First Competative Team (OU)

So, I finally made my first competative team on Pokémon Diamond! The most EV spreads and movesets etc. I got from the Strategy Pokédex. I've tested my team a few times with various battlers. Well, this is the team:

''Goblin'' the Dragonite
149.png

Dragonite @ Life Orb
EV spread: 148 HP / 252 Atk / 110 Speed
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk)
Moveset:
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

Pretty unexpected lead, I start off with Dragon Dance, and then start sweeping. Dragon Claw is just the basic stab move, I chose Dragon Claw over Outrage because of the Confusion with Outrage and in some places you can't lock yourself up in an Outrage. Earthquake is for Tyranitar, Jirachi, Heatran and so on. Fire Punch is for Bronzong leads, Skarmory, Scizor and Forretress.

''5000 gHz'' the Porygon-Z
474.png

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
EV spread: 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Def
Ability: Download
Nature: Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk)
Moveset:
- Tri Attack
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Ice Beam

This Scarf-Z is sure of moving first. It destroys Flygons, Salamences, Dragonites, Hippowdons, Gliscors etc with Ice Beam. Psychic is for countering Machamp and Heracross, Shadow Ball for hitting Alakazam, Gengar and Dusknoirs. I chose Tri Attack over Thunderbolt because of the 20% chanche of Burning, Paralyzing or Freezing the opponent and it's a 80 base power STAB move too.

''ShadeQueen'' the Dusknoir
477.png

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
EV spread: 252 HP / 252 Sp. Def / 4 Def
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Careful (+Sp. Def, -Sp. Atk)
Moveset:
- Will-o-Wisp
- Confuse Ray
- Ice Punch
- Pain Split

This Dusknoir protects me from Special Sweepers, using Will-o-Wisp to Burn the opponent. Confuse Ray confuses the opponent, makes them having a chanche of attacking themself. Pain Split for healing myself and sapping a bit from the other Pokémon. Ice Punch is just for a little damage.

''IronSpike'' the Forretress
205.png

Forretress @ Leftovers
EV spread: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Atk
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Impish (+Def, -Sp. Atk)
Moveset:
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Explosion

My spiker. I know it has a lazy nickname, but I couldn't think of anything better. I'm not sure wich is better, Toxic Spikes, Spikes or Stealth Rock. I gave him Rapid Spin to get rid of the opponent's Spikes, Toxic Spikes or Stealth Rock. Earthquake is for dealing some damage, it works out nicely because of the 68 attack EVs. Explosion is for low HP status.

''Aquamelt'' the Vaporeon
134.png

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
EV spread: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Speed
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
Moveset:
- Surf
- Protect
- Wish
- Ice Beam

My physical wall, it aborbs water attacks with Water Absorb, wich is quite handy. Vaporeon can heal my team members with wish, but also itself, while keeping healthy with Protect. Surf is for some STAB damage. Ice Beam works out quite well, but I thought of replacing it with Toxic, and giving Forretress Stealth Rock. Vaporeon also lures out electric attacks for my Electivire.

''Lektroluv'' the Electivire
466.png

Electivire @ Expert Belt
EV spread: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Ability: Motor Drive
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk)
Moveset:
- ThunderPunch
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Cross Chop

After a Motor Drive boost, this guy is going crazy with ThunderPunch to get down Gyarados and Ice Punch for Dragons or Hippowdons etc. Cross Chop hits Blisseys and Earthquake is for the other enemys. Expert Belt for giving those Super Effective attacks a boost.

That's it, I also thought of replacing Dragonite with a MixMence and take Forretress as lead. So, please give me some comments and critics, I could use them very well. And by the way, sorry for the bad English. :P

Greets, Robinzzz

Ok, first, awesome team and cool nicknames haha. I like how your using the original dragon over the poserr salamence. Nothing I can really see wrong here. But, taunt leads could really screw you up. Weavile is also a huge problem so I suggest you give it a Yache Berry.

PorygonZ - Change Shadow Ball to Dark Pulse because it hits all the pokemon you mentioned and has a chance for flinching to. I would also suggest changing Psychic to Thuinderboplt to hit DD Gyarados hard because, if Electivire doesn't get the speed boost then theres no chance of stopping it. There is another solution to this but I'll get to that a little later on.

Dusknoir - I love dusknoir. I really do. But, I suggest a different EV spread. 252 HP/ 52 Def/ 200 SpD This allows some amazing walling capabilities. Ok, now I have some other suggestions on the moveset. Change Confuse Ray to Shadow Sneak. This can be used as a quick finisher and can 2HKO any offensive Gengar. Now, only if you keep PorygonZ's Psychic, I would change Ice Punch to Thunder Punch. This allows a quick OHKO on him with Stealth Rock damage included. Everything else is good.

The rest of you team is fine. There are a few things I'm conserned about though. Dragonite is probably going to die off early on in the game so I would suggest, even though I HATE him, a Skarmory over Forretress. That's all I can really think of right now so...yeah

i like the Nite lead however Mence outclasses her most of the time, ans especially on a full offensive DD set like this. try him out:

Mence @ Life orb
-Naive/Naughy-
232 Atk / 24 SpA / 252 Spe
DD
Outrage/Dragon Claw
EQ
Fire Blast

Fire Blast > Fire Punch for the nice surprise vs Steels

Like oblivian said using dragonite is pretty cool but i believe that you should have a supporting Lead Set:
Dragonite @ Lum Berry/Yache Berry/Leftovers
Mild Nature
Ability: Inner Focus
EV: HP152/Att114/SpA200/Spd44
Move Set:
1. Thunderbolt/Ice Beam
2. Fire Blast
3. Earthquake/Super Power
4. Thunderwave
Thunderwave is pretty unexpected. You are immune to flinch so lum berry would be helpful for if a pokemon wanted to inflict status onto you then you could heal up and t-wave back and then wipe out the pokemon. If you want to keep dragonite for later maybe you could slap on a yache berry(to stave off an ice attack or leftovers for some general bulk. Well Thunderbolt or Ice Beam depending on whats more dangerous either gyarados or salamence and Earthquake or Super Power depending if you want something to take blissey out with or whether you want something to take out metagross, infernape or anything else weak to earthquake or dies to a physical attack. If you decide to take on the moveset i may have provided, you will have to rework the team but hopefully i have helped. Good luck with your first team.
