Lets just get down to business. Just an fyi that this team is limited to movesets that can be obtained only in-game currently, and has been tested on the OU beta ladder in Showdown a bit.
Pokemon 1
Mamoswine @ Focus Sash
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spd
Jolly Nature.
~ Ice Shard
~ Icicle Crash
~ Earthquake
~ Stealth Rock
Ideally, this will lead for obvious reasons. It's offensive abilities and ability to check dragons is a welcome addition as well. I originally just stuck it on the team just for rocks though. But I found that after testing the team on PS that this thing really helped to keep the now so common Aegislash at least in check. Even without Life Orb (which I was considering to be the item), Jolly EQ does over 70% (i believe) to Shield Form Aegislash. I was considering slotting in Endevour over Icicle Crash, but i feel that puts Mamoswine into a suicide lead role, which I think is an absolute waste. Even with a broken sash, Mamoswine can still do damage to opposing teams.
Pokemon 2
Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry
Trait: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP, 140 Def, 116 Spd
Impish Nature.
~ Shadow Claw
~ Curse
~ Leech Seed
~ Substitute
EDIT: As of now (Nov 13), Trevenant is being axed from this team. I found that forcing dangerous things like mega-Mawile out was cool and all, but so circumstantial that I almost felt like i was playing a pokemon down all the time. I'll re-edit the RMT accordingly after finding a new member.
I admit, that I wanted to try this out after seeing the video that Blame Truth put up on this. Arguably, this may only work on "scrubs". I've always had problems with big set-up sweepers, so Curse is the last resort, almost fool-proof way to force out dangerous things. When subbed up though with almost constant Sitrus Berry recovery, this thing has helped me to stall down walls for the most part (Chesnaught mostly). I have another Trevenant ready with Natural Cure ready and am considering replacing it with a more standard lefties set with 252 Hp/ 252 Def if this proves to be too "gimmicky". The speed is to help outspeed slower walls that usually don't invest in speed and get a sub up.
Pokemon 3
Chandelure @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpAtk, 4 SpDef, 252 Spd
Modest Nature.
~ Flamethrower
~ Shadow Ball
~ Substitute
~ Pain Split
I noticed that I was building my team, I had a horrible fire weakness. Having one immunity is a good place to start. And also having a powerful specially based fire attacker really helps. Breaks down bulky steal types no problem. I decided on the Sub-Split set because I have no spinner on this team. It gives Chandelure more staying power, and helps to ease prediction.
Pokemon 4
Rotom-W @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 Hp, 28 SpAtk, 232 SpDef.
Calm Nature.
~ Hydro Pump
~ Volt Switch
~ Will-o-Wisp
~ Rest
Originally, I had a Blastoise in this role as a rapid spinner. But I found that given who I had on the team before, rapid spin wasn't really needed. Rotom-W gives more utility. It's another alternative to help check Aegislash since Will-o-wisp goes through King's Shield. I also like the fact that it completes the fire-water-grass core, and gives my team a ground immunity. Also checks damn galewings talonflame too. The fact that it is a solid answer to Gliscor too is another added bonus. Volt Switch also works well with the next team member.
Pokemon 5
Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 Hp, 252 Atk, 8 Spd
Adamant Nature.
~ U-Turn
~ Bullet Punch
~ Pursuit
~ Brick Break
Volt-Turn with Rotom-W plus an additional way to hit the new Fairy types hard. Rotom patches up Scizor's weaknesses. Though the only thing I would like to ask regarding the set is if Pursuit for this set is a better option than the newly buffed Thief. As you guys can start to see now, I like to have a lot of priority. And there is more to come.
Pokemon 6
Lucario @ Lucarionite
Trait: Inner Focus (Then becomes Adaptability)
EVs: 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spd
Adamant nature.
~ Close Combat
~ ExtremeSpeed
~ Shadow Claw
~ Swords Dance
Of course I needed to slap on a powerful Mega on the team. I picked Lucario specifically for Adaptability Close Combat and access to ExtremeSpeed (which out-prioritizes Talonflame). Bullet Punch would be an option, but given how much of a pain breeding it on is, I settled for ExtremeSpeed. Being able to deal with Gengar right after an SD would be nice though. i have 2 other forms of priority which can hit Genger, so I don't think that it's that big of an issue. Shadow Claw is there because I forgot to breed Crunch, but I feel that the chance to crit is worth the 10 base power trade off.
Problems: Off the top of my head, I hate the fact that I don't have a scarfer. One thing I would like is suggestions for a good scarfer which works well with the team. I think that 3 powerful priority users help me get around that though. Does that work? Also, Protean Greninja has been a bit problematic for me since it can hit close to everything on my team for at least neutral damage and is so fast to boot. I've relied on being at full health with Scizor and tanking a hit, U-Turing out to Lucario to get a free chance to Mega-Evolve and finish the job off with E-Speed.
Anyway, here is the team. Hope to hear from you guys.
