Moves
=========

Volt Switch is the primary move of this set, as it allows Rotom to take advantage of the pressure it exerts on the field and convert it to momentum. Hydro Pump punishes Ground- and Fire-types such as Excadrill and Heatran, which can switch in on Volt Switch or Will-O-Wisp, respectively. Will-O-Wisp allows Rotom-W to punish Grass- and Ground-types such as Amoonguss and Garchomp that attempt to switch on its Volt Switch. It also takes advantage of Rotom-W's Speed and shuts down physical attackers such as Bisharp, Dragonite, and Mega Tyranitar. Pain Split gives Rotom-W the ability to stay on the field longer. Thunder Wave can be used over Pain Split to punish Serperior, Clefable, and Latias, which otherwise threaten Rotom and shrug off a burn.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP investment is for general bulk. 232 Speed EVs allow Rotom-W to outspeed Jolly Mega Tyranitar, Jolly Bisharp, and Adamant Dragonite, allowing it to potentially burn them before they set up. The rest of the EVs are put into Defense with a Bold nature to take physical hits better.

Usage Tips
========

Fast Rotom-W is a great disruptor tool, especially against slower teams. Thanks to its Speed, it can impair usually faster foes that rely on setup, such as Dragonite, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Gyarados. Furthermore, slower setup Pokemon that rely on priority, such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor, are outsped and crippled by Will-O-Wisp. Finally, slower setup Pokemon that rely on their bulk, such as Gliscor, Landorus-T, and Adamant Mega Heracross, can be chipped or eliminated by Hydro Pump.

Team Options
========

Fast Rotom-W thrives on offensive teams that can take advantage of its momentum. Pursuit users such as Weavile and Tyranitar are great teammates, as they can threaten or eliminate a weakened foe after chip damage from Volt Switch and possible entry hazards or burn. Pokemon with U-turn or Volt Switch, such as Landorus-T, Thundurus, and Tornadus-T, can double up on the momentum Rotom-W creates with their own momentum. Pokemon that can reliably remove hazards, such as Excadrill and Zapdos, are appreciated, as they can keep the team healthy and able to switch around. Finally, Pokemon that can consistently set up hazards, such as Hippowdon, Ferrothorn, and Garchomp, are also appreciated, as hazards can accumulate damage quickly when paired with Rotom-W's Volt Switch.
