THE TEAM
Hello, as I said this is my first OU team. The team has done pretty well up to this point; however, Im looking to improve it so here it goes.
Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Ice Punch
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- I chose not to use stone-edge due to it's inconsistency.
- Tyranitar is mainly used to sweep mid-game. Normally I switch into a Pokemon will resist and force the opponent to switch. While he switches I use Dragon Dance, then sweep.
- Crunch is normally used as a strong STAB to do neutral damage on things such as Rotom-Wash if I have set-up and don't want to switch out.
- Ice Punch normally throws the opponent off guard after a KO to something like a Landorus or Gliscor.
- Earthquake is just a necessary move with amazing power and accuracy.
Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Icy Wind
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Keldeo normally wreaks havic for the opponent. With his great speed I only saw a few threats that would annihilate him: Tallonflame and Latias/Latios. For this reason I chose Choice Specs instead of Choice Scarf.
- Icy Wind is surprisingly Keldeo's only Attack other than hidden power; however it does have a 100% chance to lower speed.
- Hydro Pump hits almost any Pokemon insanely hard. The only problem is it sometimes lets me down by missing and allowing for the target to get a free move off and sometimes killing him.
- Secret Sword is cool because it uses Keldeo's Special Attack Stat, but hits the defensive stat of the foe hitting specially defensive Pokemon hard such as the Chansey.
- Hidden Power Flying allows me to hit other fighting. I chose Flying since HP Electric is only really used for Talonflame who will just Brave Bird him to death.
Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 24 Def / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Landorus out speeds nearly every non-scarfer in the whole meta and with insane attack he is extemely dangerous.
- Earthquake is just a mandatory for Landorus.
- Stone Edge still is not very reliable, but would rather see my Landorus sacked than my Mega.
- Knock Off is used as a powerful attack that will obviously "Knock Off" the targets item and sometimes screws up the opponents team.
- U-turn is to clearly used to get out of there.
Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 SpD
Calm Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- I have been having trouble with status moves and I wanted some bulk in my team so I added Sylveon to solve this.
- Hyper Voice can hit through substitutes so it deals with Gliscor plus Pixilate makes it really strong.
- Wish is Sylveon's on healing move sadly
- Heal Bell Solves the Status issue.
- Toxic is to place a status on the opponent.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Def / 24 Spe
Bold Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Heat Wave
- Defog
- Thunderbolt is a move on nearly every Zapdos
- Roost is there for recovery
- Heat Wave for coverage
- Defog to clear the field of entry hazards
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- I'm not sure if I want to switch him to a fire type physical attacker or not
- Stealth Rocks for entry damage.
- Earth Power is a great move for coverage.
- Lava Plume for a fire move.
