Swampert (M) [Everglade]@Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Atk/ 252 Def
Relaxed (+Def, -Spe)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
My lead, sets up the rocks and gets the ball rolling. This also serves as a PseudoHazer with Roar and a counter to Dragon and what not. EVs are straightforward, HP and Defense for maximum survivability and Attack so Quake does that much more against Tyranitar. I was messing with Protect over Roar so I can scout moves and block Explosions. Roar has been working well and scouts for pokemon so I can see what they have to counter me. Swampert versus top 10 leads:
Azelf - Most of them are going to Taunt me so I Ice Beam, watch them SR, Ice Beam again, when I feel they are going to explode I switch to Rotom quick.
Metagross - First I stealth rock, then Earthquake or Ice Beam. I use Ice Beam because if they were to switch to a EQ resist it usually it them harder.
Swampert - Stealth Rock then switch to Blissey to Toxic.
Aerodactyl - Again they will Taunt me first, so I Ice Beam til its dead or if they switch, then I SR.
Jirachi - I hate this Scarved trick. If it's the Scarf version I just SR and switch to Infernape.
Infernape - It'll fake out, I will SR, EQ. What kills me is if the rare Grass Knot is on it.
Roserade - I will switch out to Blissey/Infernape/Scizor to take the grass move, then switch to Gyara to take the Sleep. He comes back later to set up Rocks.
Heatran - SR switch to Rotom. It usually sets up and BOOMS.
Smeargle - Switch to Gyara to take the Sleep, then switch to anything.
Hippowdon - SR then Ice Beam or switch to Rotom. This thing can get really really annoying.
Synergy:
Grass - Scizor, Infernape, and Rotom.
Blissey (F) [Ovaries]@Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Def/ 252 SDef
Calm (+SDef, - Atk)
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Wish
Blissey is well, Blissey. She's a sponge for all sorts of Special Attacks. Protect to scout moves and extra turn of Leftovers. Toxic for bulky waters, overall threats that are a little hard to beat. Max Defense so it can take unSTABed physical attacks better. Wish support is pretty great.
Synergy:
Fighting - Gyarados and Rotom.
Gyarados (M) [Whiro]@Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SDef
Impish (+Def, SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
My my this thing is beautiful. It takes sleep/status for the team. It's a brutally attacking tank after a few Dragon Dances. It is problematic when facing bulky waters, but I usually try to take them out of the picture. Gyara can take a lot of physical abuse, especially when you factor in Intimidate.
Synergy:
Electric - Swampert/Blissey.
Scizor (M) [Armanti]@Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/ 252 Atk/ 8 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- U-Turn
Great revenge killer. It has a spit load full of resistances which makes it great for switching in to attacks. Very standard, but it gets the job done. I was kind of thinking to replace it with something that can hit a lot harder with moves that aren't resisted by bulky waters. Bullet Punch for amazing Priority, Superpower hits things hard and if I can predict right knock out something unexpected. U-Turn is a great scouting move. Pursuit is a trapper, getting mainly Latias and Celebi.
Synergy:
Fire - Infernape
Rotom-h [Toaster]@Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/ 168 Def/ 88 Spe
Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Will o' Wisp
Rapid Spin blocker and great defensively. It helps versus Gyara and Scizor mainly. The Speed EVs let it out run maxed speed Adamant Scizor. I will usually Will o' Wisp on the incoming threat. If its Tyranitar wanting to Pursuit me, it is burned so I will either stay in if I'm low or switch to Ape if I'm high.
Infernape (M) [Bereseker]@Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/ 252 SAtk/ 192 Spe
Naive (+ Spe, - SDef)
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power Ice
I kind of find him to be the star of the show. He has singlehandedly wiped out whole teams. A lot of people switch in Salamence to counter this, but if it isn't Scarfed then it is dead. Flygon can usually come in and have fun, but I promptly switch out. This has excellent type coverage only being resisted by Gyarados. If I can predict right and see a lot of my opponents team then I can wreck Bulky waters switching in on him. It will 2HKO all Bulky waters that do switch into a Grass Knot after a SR of course. This also my favorite OU pokemon.
So this is my team and is fairing me well. I feel as if I have a slight Machamp and SD Luke weakness. I would appreciate all rates. Thanks all.
