Escavalier is a great tank that takes advantage of its great bulk, excellent defensive typing, and ability to perform the role as a defensive pivot and check top-tier threats such as Kyurem and Jirachi. Knock Off cripples Escavalier's typical switch-ins such as Skarmory, Noivern, and Mantine, prevents it from getting walled by Doublade, and OHKOes non-Heavy Duty Boots variants of Chandelure after Stealth Rock damage. Close Combat is preferred over Protect to immediately pressure checks like Cobalion, Incineroar, and Bisharp. Protect allows Escavalier to accumulate extra turns of Leftovers recovery and scout Choice-locked Pokemon like Mienshao, Keldeo, and Chandelure. It also allows it to scout Fire-type coverage moves on foes like Jirachi, Noivern, and Necrozma. However, sacrificing Close Combat leaves it vulnerable to Cobalion, losing momentum in the progress that Cobalion can use to set up with Swords Dance. Overcoat is a useful ability to allow Escavalier to check Roserade consistently, granting it an immunity to Sleep Powder and Stun Spore. With the given EV spread, Escavalier outspeeds uninvested base 30 Speed Pokemon like Slowking and Reuniclus and survives a +2 Close Combat from Cobalion, with a good amount of special bulk to blanket check special attackers like Jirachi, Kyurem, and Heliolisk.

Clerics such as Sylveon and Umbreon are excellent partners for Escavalier, as they can mitigate Escavalier's lack of reliable recovery and keep it healthy with Wish and Heal Bell support. The former also handles Fighting-types and appreciates Escavalier checking Roserade and Magneton, while the latter can deal with Chandelure and Necrozma better, which both force Escavalier out. It can also deal with Fire Punch Jirachi variants, which can potentially lure in Jirachi if it doesn't scout. Moreover, they both can cover Escavalier's weakness to Noivern, which Escavalier finds very hard to switch into. Fighting-types like Keldeo and Terrakion benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types like Slowking and Celebi. In particular, Keldeo makes a great partner, as it is able to deal with Ground- and Fire-types like Krookodile, Palossand, and Incineroar. Teammates that can deter bulky Water-types that Escavalier is weak to like defensive Milotic and Tentacruel pair well. Nasty Plot Celebi can take advantage of both of them, using them as setup fodder, while Roserade can give support via Spikes and cripple Pokemon with Sleep Powder like Skarmory and Noivern. Escavalier's vulnerability to entry hazards detriments its ability to act as a defensive pivot, so having entry hazard control from the likes of Rotom-W and Galarian Weezing alleviates this issue. Escavalier also appreciates both of them checking Skarmory so it doesn't get used as setup fodder; the former can also pressure Fire-types like Incineroar and Talonflame. Noivern is a good partner for Escavalier, checking several of the tier's potent setup sweepers like Calm Mind Keldeo, Heracross, and Doublade. Noivern can bring in Escavalier on typical checks with U-turn like special variants of Jirachi, Tyranitar, and Slowking and take off pressure.

Escavalier is a great tank that takes advantage of its great bulk, excellent defensive typing, and ability to perform the role as a defensive pivot to check top-threats such as Kyurem and Jirachi. Knock Off cripples Escavalier’s typical switch-ins such as Skarmory, Doublade, and Mantine, as well as not getting walled by Chandelure. Doublade falls under this same category as Chandelure, a mon that would wall it otherwise so this needs to be fixed. Perhaps specify it can OHKO non-boots sets after SR damage with Knock Off instead for example. Close Combat is preferred over Protect to immediately pressure checks like Cobalion, Incineroar, and Lucario. Lucario's usage has fallen off substantially, I'd use Bisharp or PZ instead. Protect allows Escavalier to accumulate extra turns of Leftovers recovery and scout Choice-locked Pokemon like Mienshao, Heliolisk, I believe we are removing Choice locked Heliolisk when it gets written, change this to Keldeo for now. and Chandelure. It also allows it to scout Fire-type coverage on foes like Jirachi, Noivern, and Necrozma. Overcoat is a useful ability to allows it to check Roserade and Celebi consistently. Celebi does not use any powder moves for Overcoat to be a factor in whether it checks it or not. Roserade is really the only thing it helps with. With the given EV spread, Escavalier outspeeds uninvested base 30 Speed Pokemon like Slowking and Reuniclus, survive a +2 Close Combat from Cobalion, with a good amount of special bulk to blanket check special Pokemon like Kyurem, Starmie, and Heliolisk. You aren't that consistent of a Starmie response as a mid role Analytic Hydro Pump into another KOs. With hazards that role becomes worse. I'd just mention special variants of Jirachi instead.

Clerics such as Sylveon and Umbreon are excellent partners for Escavalier, as they can mitigate Escavalier’s lack of reliable recovery and keep it healthy with Wish and Heal Bell support. The former also handles Fighting-types and appreciates Escavalier checking Roserade and Jirachi for it, while the latter can deal with Chandelure and Necrozma better, which both force Escavalier out. Specify that they check Noivern because this is something Escav struggles to do much against. Similarly, Jirachi can keep Escavalier healthy with Wish while simultaneously luring Skarmory in with Thunder. Realistically you are probably never stacking these two. Fighting-types like Keldeo and Terrakion benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types like Slowking and Celebi. In particular, Keldeo makes a great partner as they are able to deal with Ground- and Fire-types like Krookodile, Incineroar, and Palossand. Swords Dance Terrakion can act as a Knock Off sponge and get boosts via Justified so that Escavalier can remain healthy for the remainder of the game by allowing it to keep its Leftovers. This isn't really necessary to state Teammates that can deter Escavalier’s weakness to bulky Water-types like Rotom-W and Tentacruel pair well. Celebi and Reuniclus can both take advantage of them, allowing it to be used as set-up fodder. Escavalier’s vulnerability to potential Stealth Rock and Spikes detriments its ability to act as an defensive pivot, so having Hazard Control from the likes of Noivern and Mantine Rotom-W and Galarian Weezing (While Noivern is fine it has moved away as a defog user for the most part and Mantine is a lot more niche) You can expand on how both of these can beat Skarmory for Escav. benefit it greatly. Escavalier also appreciates Noivern as an offensive pivot, checking several of the tier’s potent set-up sweepers like Calm Mind Keldeo, Heracross, and Doublade; if running Flamethrower, allowing Escavalier to come into battle safely.

Knock Off cripples Escavalier’s typical switch-ins such as Skarmory, Doublade, Noivern, (you mention doublade in the next thing so no reason to double up) and Mantine, as well as not getting walled by Doublade and OHKOing non-Heavy Duty Boots variants of Chandelure after Stealth Rock damage. It also allows it to scout Fire-type coverage on foes like Jirachi, Noivern, and Necrozma. emphasise how much it SUCKS to be totally walled by things like cobalion here, it makes it a lot harder for escav to make progress and can give dangerous things like sd coba free turns Overcoat is a useful ability to allows it to check Roserade consistently, granting it an immunity to Sleep Powder. With the given EV spread, Escavalier outspeeds uninvested base 30 Speed Pokemon like Slowking and Reuniclus, survive a +2 Close Combat from Cobalion, with a good amount of special bulk to blanket check special Pokemon attackers like Jirachi, Kyurem, and Heliolisk.

The former also handles Fighting-types and appreciates Escavalier checking Roserade and Jirachi for it, while the latter can deal with Chandelure and Necrozma better, which both force Escavalier out. Fighting-types like Keldeo and Terrakion benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types like Slowking and Celebi. In particular, Keldeo makes a great partner as they are able to deal with Ground- and Fire-types like Krookodile, Incineroar, and Palossand. Teammates that can deter Escavalier’s weakness to bulky Water-types like Rotom-W idk abt this mention, rotom-w is not really a great escav switch in bc megahorn does 50 million, maybe replace this w/ milotic or mantine and Tentacruel pair well. Celebi and Reuniclus Roserade (reuni *kinda* takes advantage of rotom? but tenta just hazes you and so does milotic/mantine so i'd rather you put a grass type or electric type here, you can replace this w/ like mowtom or heliolisk or whatever if you want, roserade just works bc you can spike on them) can both take advantage of them, allowing it to be used as set-up fodder. Escavalier’s vulnerability to potential Stealth Rock and Spikes you can just say entry hazards detriments its ability to act as a defensive pivot, so having Hazard Control from the likes of Rotom-W and Galarian Weezing, alleviate this issue. It also appreciates both of them pressuring Skarmory so it doesn't use it Escavalier (kind of a gp change but it was a little unclear) as set-up fodder. Escavalier appreciates Noivern as an offensive pivot, checking several of the tier’s potent set-up sweepers like Calm Mind Keldeo, Heracross, and Doublade; if running Flamethrower, noiv w/o flamethrower sucks and it's not slashed with anything else on the updated analysis so you can remove that mention allowing Escavalier to come into battle safely.

The former also handles Fighting-types and appreciates Escavalier checking Roserade and Jirachi for it, while the latter can deal with Chandelure and Necrozma better, which both force Escavalier out. Mention how Umbreon can also deal with Fire Punch Jirachi variants, and generally takes pressure off of Escavalier in dealing with Jirachi alone. They both deal with Noivern which is a huge problem for Escavalier to deal with otherwise. Fighting-types like Keldeo and Terrakion benefit from Escavalier checking Psychic-types like Slowking and Celebi. In particular, Keldeo makes a great partner as they are able to deal with Ground- and Fire-types like Krookodile, Incineroar, and Palossand. Teammates that can deter Escavalier’s weakness to bulky Water-types like defensive Milotic (specify defensive here, competitive milotic makes up a lot of Milotic's usage lately and tends to get very easily overwhelmed by Escavalier, while the grass types u mention later also can struggle to come into it consistently, especially Roserade with its lack of recovery) and Tentacruel pair well. Celebi and Roserade can both take advantage of them, allowing it to be used as set-up fodder. only Celebi uses it as set up fodder and only nasty plot sets, you can comment on Roserade's spikes support, and how Roserade can cripple some of their shared checks like Skarmory/Noivern with Sleep Powder if you want to add something extra apart from spikes. Escavalier’s vulnerability to potential entry hazards detriments its ability to act as a defensive pivot, so having Hazard Control from the likes of Rotom-W and Galarian Weezing, alleviate this issue. It also appreciates both of them pressuring Skarmory so it doesn't use Escavalier as set-up fodder. you should also comment on how Rotom-Wash can help pressure Incineroar and Talonflame for Escav. Escavalier appreciates Noivern as an offensive pivot, checking several of the tier’s potent set-up sweepers like Calm Mind Keldeo, Heracross, and Doublade, allowing Escavalier to come into battle safely. This sentence feels a bit misordered like suggesting it checking those set up sweepers is why it can come in safely, just split this up and say how it does that + how Noivern offers pivoting support by bringing Escav in on stuff like Slowking and Jirachi with U-turn.
