Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
-Swords Dance
-Roost
-Bullet Punch
-U-turn
Here's the guy I based my team around. I never used mega scizor before, so I thought it'd be a fun experience. While it has been, I find the coverage of its moves to be rather low. I've considered using knock off but with my other pokes, him using u-turn makes for a great volt switch/u-turn core. However, I have a landorus-t that already does that with rotom so is it necessary? What do you guys think? Either way, his role on the team is to mainly sweep late game or just gradually poke pokemon with u-turn. I feel comfortable switching in on a lot of pokemon because of roost. Bullet punch provides that coverage to either revenge kill or force some notable switches (i.e. gardevoir).

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 SpD / 44 Spe
Calm Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Rotom-W provides some great synergy with Scizor. They resist each other's weaknesses and provide that great volt switch/u-turn core. It's role is to burn any opposing physical threats like mega gallade and then v-switch out into something safe. Hydro pump is a great stab move for it, while pain split is what I found to be a more reliable healing option as opposed to rest.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Landorus-T helps my team out with rocks. Ideally, I'll be forcing a lot of switch-outs, so the more damage that racks up, the better. The defensive set makes it so that it can combine with rotom-w for a defensive/specially defensive core and makes it last longer in general. Knock off threatens eviolite pokemon, opposing psychics like lati@s and u-turn furthers my volt switch/u-turn combo.
Kyurem-Black @ Leftovers
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
Mild Nature
- Substitute
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
Since my pokemon will be pivoting out quite often, I thought a wall breaker would make for a great teammate and that's precisely why I chose Kyurem-Black. One of my pokes will pivot out from a wall and then kyurem comes in to either setup or try to take it out. Not only that, but it provides some great pressure with the perfect coverage of ice and electric. A lot of switches will occur and that makes for a great use of substitute. Earth power is the icing on the cake because it's a move that can reliably take out heatrans that might switch in.
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Defog
Lots of u-switches combined with kyurem-b makes for a pretty bad stealth rock weakness. I thought togekiss could provide some good support with that since it's rather bulky and resists kyurem's weaknesses. Also, since it's a flying type, it can come in on spikes without any fear and defog them away. Roost makes it so that it can heal off any damage taken from stealth rock/other pokemans and that paraflinch combo just destroys any pokemon trying to set up on it.
Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Hydro Pump
My team as a whole is pretty slow, so I needed something fast. That's why I chose Keldeo! If something faints, then I can switch keldeo in for dat revenge kill. Scald is spammable, secret sword is great for breaking special walls (I'm looking at you chansey >.>), HP electric is good for unsuspecting gyarados and then hydro pump is clutch when I need something strong. Modest nature works well so that I can hit as hard as possible and choice scarf makes keldeo outspeed most of the metagame anyway.
So yeah! There's my team. It's okay and has been working out pretty well but I still think it's far from being perfect. The reason why I chose the title is because ferrothorn specifically gives my team a really hard time. Any tips for that?
Thanks in advance! :D
