Today we have a battle between the newcomer ZamasuV2 and the returning veteran EspyOwner. Espy has chosen a lone Poliwag to represent his team; unfortunately, his opponent came equipped with a larger team of two and has selected the one which stands to threaten the tadpole with its super-effective STAB. Sensing the danger, Poliwag spits a stream of mud at Pichu, matting its fur with thick clods in an attempt to maintain its speed advantage. This precaution is soon proved just, as Pichu charges forward and rolls across Poliwag, crippling its foe with static electricity. Despite its preparations to counterattack, Poliwag finds itself unable to move its numb form, allowing Pichu a perfect opportunity to deliver a minor shock. With its paralysis clearing, Poliwag summons a geyser of magma and terrain underneath Pichu's feat, engulfing the mouse in a wave of fiery earth. Nevertheless, Pichu remains fairly healthy, striking back with an additional zap and securing the advantage for ZamasuV2. Now it's Espy's turn to sieze the initiative, but his ailing Pokemon may throw a wrench in his plans. Stay tuned.

Fighting off immobilization, Poliwag sprays a second burst of mud at Pichu, thickening its earthy shackles. With no signs of stopping, Pichu retaliates with a third minor bolt, stinging Poliwag's belly. Poliwag conjures the power of the earth once more, sending plumes of ruptured ground at Pichu, who discharges yet another shocking blast. Angered by its foe's determination, Poliwag sends another wave of magma toward Pichu, hoping to finish the weakened mouse. Nevertheless, Pichu charges through the molten material, sustaining minor damage as it tackles Poliwag with a paralyzing embrace. This battle is nearly finished, and Espy is poised to claim victory. However, luck will unavoidably play a part in the outcome, so stay tuned for the conclusion.

Gritting its teeth, Pichu builds an enormous static charge within its body, crackling with lightning as it focuses its energy. The disabled Poliwag struggles to move, knowing it must act immediately to cinch the fight. Thus, with a grand demonstration, Poliwag channels heavenly power to incite the earth's wrath once more, forcing open a ring of fissures surrounding Pichu's feet. Although time seems to stand still as the burning fury bubbles upward and illuminates the earthen crevices, the condensed energy rockets into the air in a magnificent, cataclysmic spray, smiting Pichu with a smothering blanket of fire and brimstone. Unable to withstand the attack, Pichu falls unconscious, harmlessly discharging its energy as it hits the ground amidst a simmering pool of mud and rock. EspyOwner has won this battle, his Poliwag standing victorious in the ruined field, and earns a modest prize irrelevant to his placing. Tune in next time for more action.
