EV Training at 100?

I got a level 100 Shiny Yanmega in a trade, and believe it or not it seems legit. However, it was EV trained differently from how I would have EV trained it. Would I still be able to retrain it?

No, unfortunately. Thats why you should avoid trading for level 100 monsters, since you won't be able to change their EV Spread. You'll have to stick with the one thats already on it.

If you try and use EV reducing berries, you'll permanently erase EV's, so better just stick with the one already on it.

If you can't gain Experience Points, you can't gain EVs. So, you can lose EVs by using berries, you can gain EVs from using Vitamins, but you can't raise a stat beyond 100 EVs by EV training.

Also it would help to find out exactly what EVs you had to start with, in order to work under these limitations.

It actually looks like someone used HP ups to retrain it. None of Attack, Defense, or Sp. Def took more than one berry to erase. I'm a bit disappointed though. It's only got 299 Special Attack out of 364 and 255 Speed out of 317.

Surely you could just place it in the box after it gets the EVs? (Stats are re-calculated when you place pokémon in the box)

I think you can use Vitamins to give it a balanced "100 EVs in everything", but that's all you can do. Use it as breeding fodder.
