Despite Alolan Exeggutor's crippling low Speed stat, its unique STAB combination along with its high Special Attack and coverage options allow it to excel as one of PU's most fearsome wallbreakers when paired with Choice Specs. Draco Meteor and Leaf Storm dish out large amounts of damage, OHKOing or 2HKOing a majority of the tier and notably dealing with walls like Jellicient, Regirock, and Lanturn. Giga Drain acts as a more reliable STAB move while also providing passive recovery for Alolan Exeggutor. Flamethrower takes care of Steel-types like Silvally-Steel that resist its STAB combination. Pokemon like Sneasel that appreciate Alolan Exeggutor's ability to take down defensive walls pair up well with it. Sneasel also deals with opposing Dragon-types like Druddigon that threaten Alolan Exeggutor. Alolan Exeggutor also appreciates teaming up with U-turn users such as Scyther and Togedemaru and Volt Switch users like Lanturn and Heliolisk that can safely bring it in to the field.
