* Its offensive movepool is lacking and even with the Z-Moves Excadrill is hard walled by some common defensive mons like Tangrowht, Skarmory and Zapdos.

Moves

*Earthquake is the Ground STAB move of choice as its reliable and sports solid firepower
*Iron Head compliments Earthquake and hits most Ground resists and immunities for neutral damage. It also comes witha handy 30% flinch chance.
*Rock Slide is mainly used to nail Flying types, or Pokemon who resist Excadrills STAB combo.
*Sword Dance allows Excadrill to take advantage of te switches its forces and bolsters its Attack, giving it a chance to muscle through potential checks and i some cases trough entire teams.
*Rapid Spin provides a reliable way to removes entry hazard (even more so under Sand) while keeping our own entry hazards on the field.
Set Details
========

*A Jolly nature lets Excadrill get the jump on some key Pokemon within the base 77 to 86 Speed range outside of sand, including Tapu Lele, Rotom-W, and Heatran. It even lets you outspeed neutral nature base 100 Speed Pokemon.
*Adamant nature underlines Excadrills already high attack, but misses the ability to ouspeed the likes of Gyarados and Heatran.
*Life Orb grants Excadrill a major power boost, often allowing it to OHKO most non-defensive Pokemon after they've taken a bit of prior damage. Steelium Z pauirs very well with Sword Dance,turing Iron Head into a 160BP Corkscrew Crash and nailing Pokemon who would usually take on the Life Orb Set such as Landorus-T, Tangrowth, Buzzwole, Hippowdon, defensive Garchomp, and Tapu Fini when Excadrill is at +2.
*Sand Rush is the ability of choice,allowing Excadrill to outspeed the practically anything relevant under Sand and making it extremly hard to revenge kill.

Usage Tips

*Try to keep Sand up overs the course of the match since Excadril requires the speed boost to revenge kill faster treats and clean in the late game.
