I bought a copy of pokemon diamond today, and it had a save file from Will (TID 38373) and four pokemon in their party: Empoleon, Crobat, contest participant Gabite, and Pichu holding the exp share.
The boxes were Pachirisu, Drifloon, Geodude, and Bibarel. I went to go catch a Stunky and grabbed the happiny egg from Hearthome.
They're just before gym 7, when I first turned the game on it was stuck in the middle of the blizzard route but they had not actually made it to Snowpoint yet.
I feel more than half tempted to finish the playthrough tbh but something in the back of my mind is telling me I'd get more value if I just traded their starter and stunky onto platinum and restarted and started with the remaining starter (turtwig).
I was curious what other people do in situations like this :0 because I'm not opposed to finishing an over half done playthrough but I feel more incentivezed mechanically to start over.
