mayor not claiming today confirms them being mafia too

and yes, doctor and tracker should claim results

wow it’s a new day!!! Totally no dead corpses…

Anyways, why was laurel murdered? I only saw them make like 1 post and it was about accusing LN, it was why I jumped on the LN train

I voted for dbd and ln bc they were the only people being voted for where it wasn’t bc they were inactive

Idk I just don’t like voting for people bc their inactive, feel like if you’re vanilla town you would pay less attention to the game, that’s what happened in most real life experiences for me

I am probably wrong though

but anyways now that we got that out of the way and mafia took my bait yesterday to not claim mayor, now whoever has the mayor role has a 1/2 chance of being town, and whoever they pass their role to has 1/2 chance of being town too, even higher id say since we know that it wouldnt be mafia passing mafia the mayor role

This is also an important mech interaction, so considering that mafia didnt see this mech interaction I'll also townlean more people experienced with mechs (LN and Celever) if we dont assume they didnt assume I would find out that mech

this looks comically ironic given the second post but can you explain that mech Peum idk what you're talking about lol
uh

Ok, so we've got a chain of three people, Person1-Person2-Person3, as I explained yesterday, them not being able to pass a role to their mafia partner twice makes it so that this chain ^ has an obligatory town on it, Phoopes asked yesterday if there was a way for mafia to mess with this mech confirmation, so I baited mafia by telling him that not claiming their role would be a way, but doing that makes it so that in turn we have Person1-Person2-Person3, considering that one of them is for default town, it makes it so that either Person2 or Person3 is always town, converting a 1/3 into a 1/2.

oh gotcha

somehow I just missed all that yesterday lol I didn't know mafia couldn't pass powers to themselves twice

that's great game design gj Alice

this has the vibe of a balance I'd add during game design review and then forget about but maybe Alice just had the rule from the start lmao

After yesterday where I misread something, I went and reread the rules, as well as asked a few questions. I'll put the highlights below.
  • First off, not only can the person with protect target other people, but they are also incapable of self-targeting.
  • You cannot use an action two times in a row, meaning you get nothing except the ability to pass the role again if the person you try to pass to dies. Most people realized, but you also must use an ability if you have at least one, and you can only use 4 over the course of the game.
  • We know nothing about how the roles were initially distributed. We don't even know if they were guaranteed to start with different people.
  • The mayors extra votes will be made obvious in the official vote counts. This means that either the person that was the mayor didn't use their ability last night (only possible if they had more than 1 role), or the mayor was ElectricityCat.
  • Scum can only pass any ability amongst themselves once. If one person passed to a scum member night one, no scum could ever pass a role to another scum again.
  • If a roled person dies (like during the day), the role will be passed randomly to another person.

Basically, there is reason to not role claim the day of (minus mayor), but I don't think there's a reason to not role claim the day after. I was nothing yesterday, does anyone want to come forward?

i dont think so

  • if they receive a role they can use it but they as a whole can only pass each action to an ally once per game.
each action seems pretty clear that they have a self-pass per action

this is really big though, surely ecat is the vote cause of this

  • They have access to a factional kill per night. It can be carried by any member with no limitation. The factional kill is the only action that can be idled.
  • I assumed this counted as a role. (help I dont know how to remove the ·)

I think the Mayor doesn’t work like that, right? You wouldn’t see it reflected in the votecount unless there’s a tie and the Mayor is involved in one of those votes. Am I wrong?
