Sneasel decided to start the match by taunting Fanal's Venipede. Venipede was trying to make a bit of a ruckus, but couldn't do anything over the sound of Sneasel's taunts. Litwich then shrank down to the size of a votive candle. Wooper shot a ball of mud at Sneasel, some of which stuck on and left Sneasel a bit slowed.

Sneasel then began to evasively sprint around the arena, allowing it to dodge a Scald from Wooper. Venipede, however, was a bit more savvy and simply chilled. Litwick had pulled some power from the sun and unleased a powerful Solarbeam at Wooper, knocking off a good portion of its HP.

Sneasel began to dance as if it was holding a pair of cutlasses. Inferno charged up a ball of ghastly fire and fired it at Venipede, but it narrowly missed. Venipede was a bit confused as to what Fanal wanted it to do, so it simply sat there. Wooper fired off one more ball of mud, which began to seriously slow down Sneasel.
