Hello, I am Derek and I'm new to these forums (started today, actually).
Anyways, here is my not-yet finished 3-poké team (expect bad natures),
Gengar: lvl 92
Type: Ghost/Poison
Item/Ability: Gengarite|Levitate
Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Somewhat of a clown
Moves:
ShadowBall
Dazzling Gleam
EnergyBall
Protect/Thunderbolt/FocusBlast
Current Stats:
257/126/149/306/182/227
(Hp/Att/Def/Sp.Att/Sp.Def/Spd)
This Gengar, the only OP pokemon I've got, is the bread of this team. With his STAB move, Shadow Ball, he can get rid of Psychic-types and Ghost-types and pulverize Dark*, Dragon and Fighting-types with Dazzling Gleam. Since Mega Evolving Gengar makes him vulnerable against Ground-types, adding Energy Ball REALLY counters it, apart doing damage to Water and Rock-types. Protect was added for defensive play, especially with the butter of the team, Haunter (up next), but can be rearranged with ThunderBolt (good bye, Flying-types!) or Focus Blast (dem nasty Steel-types). As for the Mega, I'd use it as a last resort to dish out mayor damage, especially with a whopping 400+ Sp. Att!!!
That's it for Gengar, now for Haunter, the butter of the team (like mentioned above).
Haunter: lvl 50
Type: Ghost/Poison
Nature: Quite
Characteristic: Capable of taking hits.
Item/Ability:
BlackSludge/Levitate
MoveSet:
Hypnosis
DreamEater
ShadowBall
Substitute
Currents Stats:
125/76/148/81/108
Additional Info: Hatched from the Gengar above.
Ah, the son of the mighty Gengar, now ready to put you to sleep with Hypnosis, unless it failed and turns out you tried attacking it only to make its Substitute to fade away.
Once it puts the opposing pokemon to sleep, Haunter uses Dream Eater not just to recover HP, but to deal damage as well. That's until it throws a barrage of it's STAB move, Shadowball, and finish the battle as easy a 123-ABC. The only mayor drawback is it's lack of offensive power and horrible accuracy with Hypnosis. It is very vulnerable to counters and types that beats Ghost/Poison (namely Psychic*, Dark*, Ghost* and Ground*, if Smack Down, Odor Sleuth, Gastro Acid and/or any other moves or abilities that negates Levitate). With these mayor weaknesses and drawbacks, it cannot stand
alone without the bread, Gengar (if it provides Protect).
As for the 3rd pokemon, I really don't know which one should I use, so I am currenty accepting tips and whatnots.
