seasonal

**Price range**: 16-17 points

**Overview**: Enamorus-Incarnate is a strong Fairy-type that hits teams on the special side with powerful STAB Moonblast and has access to good coverage options that allow it to beat some of its checks. Not only that, it also has access to setup that allows it to pose a great threat to teams, especially when given access to Terastalization which can allow it to better adapt into any scenario when building, and has physical options with Contrary Superpower and Play Rough. However what holds it back is its base speed, though above average, makes it susceptible to Choice Scarfers and by Pokemon with higher speeds. It's also frail on the physical side making it weak to common priority attacks which can further be exacerbated with its weakness to Stealth Rock due to its dual Flying typing. While it can struggle to get good opportunities to switch in safely due to its glass cannon status, it can be an overwhelming offensive presence with teams lacking good Fairy resistance and a potent sweeper that needs to be prepared throughly in building.

Common Roles
========
Wallbreaker: When given offensive boosting items, such as Choice Specs or Life Orb, Enamorus-I can be a strong wallbreaker that few teams can handle effectively with its drawbacks being its weakness to Stealth Rock and easily getting revenged by Choice Scarfers and faster threats.

Set-up Sweeper: By utilizing set up moves such as Calm Mind, Iron Defense or Agility, it can become a potent sweeper that can end games right on the spot. While it's not weak by its own, it can lack some immediate power when investing into its survivability to enable its setup and can be prone to anti-setup options such as Encore or Taunt.

End-Game Cleaner: With Agility or Choice Scarf, Enamorus-I can clean up games with its strong coverage and speed to kill the remaining Pokemon on the opponent’s side. However, the user has to keep in mind priority users that can stop it from cleaning up, as well as opposing Choice Scarf users with higher base speeds.

Put **'s back on the titles, "contrary sweeper" with superpower seems worth mentioning too. Probably can change current "setup sweeper" to "Special Setup Sweeper" to distinguish

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB moves**: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Play Rough

**Setup moves**: Calm Mind, Iron Defense, Agility

**Utility moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Substitute, Tailwind Put Tailwind in niche or don't mention it at all imo

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Psychic, Grass Knot, Sludge Bomb, Focus Blast, Superpower, Zen Headbutt Add Iron Head

Niche Moves
========
Springtide Storm: Springtide Storm is a stronger form of Fairy STAB that Enamorus-I can use for better damage output. But it can be unreliable due to its fairly low accuracy and due to it and Moonblast only having a small base power difference, making it unnecessary in most cases. Might be fine just moving to common moves under STAB

Misty Explosion: Misty Explosion is another one of Enamorus-I’s stronger STABs but with the effect of killing the user after using the move. This could have merit in cases where it needs to secure a trade between Pokemon and Enamorus-I is too weak to do anything else or to set up the next Pokemon to come in for free.

Rain Dance/Sunny Day: While these moves are very situational in usage, Enamorus-I can utilize either weather setting option to disrupt opposing weather based drafts or strategies and potentially help your own teammates depending on the scenario. Enam gets weather ball too - could be mentioned here or separately

Endure worth mentioning? Doesn't seem as good as some other potential endure custap mons but it's still an option

Common Items
========
Heavy-Duty Boots: Heavy-Duty Boots give Enamorus-I protection against Stealth Rock, enabling it to utilize its defensive qualities better, and better opportunities to set up. It loses out on power and speed from the Choiced items but makes up for it with being flexible with choosing moves and ability to switch in and out freely.

Choice Scarf: Choice Scarf gives Enamorus-I the speed it needs to outspeed Pokemon that are usually faster than it and clean games with relative ease with its natural power. This does leave it prone to priority attacks and faster Choice Scarfers.

Choice Specs: Enamorus-I becomes a difficult Pokemon to switch into with lackluster Fairy resistances, especially with access to Terastalization, allowing it to hit harder with its STABs or hone in on an opposing team’s weaknesses. It does mean though it has to rely on its base speed making it easy to revenge through Choice Scarfers, naturally faster threats, and priority.

Niche Items
========
Expert Belt or Life Orb: These items can be used to boost Enamorus-I’s damage output while still retaining the ability to swap moves freely. However without the protection of Heavy-Duty Boots, these sets will get worn down by Stealth Rock so having removal will be important.

Leftovers: Leftovers give better longevity to bulkier sets that use Calm Mind and Iron Defense to increase its durability and become difficult to kill for the opponent. This does mean that it will lack damage output given its reliance on survivability.

Weakness Policy: Weakness Policy can be used in conjunction with its good defensive setup options to tank super-effective hits and maximize Enamorus-I’s offensive output and enable it to sweep effortlessly.

Mental Herb: Mental Herb helps Enamorus-I beat disruption moves such as Encore and Taunt that can stop it from setting up freely.

Salac Berry: Using Salac Berry alongside options such as Substitute or Endure can give the speed boost it needs to sweep teams.

Choice Band: Choice Band makes use of its decent physical attack stat to mix up checks that try to deal with it on the special side and hit it with physical STAB Play Rough or Contrary Superpower. However, it lacks additional coverage needed in some matchups. (just a way to clean it up & remove talking about tera, and I'd move band up higher, maybe above leftovers) Stellar-type Tera Blast. However, aside from Superpower and Play Rough, it lacks good physical coverage and will have to rely on Terastalization to give it more options.

Tera
========
Enamorus-I is Tera banned in most official Smogon Draft tournaments, However, Whenever it's allowed to Terastalize, Enamorus-I is a great abuser because of the amount of Tera types it can use to fit any situation to either counter its checks, bolster its offensive presence, or have better defensive typing. Tera Fairy and Flying are great to further its STAB options; Tera Flying giving it a strong Flying coverage to beat teams lacking Flying resistances, Tera Ground gives Enamorus-I defensive utility with an Electric-type immunity and Rock resistance and stronger Earth Power which allows it to beat effectively all the most common typing that can counter Fairy-types, and can even use Tera Stellar to give it Tera Blast Stellar that can allow it to snowball into a powerful sweeper. There are also niche options to Terastalize, such as Tera Electric to avoid Thunder Wave and paralysis, Tera Dark to prevent Prankster users from shutting it down completely, and Too niche - doesn't really need to be mentioned Tera Water and Steel for better defensive typing for set up variants.
I'd condense this whole section a bit to be more concise. Say like "Tera Flying/Ground/Fire are good offensive options for stronger coverage, Stellar combined with Contrary Tera Blast can snowball into a powerful sweeper, etc etc" each one doesn't need full examples and explanations

Draft Strategy
========
Enamorus-I shines in being able to switch in freely Pokemon that are weak on the special side or weak to its coverage, which can allow it to set up. You want to be able to find ways to enable its sets to the best of its ability.

Physical breakers: Since Enamorus-I is primarily a special attacker, you want to have physical breakers that can pressure the specially defensive walls that Enamorus-I can struggle to break. Pokemon such as Urshifu-S, Palafin, and Iron Hands provide strong physical options that have good offensive presence in most games they’re bought.

Speed options: Though Enamorus-I is a good user of Choice Scarf with its base speed, having better speed control options is important when you’re not relying on Choice Scarf and need faster natural speed. Greninja, Meowscarada, and Sneasler are great options for having a fast speed tier and the ability to pivot in Enamorus-I safely.

Entry Hazard removal: Enamorus-I’s weakness to Stealth Rock can be a detriment to sets not relying on Heavy-Duty Boots for protection so having entry hazard removal is important in this regard. Rapid Spin options such as Great Tusk and Terapagos or alternatively Defog support from Corviknight and Talonflame can alleviate the need to run Heavy-Duty Boots most games.

Momentum: Enamorus-I is a strong offensive presence that can struggle to get in given its frailty, so having various means of pivoting is important. Pokemon that have access to U-Turn, Volt Switch, or other forms of momentum Flip Turn are good options to get given their wide range of distribution. Other options include Chili Reception from Slowking-G and more niche options such as Teleport, Parting Shot and Baton Pass. redundant

Checks and Counters
========
Special walls: Pokemon with really good special bulk are able to switch into its attacks, especially those with resistances to Fairy-type attacks which include Fire-, Steel-, and Poison-types. Enamorus-I is usually able to slot in Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Superpower for these types but sometimes it will run into matchups where it can struggle to break teams.

Faster threats: Enamorus-I’s speed leaves it susceptible to getting revenged by faster Pokemon such as Latios, Sneasler, and Ogerpon-H. It can rely on Choice Scarf to better fix its speed tier but it can find itself still being outpaced when those Pokemon are also given Choice Scarf.

Priority: Enamorus-I is a flail frail Pokemon especially given its Stealth Rock weakness, so it can be prone to getting knocked out by strong priority attacks such as Jet Punch from Palafn, Extreme Speed by Dragonite or Bullet Punch from Scizor. It can rely on Terastalization to change into a better defensive type against these priority attacks but it's better to rely upon defensive pivots to handle switching into these attacks.

qc 1/2 - just keep in mind the majority of the analysis should assume tera ban, since it's banned in winter seasonal. Also make sure the **'s stay on the subtitles, so that the titles will be bolded when finished.

The downsides to using Contrary Superpower are its lack of good physical coverage options apart from Play Rough and relying on Choice Scarf or Tailwind for any speed control due to Contrary preventing usage of Agility or Salac Berry.

**End-Game Cleaner**: With Agility or Choice Scarf, Enamorus-I can clean up games with its strong coverage and speed to kill the remaining Pokemon on the opponent’s side. This could have merit in cases where it needs to secure a trade between Pokemon and Enamorus-I is too weak to do anything else or to set up the next Pokemon to come in for free.

**Tailwind**: Though outclass by Agility for speed control and having short duration, Tailwind works for getting Enamorus speed for Contrary sets sets that want to spam Superpower and be able to switch moves without the downsides of Choice Scarf. (if we're mentioning tailwind it should be focussed on enabling its teammates imo)

**Rain Dance/Sunny Day**: While these moves are very situational in usage, Enamorus-I can utilize either weather setting option to disrupt opposing weather based drafts or strategies, potentially help your own teammates depending on the scenario, and even itself thanks to access of Weather Ball.

**Weather Ball**: When Enamorus-I is paired up with weather setters or if sets it up by itself, Weather Ball can provide additional coverage it doesn't get access to normally, allowing it to hit certain Pokemon that usually wall of its common coverage options, such as Moltres and Rotom-Heat, with Water- or Rock-type attacks.

Draft Strategy

Enamorus-I shines in being able to find opportunities to switch in freely on Pokemon that it can abuse for set up on or to pressure with its strong STAB Moonblast and coverage. It works well with Pokemon that appreciate its strong special coverage and can enable its more dangerous sets.

general notes about some changes i made a few times:
  • bolded red every reference of Enam-I/Incarnate, so implement carefully; base genie formes are not referred to as anything other than their name
  • you can revenge kill, but you cannot "kill" a pokemon; you KO it
  • Choice Scarf users/foes that use Choice Scarf/etc., not Choice Scarfers

**Misty Explosion**: Misty Explosion is another one of Enamorus-I’s stronger STABs Enamorus's stronger STAB moves but with the effect of killing the user sacrificing itself after using the move. This could have merit in cases where it needs to secure a trade against the opposing Pokemon a foe, and Enamorus-I is too weak to do anything else, (ac) or it could to set up the next Pokemon to come in for free.

**Tailwind**: Tailwind helps support Enamorus-I when it can't use Agility or Salac Berry due to Contrary and can help its teammates with good speed control.

**Weather Ball**: When Enamorus-I is paired up with weather setters, (ac) or if sets it up by itself, Weather Ball can provide additional coverage it doesn't get access to normally, allowing it to hit certain Pokemon that usually wall of its common coverage options, such as Moltres and Rotom-Heat, with Water- or Rock-type attacks implied from weather & therefore dex info.

**Endure**: Endure enables Enamorus-I to use items such as Custap Berry or Salac Berry, (ac) allowing it to activate them easier. It can also be used to activate Weakness Policy on super (rh) effective attacks that would normally kill KO it.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots gives Enamorus-I protection against Stealth Rock, enabling it to utilize its defensive qualities (rc) and have better opportunities to set up. It loses out on power and speed from the Choiced Choice items but makes up for it with being able to choose its moves freely, (ac) and as well as the ability to switch in and out without taking entry hazard damage.

**Choice Scarf**: Choice Scarf gives Enamorus-I the speed it needs to lets Enamorus outspeed Pokemon that are usually faster than it and clean games with relative ease with its natural power. This does leave it prone to priority attacks and faster Choice Scarfers Scarf users.

**Choice Specs**: Enamorus-I becomes a difficult Pokemon to switch into with lackluster Fairy resistances, (ac) allowing it to hit harder with its STABs STAB moves or hone in on an opposing team’s weaknesses. It does mean though it has to rely on its base Speed, (ac) making it easy to revenge through Choice Scarfers kill by foes that use Choice Scarf, naturally faster threats, and priority move users.

Niche Items
========
**Expert Belt or Life Orb**: These items can be used to boost Enamorus-I’s Enamorus's damage output while still retaining the ability to swap moves freely. However, (ac) without the protection of Heavy-Duty Boots, these sets will get worn down by Stealth Rock, (ac) so having entry hazard removal will be important.

**Choice Band**: Choice Band makes use of its decent physical attack stat Attack to mix up surprise assume this is what you mean here its usual specially defensive checks that try to deal with it on the special side and hit it them with physical STAB Play Rough or Contrary + added a plus Superpower. However, it lacks additional coverage needed in some matchups.

**Leftovers**: Leftovers give gives better longevity to bulkier sets that use Calm Mind and Iron Defense to increase its durability, (ac) and become difficult to kill making it more difficult for the opponent foe to KO. This does mean that it will lack damage output given its reliance on survivability.

**Weakness Policy**: Weakness Policy can be used in conjunction with its good defensive setup options to tank super (rh) effective hits attacks and maximize Enamorus-I’s Enamorus's offensive output, (ac) and enable enabling it to sweep effortlessly.

**Mental Herb**: Mental Herb helps Enamorus-I beat disruption moves, (ac) such as Encore and Taunt, (ac) that can stop it from setting up freely.

**Salac Berry**: Salac Berry can be used alongside Substitute or Endure to give Enamorus-I the Speed boost it needs to sweep teams.

**Custap Berry**: Custap Berry can be used to enable good usage use of its utility moves, (ac) such as Healing Wish and Tailwind, (ac) or to catch faster threats by surprise.

Tera
========
Enamorus-I is usually Tera-banned (ah). However, whenever it's allowed, (ac) Enamorus-I is a great Tera Captain because of the amount of Tera types it can use to fit any situation. Tera types such as like Tera Fairy and Flying are great to further boost damage for its STAB options, Tera Ground and Fire to give Enamorus-I good offensive and defensive typing to handle its checks, Tera Stellar for to use the combination of Contrary + Tera Blast to keep boosting so that it can snowball it into a powerful sweeper, and Tera Water and Steel for to receive better defensive typing for set up setup variants.

Draft Strategy
========
Enamorus-I shines in at being able to find opportunities to switch in freely on Pokemon that it can set up on or pressure with its STAB Moonblast and coverage. It works well with Pokemon that appreciate its strong special attacks and can help enable its other options.

**Physical wallbreakers**: Since Enamorus-I is primarily a special attacker, you want to have physical wallbreakers that can pressure the specially defensive walls that Enamorus-I can struggle to break. Pokemon such as Urshifu-S, Palafin, and Iron Hands provide strong physical options that have good offensive presence in most games they’re bought.

**Speed options control**: Though Enamorus-I is a good user of Choice Scarf with its base Speed, having better speed control options is important when you’re not relying on Choice Scarf and need faster natural speed naturally faster Pokemon. Greninja, Meowscarada, and Sneasler are great options for having a fast Speed tier and the ability to pivot in Enamorus-I safely.

**Entry hazard removal**: Enamorus-I’s Enamorus's weakness to Stealth Rock can be a detriment to sets not relying on Heavy-Duty Boots for protection, (ac) so having entry hazard removal is important in this regard. Rapid Spin options, (ac) such as Great Tusk and Terapagos, (ac) or alternatively Defog support from Corviknight and Talonflame, (ac) can alleviate the need to run Heavy-Duty Boots most games.

**Momentum**: Enamorus-I is a strong offensive presence that can struggle to get switch in given its frailty, so having numerous options of for pivoting is important. Pokemon that have access to U-Turn U-turn, Volt Switch, or other forms of building or keeping momentum are good options to have for Enamorus-I so it's so that Enamorus is able to get in on the field safely.

Checks and Counters
========
**Special walls**: Pokemon with really good special bulk are able to switch into its Enamorus's attacks, especially those with resistances to Fairy-type attacks, (ac) which include Fire-, Steel-, and Poison-types. Enamorus-I is usually able to slot in Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Superpower for these types, (ac) but sometimes it will run into matchups where it can struggle to break them or have proper coverage.

**Faster threats**: Enamorus-I’s speed Enamorus's Speed leaves it susceptible to getting revenged revenge killed by faster Pokemon such as Latios, Sneasler, and Ogerpon-H. It can rely on Choice Scarf to better fix its Speed issue, (ac) but it can find itself still being outpaced when by those same Pokemon when they're also given using Choice Scarf.

**Priority moves**: Enamorus-I is a frail Pokemon, (ac) especially given its Stealth Rock weakness, so it can be prone to getting knocked out by strong priority attacks such as Jet Punch from Palafin-H, Extreme Speed by from Dragonite, (ac) or and Bullet Punch from Scizor.
