[OVERVIEW]

Ferroseed boasts itself as a very adept entry hazard setter thanks to its great bulk, Eviolite, and an amazing defensive typing that allows it to resist common Grass-, Fairy-, Electric-, and Water-type moves from Pokemon such as Whimsicott, Diancie, non-Focus Blast Heliolisk, and Samurott. Thanks to its defensive typing, Ferroseed finds many opportunities to set up entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes. Aside from entry hazard setting moves, Ferroseed has access to a great utility movepool consisting of Leech Seed, Gyro Ball, and Protect, which perform different roles such as stalling out foes and dealing adequate damage. However, Ferroseed's defensive typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire- and Fighting-type Pokemon such as Incineroar and Hariyama as well as coverage moves from Slowbro and Silvally-Steel. Ferroseed's lackluster offensive capabilities makes it setup bait to setup sweepers such as Braviary and Klinklang, especially if they have Substitute to protect themselves from Ferroseed's utility moves and Gyro Ball.

Moves
========

Spikes deals residual damage to opposing Pokemon, especially if stacked the maximum amount of times. Access to Spikes also allows Ferroseed's team to have a Stealth Rock setter to further increase residual damage. Stealth Rock is Ferroseed's alternative entry hazard move, damaging opposing Pokemon on the switch and weakening key threats such as Incineroar, Vanilluxe, and Braviary, although without running Spikes, more entry hazards cannot be stacked. Leech Seed is Ferroseed's only means of recovery, allowing it to gain health back while simultaneously sapping the foe's HP. Gyro Ball is Ferroseed's primary STAB attack and works well with its sluggish Speed stat, as it increases damage output and prevents it from becoming setup fodder to most Pokemon. Protect allows Ferroseed to stall out foes with Leech Seed and scout opposing coverage moves and Choice-locked Pokemon. Knock Off can be used over Gyro Ball to remove opposing Pokemon's items and make them less efficient at their role, although it does less damage overall and makes it easier for opposing setup sweepers to use Ferroseed as setup bait. Thunder Wave allows Ferroseed to spread status and cripple fast Pokemon so they can be eliminated with less difficulty later in the game by Ferroseed's teammates.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense investment in conjunction with Eviolite and a Relaxed nature maximize Ferroseed's bulk, allowing it to take hits more comfortably. 0 IVs and a Relaxed nature are required for Ferroseed to become as slow as possible and maximize Gyro Ball's damage output. Iron Barbs allows Ferroseed to punish opposing Pokemon using contact moves by dealing chip damage to them.

Usage Tips
========

Ferroseed should generally switch into Pokemon it walls such as Slowbro, Whimsicott, and non-Focus Blast Heliolisk to force them out and utilize the opportunity to set up entry hazards, paralyze its switch-ins, or use Leech Seed. Leech Seed should be used when Ferroseed is in need of healing or to stall physical attackers with Iron Barbs and Protect. Protect should be used to scout opposing coverage moves from the likes of Diancie and Heliolisk that otherwise pose a problem to Ferroseed. When facing a Pokemon that utilizes a Choice item, use Protect to see what move has been used. This allows Ferroseed and its teammates to make more accurate decisions accordingly; furthermore, it can take advantage of High Jump Kick users such as Medicham. If Ferroseed runs Thunder Wave, use it to cripple fast switch-ins such as Houndoom and Passimian, as this hinders their offensive capabilities and allows Ferroseed's teammates to take care of them. Ferroseed can use its defensive typing to assist its teammates, especially setup sweepers, by switching into Toxic; however, it should be extremely cautious of potential coverage moves. Knock Off is a big problem for Ferroseed and should be avoided at all costs, as the bulk provided by Eviolite is important for it to maintain its overall bulk and ability to switch in comfortably against Pokemon like Vanilluxe. Lastly, Ferroseed should generally stay away from Xatu, as it can bounce back most of Ferroseed's moves such as Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Leech Seed while also threatening it with Night Shade.

Team Options
========

Pokemon such as Rhydon and Dragon Dance Scrafty appreciate Ferroseed's ability to set up entry hazards, switch into Toxic, spread paralysis, and deal additional chip damage, as it allows them to perform their offensive roles with less hindrances. Fire-types such as Incineroar and Houndoom are very troublesome to Ferroseed due to their 4x super effective STAB moves. Water- and Rock-types such as Vaporeon and Rhydon are useful to check the aforementioned Fire-types and have good defensive synergy with Ferroseed. Fighting-type Pokemon are threatening to Ferroseed, as they can deal super effective damage; therefore, Psychic-type Pokemon such as Slowbro and Uxie make for good teammates thanks to their ability to handle Fighting-types. Uxie deserves a special mention, as it can set up Stealth Rock and allows Ferroseed to run Spikes. Pokemon such as Sneasel and Mismagius can take care of the troublesome Xatu and a significant number of other entry hazard removers. Mismagius in particular is exceedingly helpful by being able to spinblock, use Taunt to render Defog unusable, and cripple opposing Fighting-types with Will-O-Wisp.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Ferroseed's main movepool is very important, as it allows Ferroseed to perform its role to the fullest extent, which usually doesn't allow it to run many alternative moves. Bullet Seed can be used as a less common alternative to Gyro Ball, as it has a STAB bonus and does significant damage to Pokemon such as Samurott while also breaking Sturdy and Focus Sash. However, this leaves Ferroseed's low Speed stat unused and Bullet Seed is generally outclassed as an offensive move by Gyro Ball due to it being able to hit more significant targets; Bullet Seed allows foes to switch into Ferroseed with less difficulty and possibly set up on it. A specially defensive EV spread allows Ferroseed to switch into Fairy-types more comfortably, most of which are special attackers, as well as other special attackers such as Heliolisk that use moves Ferroseed resists. However, this leaves Ferroseed vulnerable to more of its common checks, which are physical attackers.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fire-types**: Powerful Fire-types such as Incineroar and Houndoom can easily OHKO Ferroseed due to its 4x weakness to Fire and resist a Gyro Ball. However, these Fire-types may be troubled if Ferroseed uses Thunder Wave or Knock Off on the switch, as they do not appreciate being paralyzed or having their item removed. Leech Seed can be a hassle if hit on the switch, as Ferroseed can use Protect and Iron Barbs to wear down physical Fire-types so Ferroseed's teammates can take them out later.

**Xatu**: Xatu doesn't mind any of Ferroseed's moves bar Knock Off thanks to Magic Bounce, which bounces back entry hazards and Thunder Wave. If Ferroseed doesn't switch out, Xatu can Roost stall it and 3HKO it with Night Shade.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types are good checks to Ferroseed due to their powerful STAB attacks; however, they should be wary of Knock Off and Thunder Wave. Fighting-types that can check Ferroseed include Medicham and Passimian, although the former needs to be careful into being Choice locked, as if Ferroseed uses Protect, Medicham will take crash damage from High Jump Kick.

**Substitute Sweepers**: Pokemon brought in safely by pivoting into Ferroseed and setting up Substitute are not affected by Thunder Wave or Leech Seed and can use Ferroseed as setup fodder if Gyro Ball does not break their Substitute. These Substitute sweepers include Klinklang and Braviary.

**Taunt**: Since Ferroseed uses three status moves in its moveset, it is highly susceptible to Taunt unless it uses Protect in time. Faster Taunt users that resist Steel-type moves or are defensive such as Jellicent and Golbat can tank Ferroseed's Gyro Ball and force Ferroseed to switch, as it is unable to set up entry hazards.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Ferroseed has access to great bulk with the Eviolite and a good defensive typing which allows it to switch into nine different typings it resists such as Grass-, Fairy-, Electric-, and Water-types, Ferroseed can check the latter - this is a really weird sentence, maybe instead of that last bit of "ferroseed can check the latter" which doesn't appear to go anywhere, give mentions of some mons that ferroseed can check
  • Ferroseed is an adept entry hazard setter as it is able to set either Stealth Rock or Spikes by using the switches it forces as an opportunity to set them
  • A great utility movepool compliments its Iron Barbs ability as Ferroseed can recover its HP with a decent recovery option with Leech Seed and stall for sufficient health with Protect which irks the opposing Pokemon especially if its a physical attacker as it will take additional damage
  • Gyro Ball can be used effectively we Ferroseed thanks to its sluggish Speed stat while it can also use Knock Off and Thunder Wave to weaken opposing Pokemon for its teammates to deal with
  • Ferroseed's defensive typing can work against it as it is really easy to lure as most Pokemon it checks carry coverage moves such as Hidden Power Fire to combat Ferroseed on the switch - give examples of mons that can lure it in with HP fire
  • Ferroseed's offensive capabilities are rather poor as well which renders it as setup bait especially if the opposing Pokemon has substitute to protect themself from a potentially hazardous Thunder Wave or Knock Off and is resistant to Gyro Ball

Moves
========

  • Stealth Rock is Ferroseed's primary entry hazard move which it can use to set to deal residual damage to Pokemon that switch in on it which includes Flying-, Ice-, and Fire-types such as Scyther, Vanilluxe, and Incineroar
  • Alternatively, Spikes can be set in stacks to deal more residual damage than Stealth Rock, although it is harder to set up stacks and doesn't effect as much Pokemon as Stealth Rock does due to it dealing more residual damage to more of Ferroseed's checks - mention somewhere in this that spikes is best if you have a SR setter
  • Leech Seed is Ferroseed's only means of recovery while also chipping away at the opposing Pokemon's health to wear them down, especially in conjunction with Iron Barbs if the opposing Pokemon uses physical moves
  • Gyro Ball can be used with maximum effectiveness thanks to Ferroseed's slow Speed stat and can be used to hit Diancie super effectively and other Pokemon that don't resist Steel
  • Alternatively, Knock Off can be used to remove the items of opposing Pokemon to allow Ferroseed's teammate to take them out later, it also proves as effective coverage to Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Rotom and Sigilyph - Sigilyph isn't really a good example here because it'll just Heat Wave and kill you before you can even knock, so mention Xatu here instead.
  • Protect allows Ferroseed to stall the opposing Pokemon with Leech Seed present so that it can recover enough HP to perform an action, it can also be used to frisk the opponent's coverage moves so that they can be avoided later
  • Thunder Wave can be used on the other hand to cripple faster switch-ins to Ferroseed early-game if used as an entry hazard lead which leaves them vulnerable to Ferroseed's teammates later on
Set Details
========

  • Investment in 252 HP, 252 Def, and 4 SpD EVs allow Ferroseed to obtain great bulk in conjunction with the Eviolite and a Relaxed or Impish nature to further increase it
  • 0 IVs in Speed alongside a Relaxed nature further increases the damage of Gyro Ball to make it more effective against the likes of Pokemon that don't resist it
  • As mentioned above, Iron Barbs can be used to punish physical attackers with chip damage which can be combined with Leech Seed to wear down opposing Pokemon quite quickly
Usage Tips
========

  • Ferroseed should switch into Pokemon it takes minimal damage from to take the opportunity to set up entry hazards, examples include Slowbro and Heliolisk
  • Ferroseed should use Leech Seed on Pokemon it can wall to recover HP, especially if they're a physical attacker so that Ferroseed can deal even more chip damage with Iron Barbs and use Protect to stall the opposing Pokemon
  • Aside from stalling in conjunction with Leech Seed, Protect can be used to scout opposing Pokemon's coverage or Choice-locked moves so Ferroseed and its teammates can be wary of them later in the game although excess use of Protect can in turn allow opposing Pokemon to obtain a setup oppertunity - also mention that it damages High Jump Kick users like Medicham and Hitmonlee if they try to hit you with it
  • Ferroseed can also lead to cripple fast Pokemon such as Scyther and Accelgor with Thunder Wave or Knock Off early-game or set up entry hazards relatively early as it can take advantage of other Rock-type entry hazard leads although it can also be risky due to coverage moves - coverage moves from who?
  • Ferroseed can switch into Toxic for its teammates that may fear it as they may be sweepers or need their longevity, but Ferroseed again should be careful as it may force switches in these situations to find opportunities to set entry hazards but it should always be careful of coverage moves

Team Options
========

  • Pokemon that appreciate Ferroseed's ability to set up entry hazards and block Toxic include Scrafty and Sceptile as they can use the extra chip damage to sweep more efficiently while avoid the dangerous Toxic that can harm their longevity
  • Ferroseed is 4x weak to Fire-type moves from the likes of Charizard and Emboar therefore Fire-type checks such as Clawitzer and Rhydon are handy teammates to have so that Ferroseed has no trouble setting up entry hazards, especially Rhydon as Ferroseed can deal with its checks as well - Emboar is banned, replace this mention with Incineroar. also clawitzer and charizard are pretty terrible, Vaporeon and Magmortar as the respective mentions probably makes more sense here
  • Fighting-types are also troublesome as their attacks are super effective to Ferroseed therefore Pokemon such as Uxie and Spiritomb that can deal with these Fighting-types will make helpful teammates, additionally Uxie can also set Stealth Rock which allows Ferroseed to run Spikes and stack the entry hazards for extra effect - you should probably mention Slowbro here as well as Uxie, since it checks fightings more consistently
  • Pokemon that assist Ferroseed with taking care of entry hazard bouncing Xatu and other entry hazard removers such as Sneasel and Mismagius, the latter assists Ferroseed by spinblocking while also being able to use Taunt to make the opposing Pokemon unable to use Defog or use Will-O-Wisp to cripple opposing Fighting-types

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Ferroseed cannot afford to replace any of its current moves as all of its moves are very important although it can replace Gyro Ball with Bullet Seed to deal super effective STAB damage to break Sturdy, however, Ferroseed's Speed stat won't be taken advantage of while more Pokemon can switch into Bullet Seed than Gyro Ball as it does less damage than the latter

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fire-types**: Powerful Fire-types such as Magmortar and Incineroar can easily OHKO Ferroseed due to its 4x weakness to Fire-type moves and can easily resist a Gyro Ball. However, these Fire-types can be trouble if Ferroseed uses Thunder Wave or Knock Off on them on the switch as they may not appreciate being paralyzed or having their potentially precious item being removed. Leech Seed can also be a hassle if hit on the switch as it can use Protect and Iron Barbs to stall and wear down the Fire-types so that Ferroseed's teammates can take them out later.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types too are good checks to Ferroseed as they may mind Knock Off and Thunder Wave on the switch but they do not mind Gyro Ball at all. They can also respond with powerful STAB moves that can KO Ferroseed. Fighting-types that can check Ferroseed include Hitmonlee and Sawk although they need to be careful into being Choice-locked if Ferroseed uses Protect and then is replaced with a Fighting-type check that doesn't mind the currently locked move. - Medicham is better than hitmonlee, so replace that here, also mention that Ferroseed can protect HJK and make Medi take 50%

**Xatu**: Xatu doesn't mind all of Ferroseed's moves bar Knock Off, Leech Seed, and Thunder Wave, which means it can switch into more common Ferroseed variations while it is setting up entry hazards so that they can be bounced thanks to Xatu's ability in Magic Bounce. However, Xatu may not appreciate getting its health sapped by Leech Seed and stalled by with Protect as it can wear Xatu down while Ferroseed's Gyro Ball can 6HKO it while Psychic, its strongest move against Ferrosseed can only 7HKO it. - Magic Bounce bounces back Thunder Wave and Leech Seed, so remove those mentions

**Substitute Sweepers**: Pokemon brought in safely by pivoting into Ferroseed and setting up Substitute are not affected by Thunder Wave or Leech Seed and therefore take advantage of Ferroseed if they resist Gyro Ball, as they can use it as setup fodder. These Substitute sweepers include Houndoom and Vivillon.

Faster Taunt users that resist Steel-type moves or are Defensive such as Golbat and Jellicent can tank all of Ferroseed's Gyro Balls and force Ferroseed to switch unable to set entry hazards or at least do any significant harm.

(this doesn't mean much, though, since xatu roost stalls ferroseed and will eventually kill it due to rocky helmet.) (xatu more commonly runs night shade now, which 3hkos.) the quoted point was more about making sure that they don't have coverage before switching in, whereas the point in the usage tips is more about what to do when ferroseed's already on the field, though i can see the confusion. ignore that part for now, but implement if it happens to come up later or smth.

  • Ferroseed has access to great bulk with the Eviolite and a good defensive typing which allows it to switch into nine different typings it resists such as Grass-, Fairy-, Electric-, and Water-types, Pokemon Ferroseed can switch into include Offensive Pivot Whimsicott, Diancie, and Samurott while it checks non Focus Blast Heliolisk these examples are kinda bad, "offensive pivot whimsicott"?, just say for examples diancie, whimsicott, heliolisk lacking focus blast, and samurott, in that order of vaiability
  • Ferroseed is an adept entry hazard setter as it is able to set either Stealth Rock or Spikes by using the switches it forces as an opportunity to set them the main reason it's a good hazard setter is due to its ability to come in on threats like whimsi or aromatisse with ease and set up rocks on a switch, emphasis this more on this point
  • A great utility movepool compliments its Iron Barbs ability as Ferroseed can recover its HP with a decent recovery option with Leech Seed and stall for sufficient health with Protect which irks the opposing Pokemon especially if its a physical attacker as it will take additional damage this point is kinda convoluted, just shorten it down

  • Alternatively, Spikes can be set in stacks to deal more residual damage than Stealth Rock or be set alongside it, although it is harder to set up stacks and doesn't effect as much Pokemon as Stealth Rock does due to it dealing more residual damage to more of Ferroseed's checks, emphasis spikes are usually only used if the team doesn't already have a rocker

  • Ferroseed should use Leech Seed on Pokemon it can wall to recover HP, especially if they're a physical attacker so that Ferroseed can deal even more chip damage with Iron Barbs and use Protect to stall the opposing Pokemon, it should also use Leech Seed on forced switches merge this point with the one above
  • Aside from stalling in conjunction with Leech Seed, Protect can be used to scout opposing Pokemon's coverage from the likes of Heliolisk and Diancie or Choice-locked moves so Ferroseed and its teammates can be wary of them later in the game, it can also be used to damage High Jump Kick users like Medicham and Hitmonlee although excess use of Protect can in turn allow opposing Pokemon to obtain a setup opportunity
  • Ferroseed can also lead to cripple fast Pokemon such as Scyther and Accelgor think more along the lines of passimian or houndoom with Thunder Wave or Knock Off early-game or set up entry hazards relatively early as it can take advantage of other Rock-type entry hazard leads although it can also be risky due to coverage moves
  • Ferroseed can switch into Toxic for its teammates that may fear it as they may be sweepers or need their longevity, but Ferroseed again should be careful as it may force switches in these situations to find opportunities to set entry hazards but it should always be careful of coverage moves
  • Since Ferroseed needs its Eviolite to maintain its bulk it should avoid Knock Off as without its Eviolite it will be more vulnerable to powerful attackers such as Tauros and Absol tauros..? tauros is awful. think more like vanilluxe or sneasel or rotom etc
  • Ferroseed should generally watch out for Xatu due to its ability to deflect its entry hazards and Thunder Wave, however, Ferroseed should predict if Xatu will switch in or not and counter it by switching in a Xatu check as otherwise Xatu threatens Ferroseed with Night Shade

Team Options
========

  • Pokemon that appreciate Ferroseed's ability to set up entry hazards and block Toxic include Dodrio and Sceptile as they can use the extra chip damage to sweep more efficiently while avoid the dangerous Toxic that can harm their longevity dodrio is also not worth mentioning, just think scarfers or fast breakers that like having hazards stacked, more like passimian, sceptile works, helio, croak etc, just pick out some more viable mons and some you're famailar with
  • Ferroseed is 4x weak to Fire-type moves from the likes of Magmortar and Incineroar, Houndoom, and Magmortar (for future reference list every mon in order of viability, and mention the most viable ones) therefore Fire-type checks such as Vaporeon and Rhydon are handy teammates to have so that Ferroseed has no trouble setting up entry hazards, especially Rhydon as Ferroseed can deal with its checks as well
  • Fighting-types are also troublesome as their attacks are super effective to Ferroseed therefore Pokemon such as Uxie and Slowbro that can deal with these Fighting-types will make helpful teammates, additionally Uxie can also set Stealth Rock which allows Ferroseed to run Spikes and stack the entry hazards for extra effect
  • Pokemon such as Sneasel and Mismagius assist Ferroseed with taking care of the entry hazard bouncing Xatu and other entry hazard removers, Mismagius especially assists Ferroseed by spinblocking while also being able to use Taunt to make the opposing Pokemon unable to use Defog or use Will-O-Wisp to cripple opposing Fighting-types

===================
**Fire-types**: Powerful Fire-types such as Magmortar and (read above) Incineroar can easily OHKO Ferroseed due to its 4x weakness to Fire-type moves and can easily resist a Gyro Ball.

**Xatu**: Xatu doesn't mind all of Ferroseed's moves bar Knock Off which means it can switch into many Ferroseed variations while it is setting up entry hazards or using Leech Seed or Thunder Wave as they can be bounced thanks to Xatu's ability in Magic Bounce. If Ferroseed doesn't switch, Xatu can Roost stall it and 3HKO it with Night Shade.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types too are good checks to Ferroseed as they may mind Knock Off and Thunder Wave on the switch but they do not mind Gyro Ball at all. They can also respond with powerful STAB moves that can KO Ferroseed. Fighting-types that can check Ferroseed include Medicham and Passimian although they need to be careful into being Choice-locked as if Ferroseed uses Protect, Medicham will take crash damage while it can switch into a Fighting-type check.

**Substitute Sweepers**: Pokemon brought in safely by pivoting into Ferroseed and setting up Substitute are not affected by Thunder Wave or Leech Seed and therefore take advantage of Ferroseed if they can take many Gyro Balls, as they can use it as setup fodder. These Substitute sweepers include Klinklang and Braviary.

**Taunt**: Since Ferroseed uses three status moves in its moveset, it is highly susceptible and affected by Taunt unless it uses Protect in time. Faster Taunt users that resist Steel-type moves or are Defensive such as Golbat and Jellicent can tank all of Ferroseed's Gyro Balls and force Ferroseed to switch unable to set entry hazards or at least do any significant harm.
nice work, 2/3

Don't think Knock Off + T-Wave is good enough for a slash personally, having a STAB move to actually kill Fairies with is pretty big with Whimsicott, Diancie and Taunt Comfey in the tier. Just mention them in the Moves section without slashing imo. You also need to de-emphasize them in the Overview and Usage Tips and such.

Also it's a small detail but I think Spikes should be slashed before SR. Ferroseed's usually paired with a different rocker, so Spikes tends to be more common/arguably more useful when there aren't too many good Spikers.
Maximum investment in HP and Def combined with 4 SpD EVs allow Ferroseed to maximize its bulk to its fullest potential in conjunction with the Eviolite and a Relaxed or Impish nature, this all allows Ferroseed to tank more moves more comfortably while also preventing OHKOs from super effective attacks such as a High Jump Kick from Hitmonlee, which with bulk enhancements is now a 2HKO.
Hitmonlee's a pretty poor example to list because you shouldn't be staying in on it anyway. Replace it with Pokemon that Ferroseed can actually handle, like say Klinklang.

Also mention a specially defensive EV spread somewhere to better deal with Fairies and Heliolisk.

Tag me back when you've done this and I'll stamp Conni

One more thing, for the first sentence in Team Option it's better to list offensive Pokemon that specifically work well with Ferroseed. Just listing random ones is kinda pointless when all Pokemon enjoy hazard support.

Looks good, QC 3/3

AM GP check, feel free to wait on implementing this

[OVERVIEW]

Ferroseed boasts itself as a very adept entry hazard setter thanks to its great bulk, (AC) in conjunction with the Eviolite, (AC) while also possessing and an amazing defensive typing which allows it to resist nine different typings such as common Grass- (AH), Fairy- (AH), Electric- (AH), and Water-types such as Whimsicott, Diancie, non Focus Blast Heliolisk, and Samurott,(RC).(period) (this sentence is way too long) and use this as an advantage to switch into its teammate's threats and use the forced switch as an oppertunity Thanks to its defensive typing, Ferroseed finds many opportunities to set up entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes. Pokemon from these respective typings that Ferroseed can switch into include Diancie, Whimsicott, non Focus Blast Heliolisk, and Samurott. (this sounds more fluid directly after you mentioned its resistances, not after you talk about hazards) Aside from entry hazard setting moves, Ferroseed also has access to a great utility movepool consisting of Leech Seed, Gyro Ball, and Protect, (AC) all of which can all perform different roles such as stalling and dealing adequate damage. However, Ferroseed's defensive typing does indeed have some flaws as it leaves Ferroseed it vulnerable to Fire- and Fighting-type Pokemon such as Incineroar and Hariyama,(RC) respectively, and as well as coverage moves which allows Pokemon that it walls such as from Slowbro and Silvally-Steel to deal harmful damage to it. Another con Ferroseed's has is that its lackluster offensive capabilities pale in comparison to its defensive capabilities which makes it setup bait to setup sweepers such as Braviary and Klinklang, especially if they have Substitute to protect themselves from Ferroseed's utility moves and Gyro Ball, such as Braviary and Klingklang.

Moves
========

Spikes is a great entry hazard move Ferroseed has access to as it can that deals efficient adequate residual damage to opposing Pokemon, especially if Spikes is are stacked the maximum amount of times which deals even more residual damage. Having aAccess to Spikes also allows Ferroseed's team to have a Stealth Rock setter to further increase residual damage. Stealth Rock is Ferroseed's alternative entry hazard setting move which it can use to deal extra residual damage to opposing Pokemon, effectively wearing them down which makes it easier for Ferroseed's teammates to take care of the worn down Pokemon. Stealth Rock also does extra damage to common Pokemon such as Incineroar, Vanilluxe, and Braviary, although without running Spikes more entry hazards cannot be stacked. Leech Seed is Ferroseed's only means of recovery, (AC) which allows allowing it to gain bits of health back while also simultaneously sapping the opponent's health which allows it to stall and deal adequate chip damage in conjunction with Protect and Iron Barbs, respectively. (Iron Barbs is irrelevant in Moves; plus, what if you Leech Seed a special attacker?) Gyro Ball is Ferroseed's only method of primary STAB attack damage which and works well with Ferroseed's sluggish Speed stat, (AC) as it makes it very powerful which increases damage output and prevents it from becoming setup fodder to most Pokemon. Knock Off can be used over Gyro Ball to remove opposing Pokemon's items off Pokemon to and make them less efficient at their role, (AC) or more vulnerable for Ferroseed's teammates to prey on them later although, (RC) it does less damage overall and makes it easier for opposing setup sweepers to use Ferroseed as setup bait. (move this sentence below the one about Protect, since Protect is in the main set but Knock Off isn't) As aforementioned Protect allows Ferroseed to stall with Leech Seed, but another primary purpose is that Ferroseed can and scout out opposing coverage moves to be wary of in the future while also scouting and Choice-locked moves Pokemon.(period) so that Ferroseed's teammates can take advantage of the Choice-locked Pokemon if they don't mind it. Thunder Wave allows Ferroseed to spread status, preferably early-game, to and cripple fast Pokemon, especially switch-ins to Ferroseed so that they can be eliminated with less difficulty later in the game by Ferroseed's teammates.

Maximum HP and Defense investment in HP and Def combined with 4 SpD EVs in conjunction with Eviolite and a Relaxed nature allow maximize Ferroseed's bulk, AC (maximizing is equivalent to fullest potential) to maximize its bulk to its fullest potential in conjunction with the Eviolite and a Relaxed or Impish nature, this all allows Ferroseed allowing it to tank more take moves hits more comfortably,(RC).(period) for example, Gear Grind from Klingklang which allows Ferroseed to easily switch into it and set up entry hazards or Leech Seed. (this is too specific of an example to be in Set Details) 0 IVs with the aforementioned and a Relaxed nature is ideal are required for Ferroseed to become as sluggish slow as possible to allow and maximize Gyro Ball's damage output. to do maximum damage alongside a STAB boost which helps aid Ferroseed's lacking offensive capabilities. Iron Barbs, as mentioned above, can be used to allows Ferroseed to punish opposing Pokemon with using contact moves.(period) (include how exactly it punishes them) while also allowing and allows Ferroseed to deal adequate chip damage and stall Pokemon thanks to Leech Seed and Protect. (Leech Seed and Protect are irrelevant in Set Details; describing what the ability does is sufficient)

Usage Tips
========

Ferroseed should generally switch into Pokemon it walls such as Slowbro, Whimsicott, and non Focus Blast Heliolisk to force them to switch out and use utilize the opportunity to set up entry hazards, use Thunder Wave on paralyze its switch-ins, or use Leech Seed. Leech Seed should be used when Ferroseed is in need of healing or when it can take advantage of a to stall physical attackers where it can then use with Iron Barbs and Protect to stall them out and inflict sufficient chip damage which can wear the opponent down very easily. Protect should be used to scout opposing coverage moves from the likes of Diancie and Heliolisk that otherwise pose a problem to Ferroseed, making it wary of these moves which allows it to predict if the opponent will use the coverage move or not which can make certain situations safer. Additionally if Ferroseed When facesing a Pokemon that utilizes a Choice item, use Protect can be used to see what move has been Choice-locked used.(period) which This allows Ferroseed and its teammates to make more accurate decisions accordingly; to the locked move and the Pokemon, furthermore, (AC) it can take advantage of High Jump Kick users such as Medicham effectively scouting and dealing damage to them. If Ferroseed runs Thunder Wave, it can use it to cripple fast switch-ins early-game such as Houndoom and Passimian, which cripples as this hinders their offensive capabilities and allows its Ferroseed's teammates to take care of them as otherwise they may threaten Ferroseed sooner or later in the game. Ferroseed can use its defensive typing to also assist its teammates, especially set up sweeping onesers, by switching into Toxic;(semicolon) however, it should which it is immune to so it can take the blow for its teammates which may fear it, although Ferroseed needs to be extremely cautious of potential coverage moves and being lured. Knock Off is a big problem for Ferroseed and should be avoided at all costs as the bulk provided by the Eviolite is important for Ferroseed it to maintain its overall bulk and ability to switch in comfortably, therefore, avoiding Knock Off in general allows it to not be preyed on as easily by the likes of against Pokemon like Vanilluxe and Absol. (doesn't Absol run Knock Off though?) Lastly, Ferroseed should generally stay away from Xatu as it can bounce back most of Ferroseed's moves such as Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Leech Seed while also threatening it with Night Shade, therefore predicting when Xatu will switch in allows Ferroseed to effectively lure it.

Team Options
========

Pokemon such as Scrafty and Dragon Dance Rhydon appreciate Ferroseed's ability to set up entry hazards, spread paralysis, switch into Toxic,
(personally I'd switch Toxic and paralysis sections as Thunder Wave isn't even on the main set) and deal additional chip damage as it allows them to perform their offensive roles with less hindrances. Fire-types such as Incineroar and Houndoom are very troublesome to Ferroseed due to theirm using dangerous 4x super effective STAB moves on it,(RC).(period) therefore Fire-type checks Water- and Rock-types such as Vaporeon and Rhydon are useful to check the aforementioned Fire-types so Ferroseed's safety are in good hands which allows it to set up entry hazards without worry, furthermore, Ferroseed can also help too as it can deal with Rhydon's checks which and forms a have good defensive synergy together. Fighting-type Pokemon are also threatening to Ferroseed as they can deal super effective damage,(RC);(semicolon) therefore,(AC) making Psychic-type Pokemon such as Slowbro and Uxie make for good teammates thanks to their ability to take care of handle Fighting-types,(RC).(period) while the latter Uxie deserves a special mention, as it can set up Stealth Rock which and allows Ferroseed to run Spikes accordingly. Pokemon such as Sneasel and Mismagius can take care of the troublesome Xatu and a significant amount of other entry hazard removers,(RC).(period) Mismagius in particular is exceedling exceedingly helpful by also being able to spinblock,(AC) and usinge Taunt to render Defog unusable,(AC) for the time being while additionally and using Will-O-Wisp to cripple opposing Fighting-types with Will-O-Wisp.

Ferroseed's main movepool is very important as it allows it to perform its ability role to the fullest extent, (AC) which usually doesn't allow it to run many alternative countermeasures to specific targets, although moves.(period) one notable change to the main movepool is that Bullet Seed can be used as an less common alternative to Gyro Ball as it does significant (significant is subjective - give some examples of targets that Bullet Seed hits harder to justify) STAB damage while also breaking Sturdy and Focus Sashes,(RC).(period) hHowever, this leaves Ferroseed's low Speed stat unused while and Bullet Seed is generally outclassed as an offensive move by Gyro Ball;(semicolon) which then this allows opponents to switch into Ferroseed with less difficulty and possibly set up on it therefore making Gyro Ball a better choice. (you state that Bullet Seed is an alternative because it does significant damage but directly afterwards state it is weaker offensively, so remember to add specific examples) A Sspecially Ddefensive EV spread allows Ferroseed to switch into Fairy-types more comfortably into Fairy-types, most of which are special attackers, and as well as other special attackers such as Heliolisk that use moves Ferroseed resists such as Heliolisk,.(period) hHowever, this leaves Ferroseed vulnerable to more of its common checks which are physical attackers.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types too are good checks to Ferroseed due to their powerful STAB attacks;(semicolon) as they may mind Knock Off and Thunder Wave on the switch but they do not mind Gyro Ball at all. however, they should be wary of Knock Off and Thunder Wave. They can also respond with powerful STAB moves that can KO Ferroseed. Fighting-types that can check Ferroseed include Medicham and Passimian, (AC) although they need to be careful into being Choice-locked as if Ferroseed uses Protect, Medicham will take crash damage while it can switch into a Fighting-type check. (also include why Passimian needs to be careful; you only stated reasoning for Medicham but said "they")

**Substitute Sweepers**: Pokemon brought in safely by pivoting into Ferroseed and setting up Substitute are not affected by Thunder Wave or Leech Seed and therefore take advantage of Ferroseed if they can take many Gyro Balls, as they can use it Ferroseed as setup fodder if Gyro Ball does not break their Substitute. These Substitute sweepers include Klinklang and Braviary.

**Taunt**: Since Ferroseed uses three status moves in its moveset, it is highly susceptible and affected by to Taunt unless it uses Protect in time. Faster Taunt users that resist Steel-type moves or are Ddefensive such as Golbat and Jellicent Jellicent and Golbat can tank all of Ferroseed's Gyro Balls and force Ferroseed to switch, (AC) as it is unable to set up entry hazards or at least do any significant harm. (you already said they take little damage from Gyro Ball in the sentence)

Moves
========

Spikes deals residual damage to opposing Pokemon, especially if Spikes are stacked the maximum amount of times. Access to Spikes also allows Ferroseed's team to have a Stealth Rock setter to further increase residual damage. Stealth Rock is Ferroseed's alternative entry hazard move, damaging opposing Pokemon on the switch-in switch and weakening key threats such as Incineroar, Vanilluxe, and Braviary, although without running Spikes, more entry hazards cannot be stacked. Thunder Wave allows Ferroseed to spread status and cripple fast Pokemon so that they can be eliminated with less difficulty later in the game by Ferroseed's teammates.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense investment in conjunction with Eviolite and a Relaxed nature maximizes maximize Ferroseed's bulk, allowing it to take hits more comfortably. 0 IVs and a Relaxed nature are required for Ferroseed to become as slow as possible and maximize Gyro Ball's damage output. Iron Barbs allows Ferroseed to punish opposing Pokemon using contact moves by dealing chip damage to them in turn.

Usage Tips
========

Ferroseed can use its defensive typing to assist its teammates, especially set up setup sweepers, by switching into Toxic; however, it should be extremely cautious of potential coverage moves. Knock Off is a big problem for Ferroseed and should be avoided at all costs,(AC) as the bulk provided by Eviolite is important for it to maintain its overall bulk and ability to switch in comfortably against Pokemon like Vanilluxe. Lastly, Ferroseed should generally stay away from Xatu, as it can bounce back most of Ferroseed's moves such as Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Leech Seed while also threatening it with Night Shade.

Team Options
========

Water- and Rock-types such as Vaporeon and Rhydon are useful to check the aforementioned Fire-types and have good defensive synergy together with Ferroseed. Fighting-type Pokemon are threatening to Ferroseed, as they can deal super effective damage; therefore, Psychic-type Pokemon such as Slowbro and Uxie make for good teammates thanks to their ability to handle Fighting-types. Uxie deserves a special mention, as it can set up Stealth Rock and allows Ferroseed to run Spikes accordingly.

Other Options
=============

Ferroseed's main movepool is very important, as it allows it Ferroseed to perform its role to the fullest extent, which usually doesn't allow it to run many alternative moves. Bullet Seed can be used as a less common alternative to Gyro Ball,(AC) as it has a STAB bonus and does significant STAB damage to Pokemon such as Samurott while also breaking Sturdy and Focus Sashes Sash. However, this leaves Ferroseed's low Speed stat unused and Bullet Seed is generally outclassed as an offensive move by Gyro Ball due to it being able to hit more significant targets; this Bullet Seed allows foes to switch into Ferroseed with less difficulty and possibly set up on it.(period) A specially defensive EV spread allows Ferroseed to switch into Fairy-types more comfortably, most of which are special attackers, as well as other special attackers such as Heliolisk that use moves Ferroseed resists. However, this leaves Ferroseed vulnerable to more of its common checks, which are physical attackers.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fire-types**: Powerful Fire-types such as Incineroar and Houndoom can easily OHKO Ferroseed due to its 4x weakness to Fire and can easily resist a Gyro Ball. However, these Fire-types may be troubled if Ferroseed uses Thunder Wave or Knock Off on the switch,(AC) as they do not appreciate being paralyzed or having their item removed. Leech Seed can be a hassle if hit on the switch, as Ferroseed can use Protect and Iron Barbs to wear down the Fire-types so that Ferroseed's teammates can take them out later.

**Xatu**: Xatu doesn't mind any of Ferroseed's moves bar Knock Off thanks to Magic Bounce, which bounces back entry hazards or and Thunder Wave.

Fighting-types that can check Ferroseed include Medicham and Passimian, although the former needs to be careful into being Choice-(RH)locked,(AC) as if Ferroseed uses Protect, Medicham will take crash damage from High Jump Jick.

I tagged on discord but just in case you didn’t see it, in C&C I only meant to remove the “a”. Keep “Gyro Ball”.
