[CAP] Fidgit

175980

Fidgit @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Persistent
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Careful Nature
- Trick Room
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake

Fidgit's signature ability Persistent, made during the time when CAP created custom abilities, allows it to extend Trick Room, Tailwind, and Gravity for two extra turns. Thus, Fidgit makes Trick Room into a viable, consistent playstyle that has varying team structures. Fidgit also provides hazard control and checks dangerous threats like Calm Mind + Pain Split Magearna and Tapu Koko. By running a bulky EV spread, Fidgit can survive strong, super effective attacks like Garchomp's Earthquake and Mega Alakazam's Psychic, act as a sturdier check to Magearna and Tapu Koko, and set up extended Trick Room multiple times per match. These advantages allow Fidgit to support Trick Room sweepers like Mega Mawile, Mega Camerupt, Tapu Bulu, and Hoopa-U, especially alongside secondary Trick Room setters like Slowking and Magearna.

Fidgit's signature ability Persistent, made during the time CAP allowed for custom abilities, allows it to extend Trick Room for two extra turns, making it a staple on CAP Trick Room teams. The point is obviously to highlight Trick Room but since nobody knows what Persistent does, you might want to say that it also extends Tailwind and the like. In fact, it makes Trick Room into a viable, consistent playstyle that has varying team structures. Fidgit also provides hazard control and checks dangerous threats like Calm Mind + Pain Split Magearna, Tapu Koko, and Mega Crucibelle. I don't think Mega Crucibelle's actually hard to deal with for these teams, because most of them have Mega Mawile or Magearna right now. By running a bulky spread, Fidgit can act as a sturdier check to these threats and set up extended Trick Room multiple times per match. These advantages allow Fidgit to support Trick Room sweepers like Mega Mawile, Mega Camerupt, Tapu Bulu, Hoopa-U, and Crawdaunt You already have 4 other examples and Crawdaunt most definitely isn't on par with them, so I don't think Crawdaunt should be mentioned., especially alongside secondary Trick Room setters like Slowking and Magearna.
It's a bit short for a spotlight, but it should be fine.
