[OVERVIEW]

Excadrill's ability to compress many roles make it one of the most unique Pokemon in OU. It can be both a hazard setter or hazard remover while also being a sweeper. Excadrill's typing can allow it to check Electric-types such as Tapu Koko and Fairy-types such as Calm Mind Clefable, though it has to worry about Flamethrower from the latter. Its Strong STAB combination in Earthquake and Iron Head can hit a majority of the tier neutrally. Access to Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock allow it to be a hazard setter or hazard control. Excadrill has 2 great abilities in Sand Rush and Mold Breaker allow it to fulfill different roles and be very versatile. Sand Rush can outspeed almost everything in the tier and become a fearsome sweeper on sand teams, while Mold Breaker can bypass Levitate from Hydreigon and Latios allowing it to more freely spam Earthquake. Excadrill outside of sand is relatively slow, outsped by many common Pokemon such as Garchomp, Volcarona, and Landorus-T. Despite the High HP, Excadrill is also very frail and is susceptible to be easily revenge killed by strong hits and priority such as Aqua Jet from Urshifu-R and Grassy Glide from Rillaboom.

ability: Sand Rush
nature: Jolly / Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]

Sand Rush alongside Swords Dance allows Excadrill to be a very strong and very fast sweeper. Rapid Spin gives Excadrill a Speed boost and clears entry hazards. Excadrill can Rapid Spin on many Fairy-types such as Clefable. Rock Slide is an alternative to Rapid Spin for coverage against Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, Pelipper, Zapdos, and Mandibuzz. Toxic can cripple many checks to Excadrill like Slowbro and Mandibuzz. Leftovers is the main item, due to having extra recovery every turn, Life Orb can jack up the power of Earthquake to be able to 2HKO Blissey, and Air Balloon can let Excadrill pivot on Ground-type moves and be unaffected by Spikes. Jolly is the preferred nature over Adamant, to remain faster than Heatran, Nidoking, and Tapu Fini outside of sand. Adamant allows Excadrill to 2HKO Swords Dance Garchomp.

Tyranitar is the most common sand setter for Excadrill, allowing it to activate Sand Rush and start its sweep. Tyranitar checks many threats to Excadrill such as Kyurem and Heatran, while Excadrill can check Tapu Koko and Calm Mind Clefable for Tyranitar. It can also set up Stealth Rock to soften up Pokemon for Excadrill to get Easier KOs. Hippowdon is an alternative Sand Stream setter, as it has great synergy with Excadrill. It can switch into opposing Excadrill and recover health with Slack Off. Unfortunately, it is more passive and doesn't have coverage vs Ground immune Pokemon. Other sand users can be paired along side Excadrill such as Sand Rush Dracozolt and Sand Veil Garchomp. Dracozolt is great at helping Excadrill break through checks such as Mandibuzz, Slowbro, and Corviknight. Excadrill can use Toxic to bait in Hippowdon and Landorus-Therian and cripple them which can let Dracozolt clean easily. Grass-types such as Tangrowth, Ferrothorn, can check the stacked Water-type weakness from the sand core. Choice Scarf Tapu Lele can be a great check to some of Excadrill's best checks such as Defensive Garchomp and Landorus-T, allowing Excadrill to have an easier time sweeping. Mandibuzz can check Grass- and Ground-types, while also removing Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers with Knock Off, and providing hazard control if Excadrill is not running Rapid Spin. Mandibuzz can also check opposing Excadrill by hitting it with a strong STAB Foul Play to turn the tides on the Swords Dance boosts. Tornadus-T is another Flying-type that can provide hazard control and Knock Off, and the ability to run an offensive Nasty Plot set.

[SET]
name: Utility
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Toxic / Swords Dance
move 4: Stealth Rock / Rapid Spin
item: Leftovers
ability: Mold Breaker
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Utility Excadrill can use support options such as Toxic to cripple fat walls such as Mandibuzz, Tangrowth, and Slowbro, that would otherwise check Excadrill. It can run Stealth Rock to set entry hazards for its teammates, or Rapid Spin to provide hazard removal. Mold Breaker can be used to Earthquake Levitate Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Latios, and Hydreigon and use status moves in front of Hatterene's Magic Bounce. Mold Breaker also allows Excadrill to ignore Unaware from Quagsire and can hit it with a boosted Earthquake. Excadrill can take advantage of its already high HP and Attack by running max Special Defense, to check common special attackers such as Calm Mind Clefable and Tapu Koko. Swords Dance is an alternative Toxic, allowing Excadrill to patch up its lower attack due to running max Special Defense.

Excadrill is a good fit on balance teams due to its hazard control. Fast pivots such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Choice Specs Dragapult appreciate being able to pivot freely without worrying about hazards due to Excadrill removing them with Rapid Spin. Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Amoongus can help deal with Excadrill's Water-type weakness and shrug it off due to Regenerator. They can benefit from Excadrill removing hazards with Rapid Spin to pivot easier. Heatran can help with Excadrill's Fire-type weakness, handle Corviknight, as well as be an alternative Stealth Rock setter. Excadrill can Toxic checks to Heatran such as Slowking, allowing Heatran to freely use trap other Pokemon such Melmetal and Toxapex. Toxapex and Clefable are common checks to Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R as well as providing support in Toxic Spikes, Aromatherapy or Wish. Clefable can Teleport on its checks such Melmetal and Toxapex, allowing Excadrill to fire off a strong Earthquake to handle them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Choice Band is an option on Sand Rush, but the ability to switch moves is much preferred over the immediate power or Choice Band, as Excadrill can be exploited for locking into its strongest move by common Flying-types like Tornadus-T and Landorus-T, which can set up on it. Excadrill’s utility and passive recovery from Leftovers is also lost. A Suicide Lead with Focus Sash, Stealth Rock, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, and Steel Beam is an option for hyper offensive teams, but is outclassed as a suicide lead by Landorus-T which has a powerful Explosion, and Mew which has Taunt and Explosion. High Horsepower can be used over Earthquake to avoid Grassy Terrain weakening Excadrill's main STAB move. However, its imperfect accuracy and reduced power can be undesirable in other situations.

Checks and Counters
====

**Flying-Types**: Corviknight, Skarmory, and Landorus-T are nearly perfect counters to Excadrill, due to being immune to Earthquake and not worrying about Excadrill's coverage. With the former two having Roost, while the latter has Intimidate to weaken Excadrill further. Zapdos can threaten a paralysis on a Rapid Spin attempt, but it must watch out for Rock Slide.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Hippowdon, defensive Garchomp, and Landorus-T, are common switch-ins to Excadrill, due to pressuring it with their Ground STAB. However, if Excadrill is holding an Air Balloon, they can become set up fodder. They must watch out for Toxic as well.

**Water-Types**: Slowbro and Rotom-W are great checks to Sand Rush Excadrill, having good physical bulk and resisting the Steel typing, and Rotom-W being immune to Earthquake. Slowbro has to worry about Toxic, Rotom-W has to worry about Mold Breaker.

**Grass-Types**: Tangrowth can switch into Earthquake and shrug off the hits with Regenerator. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain, weakening Earthquake, and OHKOing Excadrill with Grassy Glide, but it cannot safely switch into Toxic or a boosted Iron Head.

**Priority**: Since Excadrill is very frail, it is vulnerable to many common priority attacks such as Aqua Jet from Urshifu-R, and Grassy Glide from Rillaboom, and Sucker Punch from Bisharp.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Due to Excadrill's ability to compress many roles, make it one of the most unique Pokemon in OU.
  • Its typing can allow it to check many Fairy-types such as Tapu Lele and Clefable, and Electric-types such as Tapu Koko and Regieleki. I think Regieleki is too niche to mention, and the only remotely viable set doesn't use an Electric-type move.
  • Strong STAB in Earthquake and Iron Head can hit a majority of the tier super effectively neutrally, I assume this is what you meant? bar Zapdos, A common Pokemon that resists these moves Corviknight and Skarmory.
  • Access to Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock allow it to be a hazard setter and hazard control in the same Pokemon.
  • 2 great abilities in Sand Rush and Mold Breaker allow it to fulfill different roles and be very versatile.
  • Sand Rush can outspeed almost everything in the tier, besides Choice Scarf Dragapult Not common, so it can be under "almost everything" , and become a fearsome sweeper on sand teams.
  • Mold Breaker can bypass Levitate from Hydreigon, Latios, Rotom-H, and Rotom-W allowing it to more freely spam Earthquake. It can also set up Stealth Rock or Toxic in front of Hatterene's Magic Bounce. I think this Pokemon is too niche to need to mention this in the overview.
  • Excadrill outside of sand is relatively slow, outsped by many common Pokemon such as Garchomp, Volcarona, and Landorus-T.

  • Sand Rush alongside Swords Dance allows Excadrill to be a very strong and very fast sweeper.
  • Earthquake and Iron Head are the strongest STAB to deal the most damage. Fluff, you don't have to explain this.
  • The 4th move is between Rapid Spin, which gives a Speed boost and clears hazards, Rock Slide for coverage against Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, Pelipper, Zapdos, Moltres, Not really relevant right now and you have enough examples. and Mandibuzz.
  • Leftovers is the main item, due to having extra recovery every turn, Life Orb can jack up the power of the attacks, and Air Balloon can let Excadrill pivot on Ground-type moves and be unaffected by Spikes.
  • Jolly is the preferred nature over Adamant, to remain faster than Rotom-H, Rotom-W, Nidoking, and Tapu Fini outside of sand. Adamant allows Excadrill to 2HKO Swords Dance Garchomp.

  • Tyranitar and Excadrill have been common sand partners ever since Black and White and this generation is no different. I don't think you're supposed to refer to the past. Tyranitar can bait in Landorus-T and Garchomp and KO them with Ice Beam. Tyranitar can also set up Stealth Rock to soften up Pokemon for Excadrill to get Easier KOs. Hippowdon should be mentioned here, the other viable sand setter, and say that one of them is necessary.
  • Other sand users can be paired along side Excadrill such as Dracozolt and Sand Veil Garchomp. Dracozolt should get more detail, as it's great at helping with checks like Slowbro, Mandibuzz and Corviknight.
  • Grass-types such as Tangrowth, Ferrothorn, and Rillaboom can be a good good what? for checking the stacked Water weakness.
  • Choice Scarf Tapu Lele can be a great check to some of Excadrill's best checks such as Garchomp and Landorus-T, allowing Excadrill to have an easier time sweeping.
  • Mandibuzz can check Grass- and Ground-types, while also removing Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers with Knock Off, and providing hazard control if Excadrill is not running Rapid Spin.
  • Tornadus-T is another Flying-type that can provide hazard control and Knock Off, with the ability to run an offensive Nasty Plot set, with Weather Ball Rock to check Kyurem.

  • Excadrill takes full advantage of its defensive typing and utility with this set.
  • Utility Excadrill can use more support options such as Toxic to cripple fat walls such as Mandibuzz, Tangrowth, and Slowbro, that would otherwise check Excadrill. It can also run Stealth Rock to provide hazards for its teammates
  • Mold Breaker can be used to use said status moves in front of Hatterene and Earthquake Levitate Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Latios, and Hydreigon. I think the bit about Magic Bounce can stay in this section though.
  • Excadrill can take advantage of its high HP and Attack by running max Special Defense, to check common special attackers such as Tapu Lele, Dragapult, and Tapu Koko.
  • Swords Dance is an alternative to patch up Excadrill's low I think you meant to say this? attack due to running max Special Defense.

  • This set of Excadrill can fit on more balance teams due to Excadrill's hazard control and typing
  • Fast pivots such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Tornadus-T and Tapu Koko appreciate being able to pivot freely without worrying about hazards due to Excadrill removing them with Rapid Spin.
  • Fat Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Amoongus can help deal with Excadrill's Water-type weakness and shrug it off due to Regenerator.
  • Heatran can help with Excadrill's Fire-type weakness, handle Corviknight, as well as be an alternative Stealth Rock setter.
  • Toxapex and Clefable are common checks to Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R Even now Urshifu-S isn't in the tier, you are meant to say which one, as well as providing support in Toxic Spikes, Aromatherapy or Wish.

Just to explain why you want to switch moves.
  • A Suicide Lead with Focus Sash, Stealth Rock, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, and Steel Beam is an option for hyper offensive teams You might want to say this as you wouldn't use it on the same sort of team as the other sets, but is outclassed as a suicide lead by Landorus-T which has a powerful Explosion, and Mew Azelf Azelf isn't even ranked, these are which has Taunt and Explosion.
  • High Horsepower can be used over Earthquake to avoid Grassy Terrain weakening Excadrill's main STAB move. However, its imperfect accuracy and reduced power can be undesirable in other situations. Rillaboom is pretty common right now, and having your sweep prevented because the opponent has a 5% Rillaboom in the back that set up terrain can be frustrating.

**Flying-Types**: Corviknight, Skarmory, and Landorus-T are nearly perfect counters to Excadrill, due to not worrying about Excadrill's coverage. With the former two having Roost, while the latter has Intimidate to weaken Excadrill further.

**Water-Types**: Slowbro, Rotom-W, and Urshifu-R are great checks to Excadrill, resisting the Steel typing. Slowbro has to worry about Toxic, Rotom-W has to worry about Mold Breaker, and Urshifu has to not directly switch into Excadrill.

**Grass-Types**: Tangrowth can switch into Earthquake and shrug off the hits with Regenerator. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain, weakening Earthquake, and OHKOing Excadrill with Grassy Glide.

**Priority**: Since Excadrill is very frail, it is weak to many common priority attacks such as Aqua Jet from Azumarill and Definitely not "common" Urshifu-R, and Grassy Glide from Rillaboom, and Sucker Punch from Bisharp.

It does not usually run Weather Ball in Sand teams and it doesnt require that to check Kyurem as it usually carries Focus Blast, not to mention that a boosted Hurricane hurts a lot anyways.

[SET COMMENTS]

  • Excadrill takes full advantage of its defensive typing and utility with this set. How does it do so? C&C dislikes crossreferencing so this might be better removed.
Hatterene is also niche so not worth mentioning imo.
  • Excadrill can take advantage of its high HP and Attack by running max Special Defense, to check common special attackers such as Tapu Lele, Dragapult, and Tapu Koko. Cannot check Dragapult nor Tapu Lele since they both run super-effective coverage, mention Calm Mind Clefable instead.
  • Swords Dance is an alternative to patch up Excadrill's lower attack due to running max Special Defense. You can mention how its Mold Breaker can help against Unaware pokemon like Quagsire.

  • This set of Excadrill can fit on more balance teams due to Excadrill's hazard control and typing C&C dislikes crossreferencing, so this needs to be reworded to not be comparing it to the other set.
  • Fast pivots such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Tornadus-T and Tapu Koko appreciate being able to pivot freely without worrying about hazards due to Excadrill removing them with Rapid Spin. Tornadus-T nor Tapu Koko worry about Hazards since they run Heavy-Duty Boots.
  • Fat Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Amoongus can help deal with Excadrill's Water-type weakness and shrug it off due to Regenerator. Explain how they can benefit from Excadrills presence as well.
  • Heatran can help with Excadrill's Fire-type weakness, handle Corviknight, as well as be an alternative Stealth Rock setter. Explain synergy between the two, how they pair and what they do for each other not just what Heatram does for Excadrill.
  • Toxapex and Clefable are common checks to Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R 8as well as providing support in Toxic Spikes, Aromatherapy or Wish. Same thing as I said before.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

  • Choice Band is an option on Sand Rush, but the ability to switch moves is much preferred over the immediate power or Choice Band, as Excadrill can be exploited for locking into its strongest move by common Flying-types like Tornadus-T and Landorus-T, which can set up on it. Explain how this can take away Excadrills utility and that it loses out on passive recovery from Leftovers.
  • A Suicide Lead with Focus Sash, Stealth Rock, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, and Steel Beam is an option for hyper offensive teams, but is outclassed as a suicide lead by Landorus-T which has a powerful Explosion, and Mew these are which has Taunt and Explosion.
  • High Horsepower can be used over Earthquake to avoid Grassy Terrain weakening Excadrill's main STAB move. However, its imperfect accuracy and reduced power can be undesirable in other situations.

Checks and Counters
====

**Flying-Types**: Corviknight, Skarmory, and Landorus-T are nearly perfect counters to Excadrill, due to not worrying about Excadrill's coverage. With the former two having Roost, while the latter has Intimidate to weaken Excadrill further. Mentioning Zapdos here doesnt hurt, especially since it can threaten a paralyse on a Rapid Spin attempt.

**Water-Types**: Slowbro, Rotom-W, and Urshifu-R are great checks to Excadrill, resisting the Steel typing. Slowbro has to worry about Toxic, Rotom-W has to worry about Mold Breaker, and Urshifu-R has to not directly switch into Excadrill.

**Grass-Types**: Tangrowth can switch into Earthquake and shrug off the hits with Regenerator. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain, weakening Earthquake, and OHKOing Excadrill with Grassy Glide.

**Priority**: Since Excadrill is very frail, it is weak to many common priority attacks such as Aqua Jet from Urshifu-R, and Grassy Glide from Rillaboom, and Sucker Punch from Bisharp.

You could probably elaborate more on these points but the points themselves are fine imo. These points look fine.

Hope that helped
I would suggest implementing all these points and then I'll have a look at it.
EDIT: A couple of changes we've discussed on Discord. Comments and removals from me.

Getting better!

:bw/excadrill:

[OVERVIEW]
  • Excadrill's ability to compress many roles make it one of the most unique Pokemon in OU. It can be both a hazard setter and a hazard remover while also being a sweeper.
  • Its typing can allow it to check many You're not checking most other common Electric or Fairy types like Zeraora, Heat Wave Zapdos, Tapu Fini, or Tapu Lele, so this is misleading. Electric-types such as Tapu Koko and Fairy-types such as Calm Mind Clefable, though it has to worry about Knock Off or Trick from the utility sets. Flamethrower from the latter. This is more important to using Excadrill.
  • Strong STAB in Earthquake and Iron Head can hit a majority of the tier neutrally.
  • Access to Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock allow it to be a hazard setter or hazard control in the same Pokemon. Neither set includes using both together.
  • 2 great abilities in Sand Rush and Mold Breaker allow it to fulfill different roles and be very versatile.
  • Sand Rush can outspeed almost everything in the tier and become a fearsome sweeper on sand teams.
  • Mold Breaker can bypass Levitate from Hydreigon and Latios allowing it to more freely spam Earthquake.
  • Excadrill outside of sand is relatively slow, outsped by many common Pokemon such as Garchomp, Volcarona, and Landorus-T.
  • Despite the High HP, Excadrill is also very frail and is susceptible to be easily revenge killed by strong hits and priority such as Aqua Jet from Urshifu-R and Grassy Glide from Rillaboom.
[SET]

move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Swords Dance
move 4: Rapid Spin / Rock Slide / Toxic
item: Leftovers / Life Orb / Air Balloon
ability: Sand Rush
nature: Jolly / Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Sand Rush alongside Swords Dance allows Excadrill to be a very strong and very fast sweeper.
  • The 4th move is between Rapid Spin, which gives Excadrill a Speed boost and clears entry hazards. Excadrill can Rapid Spin on many Steel- and Fairy-types such as Melmetal It runs Earthquake. and Clefable. This sentence looked too long, and would only be longer with Toxic mentioned, so I'm separating it from Rock Slide. Also, the correct term is "entry hazards"
  • Rock Slide is an alternative to Rapid Spin for coverage against Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, Pelipper, Zapdos, and Mandibuzz.
  • Add a point about Toxic here, and what you can cripple with it, like Slowbro and Mandibuzz.
  • Leftovers is the main item, due to having extra recovery every turn to ease Excadrill's setup, There's no point in recovery if it doesn't do something Life Orb can jack up the power of the attacks to help with what?, and Air Balloon can let Excadrill pivot on Ground-type moves and be unaffected by Spikes.
  • Jolly is the preferred nature over Adamant, to remain faster than Heatran, Nidoking, and Tapu Fini outside of sand. Adamant allows Excadrill to 2HKO Swords Dance Garchomp.

  • Tyranitar can bait in Landorus-T and Garchomp and KO them with Ice Punch or Ice Beam. It doesn't commonly use these moves. You also mention nowhere in this point about it setting sand.
  • Hippowdon is an alternative Sand Stream setter, as it has great synergy with Excadrill. It can switch into opposing Excadrill and recover health with Slack Off. Unfortunately, It is more passive and doesn't have coverage vs Ground immune Pokemon.
  • Other sand users can be paired along side Excadrill such as Dracozolt and Sand Veil Garchomp. Dracozolt is also great at helping Excadrill break through checks such as Mandibuzz, Slowbro, and Corviknight. Excadrill can use Toxic to bait in Hippowdon and Landorus-Therian and cripple them which can let Dracozolt clean easily.
  • Grass-types such as Tangrowth, Ferrothorn, can check the stacked Water weakness from the sand core.
  • Choice Scarf Tapu Lele can be a great check to some of Excadrill's best checks such as Defensive Garchomp and Landorus-T, allowing Excadrill to have an easier time sweeping.
  • Mandibuzz can check Grass- and Ground-types, while also removing Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers with Knock Off, and providing hazard control if Excadrill is not running Rapid Spin. It can also check opposing Excadrill by hitting it with a strong STAB Foul Play to turn the tides on the Swords Dance boosts.
  • Tornadus-T is another Flying-type that can provide hazard control and Knock Off, or has You're not using both Defog and Nasty Plot together the ability to run an offensive Nasty Plot set.

[SET COMMENTS]

  • Utility Excadrill can use more support options such as Toxic to cripple fat walls such as Mandibuzz, Tangrowth, and Slowbro, that would otherwise check Excadrill.
  • It can also run Stealth Rock to set entry hazards for its teammates, or Rapid Spin to provide hazard removal. This point should be in a separate bullet to Toxic, as it talks about a different moveslot, and you don't mention Rapid Spin.
  • Mold Breaker can be used to use said status moves in front of Hatterene and Earthquake Levitate Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Latios, and Hydreigon. Mold Breaker also allows Excadrill to ignore Unaware from Quagsire and can hit it with a boosted Earthquake
  • Excadrill can take advantage of its high HP and Attack by running max Special Defense, to check common special attackers such as Calm Mind Clefable and Tapu Koko.
  • Swords Dance is an alternative to patch up Excadrill's lower attack due to running max Special Defense.

  • Excadrill is a good fit on more balance teams due to its hazard control. I mentioned about crossreferencing before, and this would remove it.
  • Fast pivots such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Choice Specs Dragapult Tornadus-T and Tapu Koko They use Heavy-Duty Boots so don't need it appreciate being able to pivot freely without worrying about hazards due to Excadrill removing them with Rapid Spin.
  • Fat Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Amoongus can help deal with Excadrill's Water-type weakness and shrug it off due to Regenerator. They can benefit from Excadrill removing hazards with Rapid Spin to pivot easier.
  • Heatran can help with Excadrill's Fire-type weakness, handle Corviknight, as well as be an alternative Stealth Rock setter. Excadrill can Toxic checks to Heatran such as Slowking, allowing Heatran to freely use trap other Pokemon such Melmetal and Toxapex.
  • Toxapex and Clefable are common checks to Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R as well as providing support in Toxic Spikes, Aromatherapy or Wish. Clefable can Teleport on its checks such Melmetal and Toxapex, allowing Excadrill to fire off a strong Earthquake to handle them.

  • Choice Band is an option on Sand Rush, but the ability to switch moves is much preferred over the immediate power or Choice Band, as Excadrill can be exploited for locking into its strongest move by common Flying-types like Tornadus-T and Landorus-T, which can set up on it. Excadrill’s utility and passive recovery from Leftovers is also lost.
  • A Suicide Lead with Focus Sash, Stealth Rock, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, and Steel Beam is an option for hyper offensive teams, but is outclassed as a suicide lead by Landorus-T which has a powerful Explosion, and Mew these are You seem to have left some of my comment in? which has Taunt and Explosion.
  • High Horsepower can be used over Earthquake to avoid Grassy Terrain weakening Excadrill's main STAB move. However, its imperfect accuracy and reduced power can be undesirable in other situations.

Checks and Counters
====

**Flying-Types**: Corviknight, Skarmory, and Landorus-T are nearly perfect counters to Excadrill, due to being immune to Earthquake and This is the main thing that makes them good at it not worrying about Excadrill's coverage. With the former two having Roost, while the latter has Intimidate to weaken Excadrill further. Zapdos can threaten a paralysis on a Rapid Spin attempt, but it must watch out for Rock Slide. You run it for it, meaning it can't switch in as easily.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Hippowdon, defensive Garchomp and the aforementioned Landorus-T are very good switchins to Excadrill that pressure it with their STAB moves and need a mention here. They can, however, potentially be set up on by Excadrill if it carries an Air Balloon.

**Water-Types**: Slowbro, Rotom-W, and Urshifu-R are great checks to Sand Rush Excadrill They're not so great against the utility set for the reasons you list., having good physical bulk and resisting the Steel typing A Steel-type resistance on its own doesn't do much when Excadrill has STAB Earthquake. Slowbro has to worry about Toxic, Rotom-W has to worry about Mold Breaker, and Urshifu-R has to not directly switch into Excadrill. Urshifu fits better with Priority than with defensive Pokemon like Slowbro and Rotom-W.

**Grass-Types**: Tangrowth can switch into Earthquake and shrug off the hits with Regenerator. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain, weakening Earthquake, and OHKOing Excadrill with Grassy Glide, but it cannot safely switch in. This looks like Rillaboom is going to switch in, but it doesn't want to take Toxic or a boosted Iron Head.

**Priority**: Since Excadrill is very frail, it is weak vulnerable "Weak" means "takes twice as much damage" which it doesn't to all of these to many common priority attacks such as Aqua Jet from Urshifu-R, and Grassy Glide from Rillaboom, and Sucker Punch from Bisharp.

I'll probably stamp this once you've implemented this, but want to check you get these points right first.

Hello, I hope you're doing well today,

The QC team has chosen to reassign this analysis. We feel as though in its current state, it would take far too many revisions to get it up to par, and given how pressed for resources the team is at the moment, we feel it is for the best that we have someone else write it. Despite this, you are, of course, free to reserve another Pokemon in the future.

I'll be locking this. If you have any further questions, feel free to DM me or Ruft!
