Even More UU

I've always loved the UU metagame, and have had successes as well as tons of fun with a variety of teams. It's been a while since I posted a new team, but this one needs a tad bit of work in terms of synergy [plus I'm DYING to get magmortar far far away]

With the recent changes, I was thinking about switching out Magmortar for a nice Porygon-Z or Altaria. Either that or something bulky that sets up rocks. But I'll leave that for the smogon populous to decide.

[[[CHANGES WILL BE DONE IN GREEN]]]

Without further ado...

kangaskhan.png

Mama (Kangaskhan) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- Focus Punch
- Ice Punch
- Yawn

This set leads to some very confused opponents. Fake Out flinches anything, dealing ~30% or so to lead Froslass. Ambipom outspeeds me, but yawn causes a force switch which leads to a focus punch. Ice Punch is there for flyers like Swellow who brushes off fighting moves.

rotom.png

Sparky (Rotom) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/128 Def /166 Speed /128 Spd/84 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Charge Beam
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball

Rotom is a guy who has proved useful in certain situations. Switching into a normal or fighting atk is always a plus, and can cause a free sub is a switch is necessary. Like a mini-Raikou, Rotom gets nice boosts from Charge Beam, which proceed to pump up HP Fighting for steels and rocks as well as Shadow Ball for Claydol and other Ghosts. EVs are a little weird, I know, but I'm attempting to make this guy take more than 1 or 2 hits. With the sub and these EV's, Rotom's been able to survive, get Wish support, and fight another day.

venusaur.png

Reefer (Venusaur) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 236 HP/20 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Talk
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Yes. Venusaur is a pokemon who I've used in a few teams, but this CS one always manages to KO 1-2 consistently. Opponents always seem to predict a Sleep Powder or a Swords Dance to set up, and end up getting a mouthful of Leaf Storm. Sludge Bomb and Leaf Storm for STAB, Sleep Talk to absorb sleep [although apparently after one Talk, it fails...?], HP Ice for some extra coverage and such.

milotic.png

Dawn (Milotic) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 148 HP/252 Def/108 SAtk
Bold nature (-Atk, +Def)
-Confuse Ray
-Ice Beam
-Recover
-Surf

Switched this in for Magmortar, as per suggestion, and things have been looking up. A bulky water works great in tandem with Umbreon's high sp.def and helps cover some of Venusaur, Rotom, and Kangaskhan hits that could deal way too much damage. Marvel Scale is an ability I have come to love, for it means [to a certain degree] Milotic can "absorb" status. Confuse Ray also helps in force switches, which can give me either a free hit or a free recover.

umbreon.png

Dahkness (Umbreon) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP/6 Spd/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Wish
- Payback
- Protect
- Toxic

This has been a staple on my UU teams since Umbreon got bumped down, and has acted as a great toxi-stall poke while taking hits away from Rotom and Venusaur. It does give me another Fighting weakness, but I could still get a Toxic or Wish in and swap Rotom or Venusaur in. [I've noticed that those 3 pokemon work decently together, with the others providing nice support]. Payback is nice since Umbreon's speed isn't spectacular.

hitmonlee.png

Legstrong (Hitmonlee) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Limber
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Mach Punch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Not gonna lie, this thing can pull of a very nice late-game sweep. While fragile, and even more-so with LO, Hitmonlee packs a wallop with CC and EQ. Stone Edge is there for coverage, although gets lets use than Mach Punch. Umbreon and Hitmonlee provide interesting synergy together, as Umbreon covers Lee's weak points [immunity to psychic and high sp.def], Umbreon can also Wish-heal Lee to gain back some health from LO loss.

I only have enough time for a quick rate. just skimming through it you look very SDgatr weak. One way to fix this is to get rid of magmortar for a bulky water or make your rotom a little bit more bulkier.

The reason it fails after one Sleep Talk is that Sleep Talk uses one of your other attacks, meaning you can only select that attack, not Sleep Talk. Choice Specs force you to select the most recently used move, assuming you've used a move after aquiring a choice item (Via Trick, perhaps)

Just one nitpick on your comments on Ambipom leads. Won't they U-Turn when you Yawn, breaking the Focus Punch, or does U-Turn also carry Yawn over or something?

Aside from that, maybe try Light Screen over Confuse Ray on Milotic? While I understand the merits of Confuse Ray for forcing switches, but you lack any form of Spikes or Stealth Rock to really take advantage of the switches. It also might make it easier for Venusaur or Rotom to come in and fight another day, makes Rotom's subs harder to break, and might just be overall useful? I'm not really sure about what threatens this team much, but it seems like Confuse Ray forcing switches isn't utilized very heavily here.
