Thanks to its huge Special Attack, decent offensive typing, and powerful STAB moves, Exeggutor is a fearsome wallbreaker with Choice Specs. Leaf Storm massively threatens bulky and even Grass-resistant targets like Alcremie, Skuntank, and Klinklang. Psychic offers a non-drawback move against targets like Appletun, Throh, and Silvally-Poison. Psyshock targets special walls like Articuno, Clefairy, and Miltank. Giga Drain is a non-drawback Grass-type move that gives Exeggutor a form of recovery. While Chlorophyll is situational, it allows Exeggutor to outspeed Rapidash and Ninetales under sun.

Exeggutor appreciates VoltTurn support from Pokemon like Silvally formes, Rotom, and Alolan Persian, as it has difficulty switching into attacks and can only switch into weak walls like Stunfisk, defensive Poliwrath, and non-Poison Jab Qwilfish. Physical wallbreakers like Kangaskhan, Sawk, and Rhydon synergize well, wearing down specially bulky Pokemon like Articuno, Altaria, and Coalossal that Exeggutor struggles with; in return, Exeggutor can take on physical walls that they struggle with, such as Qwilfish, Tangela, and defensive Poliwrath. Silvally-Fighting offensively checks to Dark-types and Klinklang and can also bring in Exeggutor against foes like Alcremie and Stunfisk. Electric- and Poison-types like Rotom, Skuntank, and Silvally-Poison greatly benefit from Exeggutor taking advantage of common Ground-types.

=============

Future Sight puts pressure on Exeggutor's checks with the delayed damage, which can be taken advantage of by its teammates. Eject Pack sets make Exeggutor a one-time pivot and let it wall Gourgeist-S after use, though Exeggutor becomes much weaker without the boost from Choice Specs. Exeggutor can also be used on Sun teams as a Sunny Day setter and user, though it lacks the Speed and coverage to make full use of Chlorophyll. Harvest sets with either a Colbur Berry or Sitrus Berry give Exeggutor a cushion against Dark-type attacks or extra longevity, though they also miss out on the power of Choice Specs.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Barring Psyshock, specially bulky Pokemon like Articuno, Type: Null, and Clefairy avoid the 2HKO from any of Exeggutor’s moves and can stall it out with their recovery and STAB moves.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Silvally-Dark and Skuntank can switch into a predicted Psychic-type attack and stomach at least one of Exeggutor's attacks before retaliating with their STAB moves, though none of them can switch into it safely.

**Klinklang**: Klinklang resists both of Exeggutor's STAB moves, can revenge kill it with Gear Grind, and can stomach at least one of its attacks. However, Klinklang doesn't appreciate switching into Exeggutor.

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Because Exeggutor is so slow and has a bad defensive typing, it is easily revenge killed by faster threats such as Sawk, Jynx, and Gourgeist-S, though they cannot switch into any of its attacks.

**U-turn Users**: Due to its 4x weakness to Bug, Exeggutor takes massive damage from U-turn users like Thwackey, Flapple, and Articuno.

**Shedinja**: Thanks to Wonder Guard, Shedinja completely walls Exeggutor and can freely status or attack it.

Thanks to its huge Special Attack, decent offensive typing, and solid bulk I'd rather mention its high BP STAB(s); bulk bairly matters when your typing doesn't let you switch in anyway, Exeggutor is a fearsome wallbreaker with Choice Specs. Leaf Storm is its most powerful STAB attack, massively threatening bulky and even resisted targets like Alcremie, Skuntank, and Klinklang. Psychic offers a secondary STAB move against targets like Gurdurr, Throh, and Silvally-Poison. When Leaf Storm’s power is no longer needed, Giga Drain gives Exeggutor a form of recovery. Psyshock targets special Walls like Articuno and specially defensive Miltank. While Chlorophyll is situational, it can outspeed Rapidash and Ninetales under sun. Since you switch Giga Drain with Psyshock, switch the order here as well.

Exeggutor appreciates VoltTurn support from Pokemon like Silvally formes, Manectric Rotom; more relevant, and Alolan Persian, as it has difficulty switching into attacks outside of weak walls like Stunfisk, defensive Poliwrath, and non-Poison Jab Qwilfish. Physical wallbreakers like Kangaskhan, Sawk, and Rhydon synergize well, wearing down specially bulky Pokemon that Exeggutor struggles with, easing prediction. In return, Exeggutor can take on physical walls that the aformentioned physical attackers struggle with, such as Qwilfish, Tangela, and defensive Poliwrath. Silvally-Fighting not only helps serve as an offensive check to Dark-types and Klinklang, but also can pivot on anticipated checks like Alcremie and Stunfisk, enabling Exeggutor to wreak havoc.

Teleport synergizes with VoltTurn cores Exeggutor fits well with, though it gives up an important STAB move. Eject Pack sets makes Exeggutor a one-time pivot and can wall Gourgeist-S after use, though Exeggutor becomes much weaker without the boost from Choice Specs. Exeggutor can also be used on Sun teams as a Sunny Day setter and abuser, though Sun teams are rare and Exeggutor lacks the Speed and coverage to make full use of Chlorophyll.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Barring Psyshock, specially bulky Pokemon like Articuno and Clefairy avoid from the 2HKO from any of Exeggutor’s moves and can whittle stall it down out with their recovery and STAB moves.

**Klinklang**: Klinklang resists both of its STAB moves, can revenge kill it with Gear Grind, and can stomach at least one of its attacks. However, it doesn’t appreciate switching in.

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Because Exeggutor is so slow and has a bad defensive typing, it is easily revenge killed by faster wallbreakers and revenge killers threats, such as Sawk, Jynx, and Gourgeist-S, though they cannot switch into any of its attacks.

Psyshock targets special walls like Articuno, Clefairy, and Miltank. When Leaf Storm’s power is no longer needed or when eggy wants a no drawback grass move, Giga Drain gives Exeggutor a form of recovery it's still a strong move. While Chlorophyll is situational, it can outspeed Rapidash and Ninetales under sun.

**U-turn**!

**Shedinja** this is about to get ranked on vr and that's the main answer to eggy.
