So basically, this team has gotten me very high on the Dream World ladder. There are some problems and flaws with this team, but overall, I don't think it's that bad? Well, here we go :D
Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt
How it works: With Prankster as Thundurus' ability, Thundurus is able to stop the setup of Rocks or any other Lead support moves with its Taunt. In addition to the prevention of rocks, Prankster also proves to be very useful mid-game with Thunder Wave.
Example: Thunder Wave will cripple DD'd dragons, or Scarved Pokes without fail.
Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Atk / 164 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Bulldoze
- Power Whip
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
How it works: Aside from setting up rocks, I use Ferrothorn in combination with Thundurus in the crippling process. I originally ran Gyro Ball over Bulldoze, but was getting tired of being stopped by Fire type Pokemon. Though Bulldoze cannot KO Fire pokes due to Ferro's lack of power, it's still nice to hit for some decent damage. The speed reduction is also always nice.
Chandelure (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Energy Ball
How it works: Trap and kill, as simple as that.
Breloom (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Spore
- Swords Dance
Breloom is a recent addition to the team (I ran Haxorus before Breloom). The reason why I switched Haxorus out was because I found that I had nothing to deal with an Excadrill. With Breloom, Excadrill became a little easier to deal with. Breloom stops Excadrill with its Mach Punch.
How it works: Switch in Breloom against something it can take a hit from, and threaten (e.g Tyranitar) and setup via Spore + Swords Dance. After one SD, Breloom has the power to OHKO many Pokemon with its Bullet Seed or Mach Punch. Even without the SD boost, Breloom can still put a dent into many standard Pokes.
Garchomp (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dual Chop
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance
How it works: Gotta love having my Chomp back :D Garchomp is just as good this generation as he was the last. Setup with SD, and Outrage the heck out of the opponent. I use Garchomp as a mid-game to late-game sweeper.
Scrafty (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Atk / 32 Def / 64 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Drain Punch
- Bulk Up
- Ice Punch
- Crunch
How it works: I absolutely love this Scrafty <3 Though Scrafty doesn't look very bulky, you'd be surprised in what this guy can survive. After one Bulk Up, Scrafty can take many beatings from some of the strongest physical sweepers. Outrage from Garchomp will fail to 2HKO.
Notable Problems with the Team:
Zapdos
Excadrill (If Breloom is dead)
Latios
Rain Boosted Pokes
I really do not know how to adjust my team to handle these threats :/ any help would be appreciated.
