Hello fellow Smogon members, this is my UU team that I've been using for awhile and it's been doing pretty darn good. This team has gotten me to a 1371 CRE ranking which is pretty good, right? Anyway, I don't really have much else to say, so let's get to the Pokemon.
Also, my old thread can be found HERE. Some of the same Pokemon are in it, but that thread has my original Pokemon that I've been using.
The Team at First Glance
-------------
Sneasel
Item: Focus Sash
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Inner Focus
Evs: 252 Attack & Speed, 4 Special Defense
-Fake Out
-Counter
-Taunt
-Pursuit
Definitively my most favorite lead that I've ever used. I discovered the Anti-Lead set when I was searching random Pokemon on Smogon's strategydex. When I saw it, it looked pretty interesting, so I gave it a try. After playing around with it for several matches, I don't think I'm going to use a different lead, ever. (I probably will, just not for a long time.)
Fake Out is obvious, I use it against other Pokemon and break their Sash if they have it, or just for the heck of it. It doesn't do a lot of damage, though, so that's the only problem. But, the priority helps if Sneasel is still alive late in the game.
Taunt, Counter, and Pursuit work very well together. Counter is there to take an Ambipom's Fake Out and send the damage right back to him, thanks to Sneasel's ability Inner Focus. Taunt is useful against Uxie and other leads who try and set up. Pursuit is good for leads that don't have U-turn and is unable to do anything if I taunt it.
Against Other Leads
I use Counter as it uses Fake Out for the knock out. Unless it's a Rain Dance/Sunny Day setter upper, in which case, I don't think a Counter will knock it out.
I use Fake Out then a Taunt, predicting a Thunder Wave, Yawn, or any other move. I then use Counter, predicting a U-Turn and pray that it doesn't switch to a ghost Pokemon. It's happened a few times, but when I predict right, I'm usually able to knock out the Pokemon the person sends out.
I use Fake Out which does, literally, no damage after Leftovers; I just use it for the heck of it. Then I'm stuck between two decisions. I either Taunt it and stop if from setting up Spikes or Rocks or I switch to Azumarill to take the predicted Surf. Sometimes I predict right, but sometimes I waste my Sneasel's sash.
For Alakazam, I immediately go for Pursuit instead of the Fake Out, fearing that it also has Inner Focus. I actually don't remember if I'm faster or not, or if Pursuit is a one hit KO, so... yeah.
I really do not like Spiritomb. I don't know why, but I always get nervous when I see it; it's probably because it would wall my old team. Anyway, if I see Spiritomb, I Taunt it, then switch to Azumarill (because I think most would carry WoW, right?)
I use Fake Out, doing a little bit of damage, then I'm not too sure if I should go for Taunt or switch. If I Taunt, but predict wrong, then Rock Blast will KO me since the sash doesn't help (on smogon). But if I predict right, then it can't set up Spikes. It's just one of those things that I hope works in my favor.
Just like Spiritomb, I hate Moltres so much. I use Fake Out and either switch to Claydol or Azumarill. If I feel like it's going to U-turn, then I stay in and counter, but that's only happened a few times. I usually don't switch into Houndoom because it seems that everyone goes for Air Slash instead of Fire Blast. I really don't like Moltres, so getting those rocks up really helps me out.
I Fake Out, if it Protects, that's fine. Then I taunt, so it can't set up rocks or Yawn. Then I either use Counter or switch into Mismagius, so I can use Counter for a Pokemon that's actually worth taking out.
Same thing with Omastar. I Fake Out, and then I'm undecided if I should go for Taunt or Counter.
I Fake Out, then Counter predicting a Bullet Punch, Close Combat, or some other physical move it has.
For Electrode leads, I use a Fake Out to do a little bit of damage, then I switch to Claydol as it uses Rain Dance. Then, I predict the Explosion and switch to Mismagius. It's worked 2/2 times so far and it's pretty awesome once it does. But then usually Kabutops sweeps my team... >.>
Claydol
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Levitate
Evs: 252 HP, 144 Defense, 112 Special Attack
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock
-Earth Power
-Psychic
Claydol is my special wall of sorts. It can take hits pretty well and walls Hitmontop completely (which has helped me tons of times). Getting rocks up is a big priority for me seeing how it'll take Moltres down to 50%, plus it's just nice in general. It also does well against most Registeels, which is good since they can be pretty annoying sometimes.
Ursaring
Item: Toxic Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Quick Feet
Evs: 252 Attack & Speed, 4 Special Defense
-Swords Dance
-Facade
-Crunch
-Earthquake
I've been seeing Ursaring a lot more lately, but usually I've always come out on top. Lately I haven't been using him as a sweeper, more like a revenge killer since Facade does decent damage, even when it's not boosted by Swords Dance. I'm thinking of switching Earthquake back to Close Combat, though, since it helps against Aggron and Steelix. Earthquake is only good when it gets boosted by SD, but I haven't really been able to set up that often.
Houndoom
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest or Timid (I forget)
Ability: Flash Fire
Evs: 4 Attack, 252 Special Attack & Speed
-Overheat
-Dark Pulse
-HP Flying
-Flamethrower
Houndoom is a nice Pokemon. It works well when I have Ursaring out, since sometimes they sound out Weezing. I know it has WoW or Flamethrower, so I hope that when I switch Houndoom in, it gets the Flash Fire boost. Choice Scarf has also helped me a ton in late game situations. I also used Flamethrower over Pursuit, since Pursuit has just sucked for me >.>
Mismagius
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Levitate
Evs: 252 HP, 196 Special Defense, 60 Speed
-Shadow Ball
-HP Fighting
-Will-O-Wisp
-Pain Split
Mismagius always seems to lure in Registeel for some reason. If I send out Mismagius to wall something or to scare a Pokemon off, I usually go for a Will-O-Wisp on the switch, hoping that a physical Poke comes out. If it's Registeel, then I either use HP Fighting and let him Paralyze me or to switch right to Ursaring and try to set up. Usually I just let him paralyze me, though. Other than that, it's been pretty useful, although I think I might switch it with Hypno for some Wish support.
Azumarill
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Huge Power
Evs: 240 HP, 252 Attack, 16 Speed
-Waterfall
-Aqua Jet
-Return
-Superpower
This replaced Wailord since I needed a Pokemon that could take on other bulky water Pokemon. It doesn't do that well against Milotic, however, and it can use HP Grass to do a lot more damage to me than I can with Return. Other than that, it also helps me take out Moltres if it's taken SR damage. Other than THAT, it's good at doing good damage against other Pokemon.
