First ever competitive team 4th gen

How you guy doing.

My team is based on getting azleaf out as a lead and get up the refelct and ligth screen and stelth rock. While using allot of special and pyschally strong pokemon. While having blissy to use wish and heal them. I am sorry but I am new to this. Sorry if I cannot explain well enough.

Here is my team

Azleaf @Light Clay
Ability Levitate
Ev 252hp/252spA/4SpD
Jolly nature.

Move set.
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion

He is my lead because like I said above I want to bring him out get up the screens and stealth rock. Then switch to my beaters.

Gengar(M) @Leftovers
Ability Levitate
Ev 56HP/255SPA/196speed
Quite Nature

Move Set
-Knock off
-Psychic
-Shadow ball
-Thunder Bolt

Gengar is used for a straight special attack sweeper. Knock can help me with scarf Pokemon (I believe so). Shadow Ball and Psychic are power full and from what I seen most of the meta is fighting and psychic. Thunder bolt is because I have no eltric mones on my team and I figure why not put it on Gengar because of his high Special Attack.

Blissy(F) @leftovers
Ability Natural Cure
Ev 252hp/252DEF/4spA
Bold Nature

Move Set
-Wish
-Protect
-Ice beam
-Toxic

Blissy is here for two reasons. One being to cast a wish and heal one of my big sweepers. And two to poison and make it easier for my sweepers.

Fotress(M) @Leftovers
Abilty Overcoat
Ev 252HP/64ATK/192DEF
Impish Nature

Move Set
-Earthquake
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Hidden Power (water)

He is here to set up spikes for my team and make my sweepers jobs easier. Rapid spin protect e from entry hazards. Hidden power is water because I do not have a water type move on my team. Same as earthquake.

Machamp(M) @Choice Band
Abbilty Guts
EV 252HP/252ATK/4SPA
Adamant Nature

Move Set
-Close Counter
-Payback
-Ice Punch
-Fire Punch

He is just my physical sweeper. I am not sure what to explain. Sorry I am very new to this.

Zcizor(M)@Leftovers
Ability Swarm
Ev 200HP/252ATK/56speed
Adamant Nature

Move Set
-Bullet Punch
-U-turn
-Pursuit
-Superpower

He is just another sweeper. The whole point of this team to create protection and entry hazards and sweep with the high attackers.

Does anybody have suggestions?

I would recommend Nature Power with a Water-Type berry, as Forretress has a monstrous (For a wall, that is) base 90 Atk and a measly 60-ish SpAtk. For more information, search Nature Power on Google.

Thank you so much. Is there anything else you see that can be fixed? Oh and what do you recommend me to replace it with? I am using the battle simulator and it says fortress cannot learn nature power.

Forretress can't have Overcoat in the 4th Gen.

You might also want to expand your descriptions so we can get a better view of how your team works. Doing that will also save your thread from being locked under violation of Rule #3.

Okay, first of all do NOT use Nature Power on Forretress. He has better things to be doing with his fourth moveslot and his item choice. He should be running Payback and Leftovers/Shed Shell. Not having a Water type is no reason to burden Forry with a horrible, one-time use move that takes away his item.

Get rid of Knock Off on Gengar. He's too powerful and frail to waste his time being annoying. Try out Focus Blast so you aren't walled by Tyranitar.

Change Scizor's ability to Technician. Technician Bullet Punch is really the biggest reason he's so good, so you're only hurting yourself by using Swarm.

Machamp should have No Guard as his ability and DynamicPunch over Close Combat for the same reason.

Those are some really basic things you need to change. I can't give this team an in-depth rate because your descriptions are really lacking. Who is your main sweeper? What will you do if Azelf gets Taunted? What is your strategy against key threats (especially Infernape?) If you write more in-depth, I can give you a much better analysis.

Good luck!
