Just a reminder that this is my very first RMT so if it's not super detailed then I'm sorry.
The start of this team was with Thunderus because of his useful prankster ability. I thought that this would only be effective in a rain team so Drizzy had to join the party.
- Lil' Drizzy
Politoed@ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
Nature: Modest
EV's: 196 HP/ 62 Def/ 252 Sp. Atk.
- Hydro Pump
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power(Electric)
- Ice Beam
When I thought of drizzy, I knew that I wasn't going to run the hypnotoed set. I've tried before and to no success. I needed something that would hit harder and still win weather battles so Choice Specs was the winner. It hits like a truck and not many things can deal with it without getting too hurt. This EV spread allows it to be slightly bulkier then other drizzytoeds giving it pretty evened out defensive stats.
-FerroFucc
Ferrothorn@ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Sassy
EV's: 124 HP/ 134 Def/ 252 Sp. Def
- Protect
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
After I got drizzy, I knew that I'd need a nice wall and who better then the #1 used pokemon in OU. Ferrothorn. He is a fantastic poke and gets spikes out like no ones business. Knowing that with Thundurus I would be paralyzing pretty much everything, I knew that Gyro Ball wouldn't be the best pick so I opted for Power Whip. After much Testing, I decided I'd take accuracy over power.
I originally had a 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 Sp. Def EV spread because I thought that in rain most people would be attacking it from the Sp. Def side anyways but I prefer an overall rounded out defensive side.
-Chachi
Jirachi@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Impish
EV's: 156 HP/ 96 Atk/ 112 Sp. Def./ 144 Speed.
- Trick
- Thunder Wave
- Iron Head
- Body Slam/Stealth Rocks
Then comes the addition of Jirachi. I thought a Rachi/Thundurus combo would be great. It is the paraflinch master. The only reason I have body slam and T-wave, is because I needed to make sure that it would paralyze everything. Choice Scarf is there to cripple the chanseys/blisseys/and any wall in general or pokemon that need to set up like SD Scizor.
These Evs allow Rachi to still pack a punch while keeping it bulky. this entire team is bulky haha.
-Blackballz
Thundurus@ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Bold
EV's: 248 HP/ 144 Def/ 116 Sp. Def.
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
- Thunder
- Hidden Power (Ice)
This has been a very fun set for me. Usually when you bring it in, they think it's a sweeper so I almost always go for the Sub. and if they attack you, then just T-wave them. The prankster ability is phenomenal and makes this thing very bulky especially with the EV spread. You have Thunder because of the rain, so it's a 100% hit rate. and the HP Ice is for the Landbro's/ Gliscors and other dragons this team has a bit of trouble with.
-Bonghit
Bronzong @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Impish
EV's: 252 HP/ 62 Def/ 196 Sp. Def
IV: 0 Speed.
- Stealth Rocks/Earthquake
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Earthquake
Knowing that my team was a little defense lacking, I would need a dual screener. The only pokemon that came to mind was Bronzong. He gets rocks and screens up. I tried Gyro Ball over EQ but came to the conclusion that EQ was a better choice.
-TheClamps
Scizor@ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Nature: Careful
EV's: 78 HP/ 252 Atk/ 180 Sp. Def
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- U-Turn
- Bullet Punch
Lastly is my Scizor. He is awesome and he is quite bulky. He comes in late game to sweep and takes care of other walls if Rachi can't get to them first. His EV spread allows him to survive most fire moves with ease and pick them off. I did try a fail Dragonite set with surf and whatever but yeah..obviously it sucked ha.
So there is my team. Hope you enjoy and I would really appreciate any help.
