Excellent typing, a decent ability in Overcoat, and great defensive stats allow Escavalier to check threats such as Celebi and Sleep Powder Roserade, making it a good defensive pivot. Knock Off cripples Pokemon such as Doublade and Mantine while also preventing Chandelure from walling Escavalier. Swords Dance boosts Escavalier's Attack to huge levels, allowing it to serve as a dangerous wallbreaker towards common defensive Pokemon such as Bronzong. Alternatively, Protect scouts for Choice-locked Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Chandelure and allows Escavalier to scout for Fire-type coverage on foes such as Noivern and Necrozma. Close Combat is another potential option that hits Pokemon such as Incineroar, Cobalion, and Lucario. Maximum HP and Special Defense investment helps Escavalier to take on threats such as Rotom-C and Gardevoir.

Due to a lack of reliable recovery, Pokemon that can provide Wish support such as Umbreon and Vaporeon make great teammates. Both check Chandelure, while Escavalier checks Gardevoir for the former and counters Roserade for the latter. Fighting-types such as Sirfetch'd and Machamp benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types like Reuniclus and Gardevoir. They can also help pressure bulky Water-types that can be annoying for Escavalier. Other Water-type checks, such as Celebi and Roserade, are also useful partners. Pivots such as Heliolisk and Noivern can bring Escavalier in safely against Roserade and Umbreon. Gigalith checks Chandelure, Ninetales, and Noivern while benefiting from Escavalier countering Roserade. Non-Close Combat Escavalier cannot touch Lucario, so Pokemon such as Jellicent, Mantine, and Chandelure also make good partners. Fire-type checks such as Mantine, Gigalith, and Flygon are excellent partners.

Escavalier's excellent typing, along with great defensive stats, make it an imposing presence. Its aforementioned Bug / Steel typing allows it to check metagame staples such as Roserade and Reuniclus definitely find a way to include Overcoat into this point on Roserade, it's why its such a good answer to it. Swords Dance boosts Escavalier's Attack to huge levels, allowing it to serve as a dangerous wallbreaker towards common defensive cores. Knock Off hits Pokemon such as Doublade and Chandelure, while also having the added utility of punishing switch-ins by removing their items It's also great for just spamming early game to cripple checks like Mantine/Milotic too, I would specificy that these are some of said "switch-ins" cause thats really useful in pressuring defensive cores. 56 Attack with an Adamant nature gives a jump point, while the rest of the EVs are dumped into HP and Special Defense to maximize Escavalier's bulk and improve its matchup against Pokemon like Gardevoir/Espeon/Reuniclus as much as possible.

Due to a lack of reliable recovery, teammates who can provide Wish support such as Umbreon and Vaporeon make great teammates. Vaporeon in particular checks Chandelure i mean so does umbreon, while Escavalier counters Grass-types such as Roserade. I'd briefly mention their cleric support too, allowing Escavalier to risk staying in on a Scald when it is at +2. Fighting-types such as Sirfetch'd and Machamp benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types. Machamp in particular is especially useful for its ability to pressure Water types. Pokemon who can bring in Escavalier for free due to its vulnerability to chip are good options, such as Flygon and Heliolisk. The former also checks Fire-types eg? (Chandy/Ninetales), while the latter can switch into Water-types that Escavalier hates and bring escavalier in on Roserade/Umbreon.

Tbh given the main switch in to Flygon is most likely gonna be Weezing on a lot of teams, and that Escavalier has a lot of issues with Fire Blast Weezing, I feel this that Flygon isnt really the best example of a pivot that benefits Escavalier, unless there are other reasons than checking Ninetales that you can include here for why you'd choose it. (Like other potential pivots like Milotic dont benefit you much either, its only really Bronzong that you benefit from, and most bronzong teams are gonna have a weezing too).

Escavalier's excellent typing, along with great defensive stats, make it an imposing presence. This feels like fluff rn, reword the first two sentences to say how the typing + stats/ability help check Rose and Reuni making it a <insert buzzword> in the tier. Its aforementioned Bug / Steel typing, along with its Overcoat ability, allows it to check metagame staples such as Roserade and Reuniclus. Swords Dance boosts Escavalier's Attack to huge levels, allowing it to serve as a dangerous wallbreaker towards common defensive cores. This is also just fluff because you aren't specifying what this helps it break. Give examples. Knock Off hits Pokemon such as Doublade and Chandelure, while also having the added utility of punishing switch-ins by removing their items. Reword this to Knock Off lets it cripple Pokemon like Doublade, Mantine, and Milotic and allows it OHKO Chandelure after Stealth Rock. The set is no longer just about SD so this makes more sense and makes it flow better. 56 Attack with an Adamant nature gives a jump point, while the rest of the EVs are dumped into HP and Special Defense to maximize Escavalier's bulk, allowing it to take on threats such as Espeon better.

Obviously give a brief line on what Protect helps it do.

Due to a lack of reliable recovery, teammates who can provide Wish support such as Umbreon and Vaporeon make great teammates. Both check Chandelure, while Escavalier checks Fairy-types for the former and counters Grass-types for the latter. Fighting-types such as Sirfetch'd and Machamp benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types like Reuniclus and Gardevoir. The latter can also threaten out Water-types that Escavalier dislikes. Both threaten the bulky Water-types, Machamp just doesn't care for getting Scald burned so reword or say both break them. Pokemon who can bring in Escavalier for free due to its vulnerability to chip are good options, such as Heliolisk. Specifically, Heliolisk can switch into Water-types that Escavalier hates, while bringing it in on Roserade and Umbreon.

You can make this a one-liner about how pivots like Helio & Noivern bring in Pokemon like Rose, Umb, and Giga than having two lines on this. Just cut out the switching into the Water-types part. I'm not really sure why there is so much emphasis on this anyways when after an SD you can break Vaporeon and Milotic with Megahorn assuming no Haze or burns. Fire-types like Chandy, Ninetales, and Salazzle threaten it much more compared to having to take a potential Scald. On this note, I would like you to add a line about Gigalith that helps check these as well as Flamethrower Noivern.

You should also add a small line on partners that deal with Lucario because you are set up bait for it.
1/2 when done

evs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 200 SpD 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD QC decided this spread is optimal considering Escav's need to switch in on mainly special moves like Moonblast, Leaf Storm etc.

[SET COMMENTS] The order of sentences regarding Escav's moves isn't right here. Please adjust it to reflect the order seen in the set. (Knock Off sentence -> SD sentence -> Protect sentence -> CC sentence)
Excellent typing, a decent ability in Overcoat, and great defensive stats allows Escavalier to check threats such as Celebi and Sleep Powder (just to emphasize Overcoat a bit more) Roserade, making it a good defensive pivot. Swords Dance boosts Escavalier's Attack to huge levels, allowing it to serve as a dangerous wallbreaker towards common defensive Pokemon such as Bronzong. Protect scouts for Choice locked Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Chandelure. I'd also bring up that it can allow Escav to scout for Fire-type coverage on foes like Noivern and Necrozma. Knock Off cripples Pokemon such as Doublade and Mantine, while also preventing Chandelure from walling Escavalier. Close Combat hits Pokemon such as Incineroar, Cobalion, and Lucario. 56 Attack with an Adamant nature gives a jump point, while the rest of the EVs are dumped into HP and Special Defense to maximize Escavalier's bulk, allowing it to take on threats such as Rotom-C better. Provide a new sentence to reflect the new spread you've been given.

Due to a lack of reliable recovery, teammates who can provide Wish support such as Umbreon and Vaporeon make great teammates. Bring up some other bulky Water-type checks in an additional sentence here. Heliolisk and Noivern (specifically categorize these as pivots for clarity) can bring Escavalier in safely against Roserade and Umbreon. Gigalith checks Chandelure, Ninetales, and Noivern, while benefiting from Escavalier countering Roserade. Escavalier cannot touch Lucario without Close Combat, so Pokemon such as Jellicent, Mantine, and Chandelure also make good partners. I'd like a specific sentence on Fire-type checks.

Excellent typing, a decent ability in Overcoat, and great defensive stats allows allow Escavalier to check threats such as Celebi and Sleep Powder Roserade, making it a good defensive pivot. Knock Off cripples Pokemon such as Doublade and Mantine (RC) while also preventing Chandelure from walling Escavalier. Alternatively,(AC) Protect scouts for Choice-locked(AH) Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Chandelure (RC) while allowing and allows Escavalier to scout for Fire-type coverage on foes such as Noivern and Necrozma. Close Combat is another possible option that hits Pokemon such as Incineroar, Cobalion, and Lucario. Maximum HP and Special Defense investment helps Escavalier to better take on threats such as Rotom-C and Gardevoir better.
