Lead

Dark_Swampert_by_SilverDolphin324.jpg

Swampert (Terra) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EV: 252HP / 4ATK / 252 DEF
Nature: Relaxed
- Roar
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

Standard Swampert Lead. I tried Waterfall over Roar, but didn't work too great. Very sturdy and Reliable. My friend's Weezing used Explosion on me and my Pert survived (I don't know how it happened, but it did.) Earthquake provides a nice STAB while Ice Beam hits everything that floats or flies. Relaxed Nature because it is already slow (Base Speed 60.) Max HP and DEF for survivality. I personally think this is one of the best starters. Great typing combined with Nice stats except for Speed. 4X grass weakness in exchange for electric immunity is not so bad, when it is combined well with others.

Synergy :
Grass (4X) : Scizor, Heatran, Zapdos, Jirachi, Latias

Scizor_art_by_Pokemon_Diamond.png

Scizor (Windows XP) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EV: 100HP / 252ATK / 156SPE
Nature: Adamant
- U-Turn
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch

Swampert will most likely attract grass attack, so hopefully this will absorb it with no problem. Steel & Bug resists or neutralizes every other type attack except for Fire. It's not a tank, but it is very useful. When I first used this, I knew why half the team (maybe more) had scizors. U-Turn for STAB and scouting, Pursuit to pick up weak opponents trying to switch, Superpower to destroy Blissey, and Bullet Punch for main attack. Bullet Punch is just amazing. Combined with STAB, Choice Band, and Technician, it can demolish many things (not to mention it is a priority move.)

Synergy:
Fire (4X) : Swampert, Heatran, Latias

250px-Heatran1.jpg

Heatran (XBox 360) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EV : 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Nature: Naive
- Explosion
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [ICE]

Scizor will attract Fire type, which Heatran will absorb gladly. Regular Revenge Killer, as many people would say. I really didn't like heatran because it looked weird. (Look at scizor and swampert, then look at heatran.) Explosion for taking out ridiculously annoying enemy, Fire blast for STAB, combined with 120 BP AND Flash Fire, Earth Power for coverage, and HP Ice for taking Dragons. Salamence and Dragonite resist fire and they are immune to Ground. Flygon resists fire (1/4. Crap!) and is also immune to ground, thanks to Levitate.

Synergy:
Fighting (2X) : Dusknoir, Zapdos, Latias
Ground (4X) : Zapdos, Latias
Water (2X) : Latias

s_latias.png

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EV: 4HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Surf
- Recover
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse

Many people recommended Latias, and as I was editing, I knew why. I was changing the Synergy list and Latias was almost always in the list. Provides me with nice immunity to ground as well as sturdiness (Starmie was kinda fragile.)
Now, since I have no spinner, I thought I should not use Draco Meteor, since it will force me to switch a lot, which will eventually lead to many deaths. (I lacked a special sweeper anyway. Heatran is a revenge killer.)

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Synergy :
Ice (2X) : Scizor, Heatran, Jirachi
Dark (2X) : Scizor, Heatran
Ghost (2X) : Scizor, Heatran
Bug (2X) : Zapdos, Heatran, Scizor
Dragon (2X) : Heatran, Scizor, Jirachi

zapdos_2.png

Zapdos (Ventus) @ Leftovers (What else?lol)
Ability: Pressure
EV: 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe
Nature: Bold
- Roost
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Anyone got where the nicknames for Swampert and Zapdos are from? If you got it, yes, I am a fan. Roost for Recovery, Heat Wave and Thunderbolt for coverage. The reason I chose HP grass over ice is heatran already has ice, and grass can kill swampert. I have no grass move except for this HP. Ice are mainly for Dragons, which I can hit for neutral damage with TBolt and HP grass (Salamence and Dragonite with TBolt, Flygon with HP.) Since 1/3 of my team are weak against ground, it is crucial that I let this thing live.

Synergy :
Rock (2X) : Stay or Swampert and Jirachi
Ice (2X) : Stay or Scizor, Heatran, and Jirachi

Jirachi.PNG

Jirachi (Zerachi) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Serene Grace
EV: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpA
Nature: Hasty
- Ice Punch
- Fire Punch
- Iron Head
- Thunderbolt

Resists Rock and Ice and many other types. Draws Fire, which Heatran just loves, and Ground, which Zapdos rofls at. ZapdosBlitz's suggestion. Elemental punches and Tbolt covers a lot of enemy types, and Iron Head provides STAB with 60% flinch rate. I really didn't like wishirachi anyway, so this is a nice change. Thank you so much!

Synergy:
Fire (2X) : Swampert, Heatran, Latias
Ground (2X) : Zapdos, Latias

I didn't know it takes a lot of time to describe one's team. This is my first team, so I'm not sure if it's good. Also, This is for Wi-Fi, so Rotoms are not available. English is my second language, so if there's any grammar issues, please let me know, I will fix it.

Edits are in bold red.

1st edit: Dusknoir to Starmie, EV spread of Scizor
2nd edit: Starmie to Latias, Jirachi moveset change.

Hello Soultenny. I have a couple of things that I can help you with.

You currently lack a Water Resist. This is bad becasue it opens many holes for LO Starmie, CroCune, and SubPetaya Empoleon. Also, you have five pokemon who are affected by spikes, and you happen to lack a Rapid Spinner. I think that If you were to implement a Starmie into this team, you would benefit. The difficult question is, who do I replace? I would personally eliminate Dusknoir (I think that the "noir" is pronounced like "more", except with an n), because he does not seem to provide anything for your team. Besides, the Dusknoir's set you run happens to be incredibly defensive, which clashes with the rest of your team, which is offensive. Try this pokemon and set in place of Dusknoir:

Starmie.gif

Starmie @ Leftovers | Natural Cure
Timid: 136 HP / 116 Def / 40 SpD / 216 Spe
Rapid Spin / Surf / Thunderbolt / Recover

Pros:
Starmie provides your team with much needed Spin support. This will help you tackle stall teams. With the ability Natural Cure, Starmie will be able to absorb Status effects, which an offensive team hates to have, as Paralysis can cripple any frail attacker, leaving it helpless against attacks. As your team's only Water resist, I wanted to have Starmie be able to take repeated hits. Usually, there are 156 Def EVs, but I wanted to add some special bulk, so that Starmie could take Surfs easier. Because Starmie will be switching in often to Spin and take water attacks, Recovery is a good option if you don't want to rely on wish support to keep Starmie alive. If you don't mind wish support, Hidden Power Fire, which can eliminate scizor, is an option in place of Recover. Timid with 216 Speed EVs are the minimum which are required to outspeed Modest Latias and Gengar. Starmie provides an Electric weakness which allows Swampert to come in and shuffle the other team with Roar.

Cons: The addition of Starmie will lose your only Spin blocker, Dusknoir. This is not that bad, because there is only one entry hazard that your team utilizes, Stealth Rock. Stealth Rock is a one turn setup, and you have Swampert, a pokemon who will last most of the game. You will lose your only Fighting and Normal immunity, but Zapdos will be able to take those hits and roost off the damage.

Scizor: Speed Evs on Scizor are generally bad. If you face an opposing Scizor 1 on 1, the faster one will lose the battle, assuming both are at full health. Why? The first user of Superpower will receive a -1 Defense, just in time for the other Scizor to use Superpower for the OHKO. Or, early in the game, both Scizors will use U-Turn. The slower Scizor will retain the offensive momentum, being able to see the switchin. In addition, Scizor seems to be your only check to Latias, and opposing ghosts. This means that he will be taking many Surfs and Thunderbolts (from opposing rotom-A). I would recommend adding Special Bulk to Scizor. The new set should look something like: 100HP/252ATK/156Sp.Def. This will let you survive a Starmie's LO Hydro Pump, allowing you to KO back with U-Turn.

I like the looks of your team, and I hope you consider my changes!

bluewooper, thanks for your rate and suggestion.

I didn't notice that before you mentioned it. I will now replace Dusknoir with Starmie and change the EV spread of Scizor. I always thought Starmie was very fragile, like Gengar. I think I will use Recover instead of HP Fire, because wish-passing can be a little bit difficult, and just in case Jirachi dies.

Again, thank you for your suggestion!

Is it from Bakugan?Ventus and subTerra are two types from that game
Anyway onto the rate:
You miss water weakness on Heatran description and unfortunately you have no pokemon to reliably take it.I also agree that Starmie can be useful in your team but If you feels that Rapid Spin support is less needed.I recommend you to change Dusknoir with Latias:

380.png

Latias @Life Orb
Ability:Levitate
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Nature:Timid
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Thunderbolt /Grass Knot
-Recover

Latias is a great partner to Heatran.Latias can take water, ground and fighting attack thanks to her great typing while Heatran can take bug, dark, ice, dragon, and ghost type with ease. She also your dragon type and steel type provide great resistance, resist almost all type in the game. She also has access to recover to increase survivability.Latias is also a great partner for Scizor.

Well that's all I can suggest now GL :)

ZapdosBlitz, thank you for your rating!

I switched Dusknoir with Starmie, but I'm kinda worried because Starmie is kinda fragile. looking at the HP and Def and SpD, Latias is more sturdy. I might change Starmie to Latias, but I don't think Draco Meteor is a good Idea, since -2 in SpA will force me to switch a lot, and like bluewooper pointed out, most pokemon take damage from entry hazards.

And they're not from Bakugan. They're from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

Ok I want to nitpicking a bit,Ground not resist Fire type, they only land super effective damage,Rock is the one that resist fire,so Flygon only have 2x resist.
And Zapdos is still walled by one Dragon, that is Latias,it resist grass, electric and fire type and with her hig SpD it's such an easy task.
You can always replace Draco Meteor with Dragon Pulse,It's just a matter of preference actually.Anyway I see this team got quite a problem with a well played stall team, seeing there is no taunter, tricker,or mix attacker, and your only answer to stall is Starmie, that can rapid spin.In case you face a trouble to stall, you can try this set:

385.png

Jirachi @Expert Belt
Ability:Serene Grace
252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature:Naive/Hasty
-Fire Punch
-Ice Punch
-Iron Head
-Thunderbolt/Grass Knot

This set allow you to bluff Scarf set because the lack of leftovers recovery and Life Orb recoil and will help you net some surprise kill.Iron Head 60% flinch rate is always annoying and it got STAB so it's your most powerful tool against Blissey and hit TTar harder then Flash Cannon does (Sandstorm boost),Thunderbolt hit Skarmory.Ice Punch hit Salamence,Latias, and Dragonite hard (SR support is needed to KO Salamence when factoring Intimidate) and Fire Punch hit Scizor.Grass Knot help you against bulky Ground such as swampert but generally Thunderbolt more useful.
Well that's all for me and again GL

Hello!

This is a pretty nice team. It isn't weak to any major threats (as far as I can see), so I commend you for that. Looking at your team right now however I can think of another Pokemon in place of Starmie that could help out your team: Latias. While Latias also resists Water-type attacks, she resists Electric type and Ground type attacks as well, who your team previously had only one resistance to both of those attacking types. Use a set of Draco Meteor | Thunderbolt | Surf | Recover, an EV spread of 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Spe, and a Timid nature with the item Life Orb. Latias's powerful STAB Draco Meteor would be a great addition to your team, as it smashes any and all Pokemon that aren't Steel-types. Heatran on the other hand takes out Steel-types well, so Latias's Draco Meteor will smash through any Pokemon that attempts to switch in on her (barring stuff like Blissey of course).

I don't think that Heat Wave is really needed on Zapdos. Swampert's Earthquake and Heatran's Fire Blast already hit Steel types very hard, and as such Heat Wave could be switched out for another move. If I were you I would use Roar. Your team not only uses Stealth Rock but a lot of Pokemon that cause switches. Roar will greatly help you as it can send out any Pokemon that may be switching in on Zapdos, forcing the Pokemon coming in to take some more Stealth Rock damage as well as revealing another team member. Since many of the Pokemon that you use require some prediction, knowing the opponent's Pokemon is very helpful.

I don't know about you, but I'm personally not a very big fan of the whole "maximum Defense Calm Mind WishRachi" thing. I really do prefer using maximum Speed, as it at least allows you to outspeed Gliscor and tie with Salamence. While maximum Defense is helpful, it doesn't matter as much in my opinion since you don't have Substitute on your set. Also you already have Zapdos and Swampert to sponge physical attacks so a third physical wall-like defender just seems sorta unnecessary to me. You can also try Psychic as opposed to Flash Cannon; Scizor's Bullet Punch already hits Salamence hard, at Tyranitar is really the only reason that Jirachi would ever carry Flash Cannon unless I'm missing something...

Hope I helped, and good luck with your team. PM me if you have any questions! ;)

Zapdosblitz, thanks for the rating!

I was not aware of that Fire vs Ground thing. I am seriously considering changing Jirachi's sets since I'm not a wishrachi fan. I tried and Wish support is very hard to pull for me. Maybe I'm a noob.. Your Jirachi set looks like similar to Mixvire, with lots of coverage, so I'm gonna try that.

Thanks again!

Snorlaxe, thank you for your rating!

I really should change Starmie to Latias since Starmie looks fragile, but again, like I said above, I'm not gonna put Draco Meteor on Latias, since my team lacks rapid spin and I'm gonna have to switch out a lot because of -2 SpA.

Thank you very much!
