ExplosionWAY
This one of my first teams put together, so I'm sorry if there is information lack, as I do not entirely know all the counters and such just yet. So all help you can give would be amazing!

Introduction: This is ExplosionWAY! (Will Avenge You)
I have always enjoyed just blowing up and taking whomever is out with me, while having a great laugh as it totally destroys everything.
I derived the name ExplosionWAY from a game called Guild Wars. In PvP there was always "WAY" this or that.
We had gotten way from a skill called "I Will Avenge You" and shortened it to IWAY, and people just started taking WAY and putting it into everything.
I saw ExplosionWAY seemed appropriate on both ends, Explosion Will Avenge You, and it's the Way of Explosions.
To start, I didn't have many OU options for explosion. Nor did I have many options for explosion at all. The ones I had the ability to choose from were:

Out of the choices I had, I already knew that my lead was going to be Heatran.

485.png

When I think of Heatran, I think of is big Ground weakness, so I need a good counter that could either bypass it or tank it and survive.
So a Gengar came to mind, with his levitate completely just throwing ground damage out of the way for Heatran.

After putting Gengar in, I saw the Dark / Psychic weakness, Heatran could tank the Dark and Psychic if need be, but I wanted something that could take Psychic and throw maybe a little something back at them.
So I decided to throw in a U-turn Azelf for scouting and making those pesky Psychics just leave.

482.png

I saw that Heatran's water was still pretty uncovered, along with some steels being able to wall Gengar and Azelf, and being able to OHKO Heatran.
So I wanted a Magnezone up in there for that Gyarados, Suicune, and other waters and flying coverage.

Looking at the team so far, I see a heavy Physical weakness, almost all of them could get OHKO'd by any decently buffed physical move.
So I need a physical wall, I looked at metagross, didn't entirely like what I saw as he is another ground weakness liability.
So I looked at Weezing, yeah he is UU, but he can wall in OU just fine.

I still have a rather hard special weakness. So I looked and looked and stumbled upon yet another UU to fill a good spot on the team.
Registeel.
Had the better bulk of his brethren as being able to take physical and special equally as well. So I plopped him in there.

After further testing Registeel didn't seem to be a good option as he may be a good wall, he is stupidly slow, and powerless to stand up against any other wall. So I replaced that Junkie Robotic waste of space with a Metagross Lead, while switching Heatran to a scarf

Movesets:

dpiconani376.gif
Metagross: Adamant @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EV's: 248 HP / 236 Atk / 24 Spe
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Explosion
Bullet Punch

Your average Metagross lead. Occa berry so that it can take 2 fire blasts if it needs to.
Stealth Rock for the damage through also, what a lead should carry most of the time.
Earthquake to take out those fires that think can tank me, or steels who think the same.
Bullet Punch for the +1 priority + STAB = Good damage.
Explosion for obvious reasons.
Compared to the Heatran lead I was running, I am absolutely loving this guy! He just tanks like the beast he was born to be! He has amazing resistances can take hits when needed, has pretty good speed so that he can outrun things if need be, has the attack to retaliate for big friggin damage. He is my new favorite OU lead.

dpiconani485.gif
Heatran: Naive / Rash @ Choice Scarf Timid @ Shuca Berry / Leftovers.
Ability: Flash Fire
EV's: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Stealth Rock Hidden Power Grass
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion

The choice scarf Heatran seems to flow with me much more than the lead was. With this guy I am running Naive, but Rash could be used if I'd rather have extra SpA instead of the extra speed. But in his case I want to be able to outspeed everything I come across. Especially those pesky Swamperts.
Hidden Power Grass for as stated right above this, Swampers. They switch in on Heatran like you would find Rice at a Chinese restaurant, it's just natural. Grass takes care of that kid just pie.
Fire Blast for coverage and STAB, sometimes even buffed by Flash Fire makes for a "jizz in my pants" move.
Earth Power to cover fires that think can take me with either Earth, or Figthing. Such as Infernape, he seems to pop out a bunch with this guy, Earth Power deals with him easily.
Explosion just because he wouldn't be in the team without it

dpiconani094.gif
Gengar: Timid @ Life Orb / Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast / Hidden Power 70 Fire / Icy Wind
Thunderbolt
Explosion

I usually use Choice Scarf because I've seen him get outran before, as such it becomes really annoying to hit anything. I like to be first and I don't normally care if I am stuck with one move as long as I can be almost guaranteed to go first.
Shadow Ball for STAB and coverage.
Focus Blast for Blissey, Steels, Normals, Darks. Or Hidden Power Fire for coverage on Grasses, Steels, Ice. Or Icy Wind to take care of Salamence, Dragonite, and other annoying Dragons, Flying, and Grass.
Thunderbolt to switch in on Waters and Flying.
Explosion for obvious reasons, when I'm almost done, explosion out.

dpiconani482.gif
Azelf: Naive @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 40 Atk / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
Psychic
Flamethrower
U-turn
Explosion

Psychic for big damage on STAB and coverage obviously.
Flamethrower for steels, they seem to love to switch in on this guy.
U-turn for scouting or hitting other psychics and darks.
Explosion, obviously.

dpiconani462.gif
Magnezone: Naive Timid @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EV's: 40 Atk / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
Substitute
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power (Grass / Fire)
Explosion

Currently running HP Grass because grounds and such get cocky against this guy, has helped me against other electrics as well, especially Rotoms. Now running Timid instead of Naive, as I want all the bulk I can get, as suggested by kd24.
Substitute to hide behind, and for a little bit of scouting and helpful way to avoid Equakes if something switches in.
Thunderbolt for STAB and coverage.
Hidden Power Grass for coverage to hit everything for at least neutral damage, except for dragons and grass. Fire to hit grass, ice, and others, but Gengar uses it better.
Explosion for obvious reasons.

dpiconani110.gif
Weezing: Bold @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Fire Blast
Thunderbolt
Pain Split
Explosion

I am liking this Life Orb set, as I can do the extra kick that I need with both Explosion and the Bolt and Blast, he is very easily walled, and Orb gives him that kick, but at the cost of his life. So it's still in debat whether to run Leftovers or Life Orb.
To be completely honest, I'm not exactly sure what to run on Weezing. O_O Pain Split + Explosion are the main ones I am attached to.
As for Fire Blast and Thunderbolt are used better by others on the team.
Any suggestions on better replacements?

dpiconani379.gif
Registeel: Impish @ Leftovers / Expert Belt
Ability: Clear Body
EV's: 252 HP / 168 Atk / 88 Def
Hammer Arm / Stealth Rock
Ice Punch
Earthquake
Explosion

Removed from the team for being a useless robot

Okay Major nitpick.
Your seriously lacking physical power and you cant just blow up every time you see a pokemon which special attacks dont work against since thats hindering yourself moreso.

Now, clearly, you know, I know, we all know, that this is just a really bad gimmick. While this team may work, putting Explosion on every moveset is hindering your performance.

Probably the biggest weakness this team has is against Scarf Rotom forms; it switches in and out of explosions, burns your members to render them useless, outspeed your whole party, etc. If you seriously want to carry this team out, I suggest replacing Heatran for a Metagross lead(still has explosion) and then swapping Registeel for a Choice scarf version of Heatran. This allows for decent revenge(raher than avenge) killing and gives a way to knock out/wall Rotom. With it's pitiful attack and speed, Registeel just isn't cutting it in this team. I recommend giving it hp ice as you have no reliable way of killing dragons.

Also, I think that Magnezone could make better use of a timid nature as you need all the bulk you can get for switch ins. Unless you can run some calcs by me, prving that the nature is better as is, change it.

I hope that helps.

I had a team like this. lol Explode...explode.
This is a pretty cool team. Replace Registeel with Choice Banded Metagross. Well it looks cool but that doesn't mean everything needs to Explode. >.> Try to make it better by finding counters. Number one counter is Ghost types. One of the best popular Ghost counter is Tyranitar. Unfortunately I don't think you will like that since Tyranitar can't Explode. Try a Banded Metagross with Pursuit. Make Azelf the lead and give Heatran a scarf will which allow you to brake through Rotom. Also it helps against Steel Types. Keep Fire Blast on Weezing for Steel Types. I can suggest good options but most of them don't learn Explosion. Still make these little changes and I'm sure this will work out fine. Hopefully.

i know its a theme team, but you desperately want a pursuit tyranitar somewhere to catch ghost-types, and i would likely just use scarftar over weezing and scarf gengar with explosion in case you get set up on. azelf is already your "gengar" tbh. eliminating ghost-types should be goal number 1 since they will fuck you up if you can't properly predict against on or just explode at random, and a scarftar can provide a last check sweep against teams worn down severely be explosion.

i should give more explanation on scarf gengar, having the speed to explode on any pokemon you want is huge for this team, as well as providing excellent revenge to scarf flygon / ddmence / dd gyarados. los nice, but as i said, azelf covers it, and gengar seems like it will just be another pokemon to fall to a well timed sweep right now.

finally, i agree with cb metagross over registeel, or even scarf metagross. you are trying to take out as much as possible and the power metagross provides is invaluable, as is the speed scarf can give, or the pure power cb could show. please take this into consideration.

these teams are gimmicks but they can work with enough field practice and play and correct guessing. with these changes, the team should become fit to handle most teams on ladder but will likely come to a coin flip / team matchup. however, it can work and i give you props for trying to be different. have fun and most importantly here GOOD LUCK!
