How does endless battle clause work in ADV? My opponent was using Mean Look Muk with Mud-Slap as the only attacking move. I know PP stalling is a valid strategy but initially he didn't switch out after all my PP had run out, and in ADV struggle doesn't do the 1/4 recoil like in later games so there was no way for me to get my own pokemon KO'd after leftovers healing. He only switched out after I mentioned the endless battle clause. In the showdown help chat someone suggested I add this topic here. I'd assume it works the same way in Gen 2, as the struggle mechanics work the same and most pokemon are holding leftovers.
Easy update could be forcing the player that has trapped the opponent to switch out if both pokemon are using Struggle. This still unfortunately leaves the option of them switching to a Dugtrio or other Trapping ability pokemon, or just trapping with their last pokemon so they cannot switch either. Banning leftovers on pokemon that trap the opponent, like for Wobbuffet in ADV Ubers, solves the problem but that sounds more like tiering policy than Showdown suggestions.
