Here we Go. Despite none of this stuff being particularly amazing, this is probably the only team i've made that seems to have good synergy.
Heracross @ Heracronite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 228 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Rock Blast
- Pin Missile
- Focus Punch
Mega Heracross is awesome because it has skill link, but far better defensive typing and special bulk than Cloyster. This is currently the only mon on my team that can set up, as none of the others really need to. Once it is behind a sub it can shred through teams. Currently the one major wall to this is Aegislash. I could put on knock off on to deal with that, but then i would lose considerable coverage.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
A fairly standard Ferrothorn set, there to set up rocks and just in general being a "thorn" in the enemy's side. There's not a lot to say, other than the fact that this is currently the only thing i have that easily hit water-types (assuming they're not dual-type).
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Toxic
A great complement to Heracross and Ferrothorn, able to soak up up those fire moves. the Balloon is a must, taking away a crippling weakness. I could consider switching to a defensive set to get SR and the ability to roar things out.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
There for the spinning for the most part. I have ice beam over thunderbolt as it provides essential coverage against all mons with 4x weaknesses to it, and with the exception of Noivern, it out-speeds all of them if they aren't scarfed.
Haxorus @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Poison Jab
A Wall-breaker through and through, outrage is completely devastating. The other moves are there for coverage. In particular, Poison Jab is there for Togekiss, who otherwise can't be touched by this set. Also, see the bottom paragraph.
Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Poison Jab
A fantastic lead, few people seem to predict a scarfed Terrakion. This allows Terrakion to grab some easy OHKOs against mons like Greninja and other normally-faster pokemon. The only issue I currently see is the nature, as I had the unfortunate experience of running into a Jolly scarfed Salamence, would outsped and OHKOed me.
Besides a general rating, one question I'd like to ask is if a DD Dragonite would fit in better, in place of Haxorus, as it is a little bulkier and gives the team priority it so severely lacks. And if I should opt for Dragonite, two smaller questions: Adamant or Jolly? and what item: Leftovers, Lum Berry, or Weakness Policy?
EDIT: woops, didn't read the rules. descriptions for each mon added
